Thinking about the parallels between Scully's confession in Revelations and her conversation with the therapist in Irresistible:
In both scenes, she admits, glassy-eyed, that she feels unable to speak about her feelings with Mulder... and this deeply upsets her.
Despite her devoutly skeptical persona, her high emotional walls, and the countless things they debate and disagree on, deep down, Scully hates feeling other to him. There's a real loneliness in both of these scenes.
As much as Mulder relies on Scully to be truly known (his human credential, as DD puts it), she relies on him in much the same way: to be the one person to see her through her thick shell, to accept her contradictions, to know her own hurt, fears, and loneliness. She wants that very badly.
So it crushes her when he can't understand her.
bored. where’s all the lesbian age gap media that’s supposedly plaguing us

I'm really not good at self-promotion or picking favorites or recommending things because I'm a Libra with self-esteem issues so why tf should you trust me but here we go.
lamplighter, f/f, Harper Lee/original character. I like the writing in this one and shame I didn't pursue it further but seriously who wants to get sued by the estate of a cranky old (now dead) Southern recluse?
coup de grace, f/f, Janice Covington/Melinda Pappas (XWP). This is part of a series, a very long-ass one. But there was some kind of spark of inspiration or divine hand at work or maybe I just held my liquor better back then, but I think this is close to the best thing I've written. At the same time I get sad thinking that because I may never hit that high note again, but you know what, bitches, I need a hobby and at least this is not a messy one except in my brain, so you're stuck with me.
the tristan chord, f/f, Caroline/Gillian, Last Tango in Halifax. Similar to the previous, another big-ass part of a big-ass series. I think it's up there too. Who knows, maybe it's even better (I think? see I told you I was rubbish at this) than the previous story because it's a bit more constrained/tighter and lacking crazy time jumps.
a good fixed star, f/f, Caroline/Gillian, LTiH. In contrast to the previous two stories, this is short and sweet standalone piece. For some reason the writing came easily and I was very happy with the result.
the marriage plot, f/f, Caroline/Gillian, LTiH. Another standalone story for Cazillian. (Shoutout to the AO3 reader who came up with the perfect portmanteau for our gals!) I started it shortly before COVID lockdown, intending it to be kind of shortish and fun, but as my anxiety and dread increased during that period, so did the need to keep writing this. So it kind of got away from me but morphed into something I was satisfied with in the end.

Members of the May 19th Communist Organization together with the Black Liberation Army, managed to break Assata Shakur out of jail in 1979, after taking two prison guards hostage. She went underground for several years before finding political refuge in Cuba in 1984.
