Faithful Days - Akina - The Blade and the Bade (Bade)
Akina gathered his two strands of hair, Claude's and Aiko's, as well as taking the infernal staff he was all too glad to get rid of, before dashing out into the hall, Sabre clinging to his shoulders just to hang on with his speed.
"HARA-BADE! BADE, I HAVE YOUR HAIR! PLEASE, WE HAVE TO SPEAK NOW!"
He ran past her door, skidded and turning around, not before tripping over his own feet to get there, with Sabre hopping off his shoulders and then landing on Akina's fallen form.
"...Damn..."
Hey rabbit, Monomi or whatever. Can you make me spaghetti.
"...Spaghetti? Weww... I can do that!"
She waddles away...
15 minutes later, she comes back with a bowl of spaghetti and a fork.
"Steaming hot spaghetti, just fow you! Why did you need this anyways...?"
Faithful Days - Aiko Sato [Exhaustion]
[Courtroom > Room #8]
"..."
Aiko felt tired. Wrung out. Done. She had said only moments ago that she thought Akari deserved to die, but now that it had happened she only felt hollow. She had been wrong. This wasn't a courtroom, it was hell.
Wordlessly, Aiko entered and then exited the elevator, and then made her way to her room, not even bothering to speak to Akina. She needed some time to recover.
Faithful Days - Akina - A Distraction
[Boiler Room> Monomachine]
Akina decided his next best plan of attack was getting his MonoMachine prize to hand over to Bade. Chavelier would probably not be feeling too social around Akina at this point, so he ought to get everything else he could.
He walked up out of the elevator over to the bizarre device, fumbling with his card before remembering the approved swiping motion, in order to claim his next prize.
Faithful Days- Reika- Afterwards (Open)
Akari's execution hadn't effected Reika nearly as much as Kou's had. This time, the person executed was a cold-blooded murderer, and no one else had died. Bade was safe- for now at least- and although Reika thought of confronting the girl she still felt a bit guilty for her actions against her. Bade could be angry at her, and Reika wouldn't blame her for that, but she didn't want to upset the hairdresser anymore. She also thought of confronting Victor, but decided against it before she walked over. She would talk to him later.
Rather, she realized she had yet to visit the monomachine thing, and decided it was about time. So, feeling a bit numb, she walked towards the elevator and headed towards the machine.
Location change post (Courtroom-> Left side Bathroom) Victor
He was tearing up when the trial ended. His palms sweating, Victor Bamford pulled his hair tie out of his hair. He caught himself laughing maniacally as poor Akari was sent to her death, his arms crossed at the scene before him. If they were gonna die, at least let them all die with a show, right? But now he was his normal self. And it scared him. Everything scared him, actually. What the hell? Who was he? What the fuck did he just do? Say? So he ran for the bathroom to wash his face.
Mono-Keomi
Faithful Days - Eri Moto
[Courtroom > Left side bathroom]
Eri's eyes widened and an expression of horror replaced her sad one as the curler was ripped away from her grasped. The look of sheer horror on the advice columnist's face only worsened as she watched the cruel execution begin. The bear was playing with the girls emotions, even in till she was about to die. Unable to look away, her stomach turned as her dark haired friend was decapitated right before her eyes. Eri felt sick, her friend was dead, killed in front of her and she felt absolutely and utterly ill. Keeping herself from vomiting, the advice columnist looked down at the ribbons Akari had placed in her hand. Eri bit her lip, she couldn't cry anymore than she already had. Clenching the ribbons tightly the purple eyed girl walked away from her podium, she couldn't be in this room more then fully necessary. The courtroom's air was heavy and stressful even though it was only their second time being there. And as hopeful as she wanted it to be, she knew deep in her heart that it wouldn't be their last.
Entering the elevator, Eri stood there in absolute silence. She didn't mutter to herself or tried to calm herself. Her mind was a mess and truthfully all she wanted to do was cry. She really was naive. When the cold metal doors opened at the first floor, the young girl dragged herself to the bathroom on the left hand side. As she entered the quiet bathroom, the pink and purple haired girl sniffled and rubbed her eyes. The world is cruel, people can be monsters and not everyone can be saved... These were truths that she didn't want to believe or even acknowledge. But considering all that had happened, she couldn't ignore these things anymore. Sniffling once more the sixteen year old walked over to the sinks and mirror. Exhaling, wanting to stop her tears, Eri rubbed her eyes again and put her glasses back on. Wow, her eyes were puffy... Opening her right hand, she looked down at the lovely red ribbons, the only physical thing she truly had left of the curler now other than the little bit of memories. Taking the ribbons, Eri gently put them into her hair and tried her hardest to be composed again.
"I have to s-stay hopeful... I have to stay h-hopeful..."
Despite her attempts to stop her crying and get herself under control, the high-school girl found herself retreating into one of the bathroom stalls and locking herself in.
Faithful Days - Akina - Haircuts (Bade)
Akina averted his eyes for the majority of the execution. Mostly for the sake of his own stomach contents staying in. He figured the execution would be nasty work. Didn't want to have Kagome-dono's bloody corpse haunt the rest of his duration.
As the rest of the rank and file flooded out of the trial room towards the elevator, he made it a mission to boldly stride over to Bade, putting a hand gently upon her shoulder and lightly turning her around.
"Haradae-dono, is there something you need to get out? Your death-seeking behavior...it worries me as one of your friends."
Get your head in the game- Den
Watching the execution Den paled slightly, the last times he had looked away- but this time he watched. You could clearly see the head come off- instinctively reaching for his neck the boy stopped himself halfway. Showing worry would just show off his weakness. Looking at the remaining students he rolled his shoulders showing he was clearly uncomfortable.
"I still don't understand why people react so poorly when put in such a situation."
His eyes glanced over towards Bade- wondering if he should go and check on her. At least to make sure she didn't attack the bear...but rather he headed towards the elevator- knowing that the others would be leaving soon and either way he wouldn't be alone going up.
Monobear Theater | Head Cold
A chain shoots out from the door behind Akari and latches around her neck. The curler's eyes open, and she whimpers in fear before she's yanked backwards, ripping her hands away from the advice columnist.
She lands on her bottom on a curling rink. The chain remains around her neck, and her eyes follow it up to where it's source appears to be.
It appears to be attached to a pulley system that looks like it could retract at any moment. More disturbingly, right below the pulleys is a huge, glistening blade. You don't need to be a genius to understand what will happen if it retracts. At the far end, a timer starts counting down from 40 seconds.
Akari seems to understand too, and she panics for a moment, before a whistle is heard from the other side of the rink. Her head spins to see who's making the noise.
You don't know whoever's standing at the other end. He's wearing what appears to be a male version of Akari's uniform. His hair is unfortunately shaggy, hiding most of his face in shadows. In his right hand, he's tossing a red "ESCAPE" button up and down. However, Akari must know him, because her face lights up with the biggest smile you've seen on her. She runs carefully over to him, despite the pulley giving some resistance.
Once she reaches him, Akari practically throws herself into his arms, planting a huge kiss on his lips and crying something unidentifiable... Onee-chan, maybe?
However, when he does nothing back, she pulls away, cocking her head- and instantly backing up in horror. There's a familiar giggle, and then a shake from the boy- the clothes and hair fall off, revealing three Monobears on stilts. The top one- who must have been who she kissed- blows her a kiss, and pulls out a small set of wedding bells, ringing them. Akari gags visibly.
Just then, there's a buzz, and Akari's eyes dart up to the timer- she's out of time.
She hardly has time to scream before the pulley retracts, and she's yanked backwards across the ice.
Before your horrified eyes, Akari is pulled back against the blade, swiftly cutting off her head.
As her body slumps onto the ground, the lights in the rink go off. There's the sound of something heavy hitting the ice, and your stomach rolls as you realize what it is.
Monobear trots out with a curling broom, waving at all of you as the doors to the rink slam shut permanently.
AKARI KAGOME, SUPER HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL CURLER, HAS BEEN EXECUTED.
Akari- [Lucky Ones]
The minutes ticked by, and Akari knew her death was imminent. It was scary, sure, and she knew she deserved it for killing an innocent boy, but... She felt ok.
Akari turned to the group, a smile tracing her lips.
"I wouldn't blame you if you were all to remember me as a horrible killer... But, if you can... Try to remember me as a friend. Maybe this is me getting far too sappy, but I like to think you're all my friends. And as a friend, I have advice."
Akari took a deep breath.
"Don't bottle up your feelings your whole life. They'll explode all at once, and you'll look like a crazy idiot. You saw me back there. And... You can't have regrets. Life is very fleeting. You have to do everything with a smile, because going through your life paranoid and bitter... That is no way to do it. And if you fall in this game, don't be scared. It's not the end. It's not the end until everything is ok. Please, don't fear the world."
One last thing.
Still feeling the warmth on her forehead from the kiss, Akari turned back to Eri. Holding her hands tightly, feeling the warmth, reminded her that somebody cared for her, even if she'd done something unforgivable.
"Eri... My precious friend. I promise I'll watch over you. Please, don't be like me... Feel self-control. Value your life, and always listen to your gut. Make sure... That you live. You have hope... Don't give up yet."
Akari closed her eyes, and gently touched noses with Eri. She felt an overwhelming peace and calm flow over her.
For the first time in... God knows how long, Akari Kagome truly smiled.
Tower Trial | The Results Are In!
And the winner is...
Akari Kagome!
Tower Trial - Bade Haredae - Moment of Reflection [Re: Reika, Tsukasa, Den]
Right after the slap, Bade reflexively brought a hand to her cheek and stared blankly at the girl before her, unable to process what had just occurred. It was only until Reika placed her hands on her shoulders that the hairdresser's expression darkened. She immediately flinched away from the other's touch, shuddering in disgust, before she replied.
"Innocent? Guilty? Tamari-san, I can't seem to tell the difference between those words in a place such this. Tell me why there can't be an option for no one to die. We're singling people out for their crimes, and then, we are the ones condemning them to death. This thing that we call 'justice' is despicable. A life for a life? Our numbers are rapidly dwindling down because of this retaliation. We are sentencing people to die. We are the ones making the call here, and in the end, we're just mere puppets being strung along by that mutated vermin."
After hearing the others comment about her stupidity in her decision, Bade paused briefly, using her sleeve to wipe away the tears that streamed from her eyes.
"......What respect? There has been none, especially not from you, Mikasa-san. You even said it yourself that you believed that I was aggressive and was capable of murder in the previous trial. Who is to say that I won't refrain from doing so if I was to live? Then, I won't be what Yaiba-san claims to be 'innocent', nor would I be of much assistance as an investigator. It's best to get rid of me now than later."
Tower Trial - Akina - Blunt (Claude)
"Oh my god, fuck it."
He dropped his sabre onto the ground, blowing his hair out of his face to the side and then facing Claude again.
"All of you shut the hell up. First, you bitch that we need to kill Akari. Then you bitch that Aiko should die. Next, you go and bitch that nobody should die! Look, the trial here is who killed Elijah Hayward. She admitted it. Open and shut."
He then finally picked up his sword, re-sheathing it and reaffirming a more rigid stance.
"...That is, my informal position on this trial. It will not budge."
TOWER TRIAL: OGASAWARA, Masaru - [ Feels like we only go backwards ]
"Wait," Masaru finally says after however long she stayed silent. "I...please don't just punish Kagome-san."
She'd returned to her podium sometime ago, but stood in complete silence as she watched everything unfold. She was foolish. Absolutely foolish. To trust someone so easily in their situation was one thing, but...if she'd done something earlier, Elijah could potentially be alive (or Masaru would be dead, too, but at least she would have felt she died doing something right). "I...I know you won't execute me. I know you can't execute me. But at least...at least do something. Anything. Anything at all! I don't care! I just..." Pathetic.
"Please."
