Prayer Is for You

God does not need us to pray for Him, therefore our prayer is not for God, but for the protection of our own souls (45:15). If every time we committed a sin we stopped praying, no one on this Earth would pray It is human to sin, so the faithful are not those who are perfect, but those who return to God after they have gone astray.
