Are You Alright? || Rocket & Josh

Things were finally beginning to even out in Josh’s world now. It had been some time since the attack itself and medically the life and death situations were now resolved… one way or another. The remaining patients were mainly in need of rest or could do with a little speeding alone. Of course there was always infection to watch for, but he could feel that now.
He’d lost that strange glowing form but this point, it left when he slept properly. Josh wasn’t sure when, or if, it’d come back. Josh wasn’t sure how he felt about it. He’d just finished washing up and stepped outside the Med-Bay, wanting a moment of fresh-air. He heaved a great sigh and lent against the wall. He was exhausted. Josh’s gaze moved around, squinting a little in the sun until it landed on a smaller, furry figure.
He sent Rocket a tired smile, “Good afternoon Mr. Rocket. It’s good to see you’re up and about. Do you need any treatment?”
Under any 'normal' circumstance Rocket was all for lyin' about where he was at emotionally, or even physically. Right now it was the latter. People. People were too clingy and he needed a moment to breathe. His friends were okay, sure. But nothing REALLY puts things in perspective like a bunch of hospital beds and the crumbling foundations of a university. When he wanders and sees a familiar face, he shakes his head and crosses his arms as the male is speaking.
"Treatment? There ain't nothin' that can cure what I've got, kid." He quips back to the golden boy. "Well, there is somethin’ but apparently, it's frowned upon to bring Terran Vodka to the Med-Bay and offer it around." He says it so callously with a raise of his shrugs. "How're ya holdin' up?" He was an asshole, sure. There was no denyin' that, but he was curious to truly see the impact of it all. Especially considerin' how Josh was one of the few medics in this place. Backwater planet seems like such an understatement in that regard.
