“Sunset on the water is something else,” Tina pointed out, letting their arms swing gently as they walked. “I figured after our night at the observatory, stunning views are kind of our thing and, y’know, maybe it would inspire similar reactions.” She knew Mia, and knew she could be straightforward with her. Could have held a sign over her head that said I want you to kiss me, but subtly also had it’s charms, right? “Cute clothes not far from campus?” she teased, “it’s a pretty winning combo.”
“I bet it is; I can’t wait to experience it,” Mia grinned. Her smile only increasing in wattage as Tina spoke. “I think you’ve left out a couple of details,” she replied. “Like the movie night sleep over in the park, or really, anytime we’ve hung out. The views have always been stunning from my vantage point.” She reached over and brushed a lock of hair behind Tina’s ear and let her lips caress Tina’s cheek. “Cute clothes not far from campus with you? That’s the winning part.”

“You would have also probably been having breakfast alone,” Micah joked, though him sleeping through alarms for a 9 o’clock meal was actually entirely too likely. He shook his head a little. “No one is 100% themselves on social media, probably even less so when they’re trying to sell ad space like we are,” he defended, knowing full well that wasn’t the case for Mia. “My channel is for a good time, not a sappy time.” He nodded with a little laugh as she thanked him. Truthfully he’d been teasing her about needing it said, but she could definitely stand to toot her horn a little about the whole shindig. “Know so,” he told her with an affirmative nod, because Mia finding a happily ever after seemed like an inevitability to him. Because Mia went after what she wants, and gets it, from what it seemed to him. Why would this be any different? “Nah, nothing that serious. I mean, maybe a date or drinks or… whatever,” he supplied, not really looking to get into details of his sex life with his big sister, “but no one is hearing wedding bells on my behalf.”
“Yeah well after I had my breakfast alone I’d be laying on your bell so hard you’d be wishing you were out of bed,” Mia teased. She laughed slightly at his assessment although she knew it to be mostly true. “I’ll admit there are people like that, but there are also genuine people out there too. There isn’t a line in the sand, good versus sappy time; you can be both.” Mia sighed softly. She wished she felt as confident as Micah did about her future. “Well that makes two of us. There are no wedding bells on my behalf either.”

Catching up with Spencer once she’d returned from Texas was a no-brainer. There was a thank you card from her parents tucked nicely into her purse for the thoughtful gift he’d sent to the anniversary party. After his confessions and her date the night before, she was eager to talk to him. It probably should have felt weird, given their history, but Mia wanted to believe they were past all of that. She was happy for him, because if anyone deserved the kind of happiness he seemed to be enjoying, it was Spencer Smythe. Still, she couldn’t stop herself from ordering a mimosia as she waited for Spencer to arrive.

SPENCER: ...I'm not going to say no to that. You know I love your treats. They've always been my favorite.
SPENCER: Me too. I think we went through enough together that we'll know the other well for the rest of our lives. And I plan on being in your life for that long if you'll have me.
SPENCER: I think I even blushed at one point.
SPENCER: I think so.
SPENCER: I really think so.
MIA: Am /I/ supposed to be surprised you blushed Spencer?
MIA: You look even better than I do in red and I? Look fabulous in red.
MIA: I wouldn't understand if she didn't. So good thing she's smart.
MIA: Don't worry, I'm like a bad cold. You won't get rid of me so easily. I'm glad we've been able to find a comfortable place to be after all.
what's an outfit that makes you feel sexy?
Purple is my favorite color and so anytime I wear purple or shades close to purple, I feel really good. I have a purple pant suit that I really like wearing and a pair of purple wrap sandals. I don’t wear them together (it’s a little much) but wearing either of these always makes me feel a bit like super woman.

I’m still trying to figure out all the intricacies for it, but basically my stomach protests when I eat meat. Went to the docs and they suggested for me to try eating fish and seafood. So here I am, a newly minted pescatarian.
Oh! That sounds kind of rough. I don’t envy that situation at all. I wish you the best of luck with the vegetarian life.
What’s Something You Were Really Stressed About, It Turned Out To Be No Big Deal?
Learning to drive. It turned out to be really simple. But I stressed about the driving test and was really nervous.

SPENCER: I really like her.
MIA: Then I'm going to have to whip up a couple of things and stock your fridge.
MIA: Yeah, you're probably right. Because if not, after everything, I'd be sad.
MIA: Not... obvious but you did say a couple of things. And you smiled... a lot. A real lot. More than you do. Which I didn't think possible.
MIA: That's great! And ... does she? Like you too?
SPENCER 📲 MIA.
SPENCER: Perfect. I'll pay, of course.
SPENCER: I do know you well, but I can admit you know me pretty well as well.
SPENCER: Especially if you saw the video I posted a couple of days ago.
MIA: No. You won't. If I recall you treated last time.
MIA: I did. I suppose I still do.
MIA: ...the 'Lover' one? I saw.
MIA: 👀
MIA: I'll hold off on saying 'I told you so'.
MIA: I'm really happy for you Spence. You deserve it.
SPENCER 📲 MIA.
SPENCER: Perfect!
SPENCER: Well, it's more like... let's catch up on everything. I know your life isn't boring, Mia Rutherford. I'm sure there's something going on in your life.
MIA: I'll see you then.
MIA: Fine... you have a point. Only because you know me too well.

Tina nodded succinctly, glad to her plans weren’t foiled before they’d even begun. “I just got to thinking after Lucky’s party. It was a lot of fun, you know. Hard not to have fun, really. But there was something about it all that felt like it should be shared with someone. So… here we are,” she explained with a shrug, taking a moment to thank the Uber driver before getting out of the car and waiting for Mia to join her. “I could say the same about you, you know. I should say, honestly. The jumpsuit thing really works for you,” she complimented. “I found a really cute boutique not too far from campus. I think you’d really like it. Some really one of kind stuff.”
“It looked very fun’ Lucky’s big bash, and I was sorry to miss it,” Mia agreed, reaching for Tina’s hand once they were out of the Uber and giving it a squeeze before smiling at the other woman. “I’m honored to be that... someone.” Her cheeks flushed slightly with warmth and Mia gave a little turn. “Oh really? Sounds great. I’d love to check it out with you sometime. It’s a combination of all my favorite things.”
If you could move to any part of the world, where would you want to live?
There is too much of the world I’ve yet to visit to make a choice about where specifically I’ve like to live. But eventually I’d like to have enough land or live close enough to somewhere where I could board my horse or a couple of them.
