Panda Express has that Beyond Orange Chicken y'all!! 😁

This is a bit of a late post as Panda Express actually launched Beyond Orange Chicken at all locations around two months ago. But I wanted to keep y'all updated about it. I've had it several times sometimes with the rice, sometimes with the vegetable medley which is also vegan! It's all delicious! Please note that there is a slight upcharge for the Beyond Orange Chicken. It's considered a "premium item". But just know that you can order a bowl, plate or bigger plate with Beyond Orange Chicken now for lunch or dinner at Panda and you will have a delicious vegan meal! 😋

Where vegans go when they hate themselves 😅

Seriously, do I even need to make an entry about this place? Vegans and vegetarians should already expect not to have many options at a steakhouse. But to have none? No food options? Come on man. 😡

It's true. I went there to check them out to see if I could get a salad or just enjoy the free bread they give you at the table. But no. I can't!

According to their website, the only thing suitable for vegans or vegetarians is their drink list. Alcohol. That's it.

Their website is very clear. And I applaud them for being so transparent. I went through every single item on this site that seemed like a good option for non-meatraters and was shocked. The french fries have fish in them? The onion blossom has fish, egg and milk? What about the baked potato? It's slathered in bacon grease?! The green beans?? They HAVE BACON IN THEM?!

Here is a quick breakdown of what I found. Feel free to review their site to double check but beware they don't flag meat as an allergen so it may not be listed in some of the vegetable dishes. My waiter that night informed me of the bacon in the green beans.

Subway Update!! 😁

Hey y'all, it has been so long since I've had Subway. I wanted to do a little update here about the amazing vegan options they have. Honestly, if you're looking for a fast food place to eat at, Subway should always be top of your mind.

There's a lot of vegan breads and sauces to put on the sandwich and a lot of vegetables you can add. 💜

I always get the Veggie Delite sub with multigrain bread and ask for avocado on top!! I pile on every single veggie except the jalapenos and banana peppers and then add oil and vinegar, salt and pepper and oregano! 😋 Choice! Delicious!

A very disappointing look at McDonald's. 🤦‍♀️

Well, as you all may or may not already know, McDonald's is no place for vegans. At first glance it may seem that they have a lot of meat free options for people what with their "world famous fries" and all. Their statement, not mine. But you should know before you treat yourself to those french fries that they coat them in beef fat making them not suitable for vegans or even vegetarians for that matter! 😱

I haven't been to McDonald's in over 10 years but I decided recently to check them out and see if they have made any changes to their menu. I avoided the place for a long time since I knew they have next to no meat free options. Even their "salad" had sugar and salt in it which was alarming not just from a vegan perspective but literally anyone trying to be conscious of their health and just eat better. 🤔

Well, sadly, what I found is even worse than 10 years ago. McDonald's has next to no vegan options. I went by for their breakfast menu and saw they had hash brown patties. Okay, sounds doable, sounds vegan yes? Nope. No way. According to their own website, they cook these babies in the same beef fat they do the fries! 😳 Not vegan/vegetarian!

Okay, what about their lunch/dinner options? Well, if you like apple slices you may be able to snag some of these although I think they're only an option for the Happy Meals. And then there is their apple pie who somehow is miraculous vegan? It is accidentally vegan it turns out! So go nuts I guess? 😅

And that's it! Those are their only vegan options. Truly pathetic for the world's// or at least America's biggest restaurant. They simply do not care to cater to vegans.

I would be very careful with even these three options at McDonald's as according to their own website, they do not claim anything is vegan or vegetarian whatsoever. So... just be careful when dining here. 😕

Checked out Cracker Barrel the other day and didn't expect to find many vegan foods but I actually was pleasantly surprised! 🤔 I went in not really knowing what I could eat because their menu didn't actually state what was in the foods, it just sorta had the entrees and the price and that's it. But my waiter was super helpful! I asked him if certain things had dairy and he actually knew the answers and helped me pick things out. 😊

I got a side of "plain hash browns". I asked what was in the hash brown casserole and he said cheese and bacon and then offered to just get me "plain" ones without any of that! So sweet! 😁 I also had the Fried Apples which was basically cinnamon and sugar apples (like a sort of dessert) and then some slices of whole grain toast. I asked if I could get jams instead of any sort of butter and they obliged. Not sure if it comes with butter but I'd just double check just in case! 😉

Anyhoo, that's how to eat vegan at Cracker Barrel!

Alamo Drafthouse update!!

So you guys know or may not know that at Alamo you are absolutely not allowed to talk or use your phone during the movies. The whole screen illuminating in the darkness thing? Yeah no, they will absolutely kick you out! For that reason I haven't provided any pics of the food there for obvious reasons. However I was able to get one quick pic recently of their buffalo cauliflower wings! 😋 So I wanted to share that here. This is just one of the many vegan options available at Alamo Drafthouses!

I tried those KFC Beyond Fried Chicken Nuggets y'all!!! 👏😁 They're so good! Also, by the by, when did KFC get french fries?? Because those were bomb as well! 😍 It's been like a decade since I've been to one so maybe that's why I was unaware of it! Anyway, go get these vegan nuggets y'all!

Project Pollo!!! 💕😋🤷‍♀️😁

Okay, Project Pollo is way too good y'all! Who told them they're allowed to be this tasty? This is my second visit on a Saturday for their brunch menu and both times it was delicious! 🤷‍♀️😁 Their brunch burrito is my new favorite menu item and according to the manager today they've expanded it to be all day Saturday and Sunday! Not just 11am-2pm! Their tator tots are also bomb. I don't know how they get them so crispy?? Seriously, if you like tator tots, you have to try Project Pollo's! I also got their fabulous mac n cheese because I can't not get some every time I go. Definitely one of their top items!! 😋

😊 😁 Happy Veganuary!! Did you know Chipotle has multiple vegan options to enjoy? Typically I get their sofritas bowl which is basically seasoned tofu but the other day I tried their new vegan chorizo bowl and it was really good also! And of course I always have to get a side of chips and guacamole 🥑 😋 If you're doing Veganuary this month, try out all their vegan entrees at Chipotle!

What's up y'all? Today's my birthday so I went to Starbucks and redeemed my free drink! 😊 I thought I'd update the blog on some more vegan things from there. I ordered the Sugar Cookie Almond milk Latte. 😋 It was delicious! It's supposed to come with sprinkles on top. I think they ended up just dissolving before I actually drank it.

I also got their plain bagel with the avocado spread. Both of these are vegan! I would have liked the everything bagel over the plain but they were unfortunately out of them.

Update for Taco Bell:

I ended up going there the other night as it was nearly 11pm and everything else was closed 😅 The location I went to was a Taco Bell/KFC hybrid so the drive thru menu was reduced to only a few things. I ended up getting the Crunchwrap Supreme which the lady said I could get beans in instead of beef. Also I asked for no cheese and no sour cream. Pretty good I have to say! 😊

Hey guys! IKEA now has a veggie dog they are serving in their mini cafes now! They also have a strawberry soft serve ice cream cone that is dairy free and vegan. Sadly, they were out of it the day I went but maybe next time I can try it too! 😁

What's up guys! It's been a while but I think wanted to do an update post for Taco Cabana.

As you may or may not know, Taco Cabana had some issues during 2020 and the pandemic when it comes to their menu offerings. They had stopped carrying Beyond Meat for a while and no matter which locations I visited, I kept being told they were out of it.

Well I'm happy to report they are actively back to promoting it again and have it in their restaurants once more! So as of July 2021, it's back on the menu!

I actually got it delivered the other day because I was working and wasn't able to leave to go get some. I got the Beyond Meat cabana bowl, the crispy tacos and then just some chips and guacamole. I'm still not clear about if cheese and sour cream come with either of these. I don't think they're supposed to but anytime I haven't mentioned to them that I don't want sour cream or cheese or anything dairy, they've put cheese on them. So it's probably just a good idea to ask them nicely not to! 😁

Well well well, look who's pulled into first place for vegan fast food places everywhere?! P-P-P-P-PIZZA HUT!!

Pizza Hut announced just a few days ago they were launching a partnership with Beyond Meat and they now have two different pan pizzas that have Beyond Sausage on them!! 😮🙏😁

Beyond Sausage is obviously a vegan sausage that's vegan i.e. not made from any animal products whatsoever. It comes to us from the fine folks at Beyond Meat who now have just about every type of meat replacement product out there except fish or shrimp.

I know I just updated this blog with Pizza Hut vegan options a few days ago but I had to try their new pizza! 😭😘

They have one that is just the sausage which is what I got this go round but they also have another that has a bunch of veggies on it too. That one obviously costs a few dollars more since it has more toppings. So yeah, I got the Beyond Italian Sausage Pizza. 👐

Pictured here is the pizza as it was delivered to me and then I threw on some Go Veggie vegan mozzarella on top and heated it up. So to keep this vegan, just select the pan pizza as is and then select no cheese as Pizza Hut doesn't have a vegan cheese yet. Remember, you can select the garlic buttery blend crust flavor if you'd like as it is vegan guys! 😁💕

Good morning!!

The other day I heard about new tacos at Taco Cabana. Now I've been regularly cruising by them for lunch and dinner to try to get some of their Beyond Meat Tacos and for the last several months I haven't been able to get any. Apparently at the start of the pandemic, they had to cut costs and that means cutting their supply of Beyond Meat? At least this is what the spokesperson on Twitter has told me. Super disappointing as that Cabana Bowl was delicious!

But I digress, the other morning I went to Taco Cabana once again to try out their two new all day breakfast tacos since they're vegan! 😁🙏

So I live in Texas and regularly eat breakfast tacos for breakfast. I usually have no trouble when I go to Mexican restaurants as getting the papa ranchera taco or the potato a la mexicana ones mean they are vegan. Essentially they're just potatoes with pico de gallo or salsa in a tortilla. Delicious!

Hot tip for any vegans going to "normal restaurants" with family. If it's a Mexican place and it's not too late in the day, get the breakfast tacos.

So back to Taco Cabana, they've expanded their taco selection to include these: the potato a la mexicana taco and the potato ranchera taco. That's what they call them. Don't @ me, I speak spanish too, I know it's not grammatically correct 😂

Both were pretty good although they did need salsa. Obviously they're not spicy whatsoever and neither is the red salsa they give you but whatever. They are filling and good enough! Plus they're only like a dollar each so what do you want from them? 🤣 It's cheap, it's vegan and you can get it in a drive thru! Go get it!! 😁

So on Halloween we decided to keep things easy by ordering pizzas before trick-or-treaters showed up. We weren't expecting a ton because of COVID but there actually were quite a few. And we had them get their own candy from a bowl a few feet away from us outside rather than handing it out.

Anyhoo, it'd been a while since we had Pizza Hut and I wanted to double check their vegan options so we put in an order with them. Also an important part of the decision was the fact that they will bring you french fries to your door. A pizza place... that delivers french fries to you! Amazing! 😂 They're some really damn good fries too. Crispy, not soggy, not soft like most fast food fries are. I love em! Pizza Hut is in the lead as my favorite pizza place right now. Urban Bricks would be but they don't deliver to where I am and their restaurant is clear across the city 😭

So here's the breakdown. I ordered a large original pan pizza with roasted spinach, mushrooms and pineapple. I got the classic marinara sauce and no cheese with the buttery blend crust flavor. All of this is vegan believe it or not! I double checked their nutrition page before ordering. ♥️

Some other vegan crusts are the hand tossed crust and the thin n' crispy crust. So way more options there than most pizza chains.

I also got their cinnamon sticks because yes, they are vegan as well! But the white icing dipping cup is absolutely not so just throw that away I guess? 😅 My man used that with his share of the cinnamon sticks actually.

And finally, I got the wingstreet fries with ketchup (the straight cut french fries). Marvelous and of course vegan! Whoever heard of a restaurant with non-vegan fries? (*Cough*McDonald's*Cough*)

Hello! Hello! How's it goin'? A few weeks back I went to a Which Wich for the first time in probably years. I didn't even realize we had them in our city! I used to visit them in Dallas constantly back in the day though this was before I went vegan. I decided to peruse their menu to check for anything vegan or vegetarian aligned and voila! They had quite a lot of options actually!

I ended up getting the number 6 vegetarian bag. Now if you don't know, this place is completely customizable. It's like Subway where you tell them everything you want. They don't really have sandwiches already put together. You fill out what you want on the paper bag you select so it's really easy to ensure it'll be vegan, even selecting the "vegetarian bag".

On the sandwich I got the white bread with tomato and avocado and then I filled it with tons of veggies like mushrooms, spinach, onions and olives. They have lots of veggies at this place to choose from!

I also ended up getting a side of their fries which I'd never had before and I think is new. Delicious!

Definitely going to be coming back here as their sandwiches seem to be fresher than Subway's. Plus the multiple vegan options just makes it a better pick. How many times can someone eat the same veggie delite at Subway man? I ask you? How many times? 🤣🙏
