About the story:
"Jacob loves his boyfriend, Revie. He's perfect. Jacob loves him, even if he has to lie about the bruises. Revie said it was an accident and it won't happen again, he promised! And Jacob believes him. Until it does happen again.
And again, and again, and again. But Jacob can't leave him, he loves him too much. Until one day he meets a person who claims to have been a victim of Revie in the past... and Jacob starts to realise that maybe Revie is not that perfect. But one thing is for sure: Revie loves him and if Jacob leaves, he's going to murder him."

She pressed a trembling hand to her chest as if that would do anything to slow her racing heart.
His eyes were crazed, darting around to look at the shadows of the room.
Their limbs felt like jelly, afraid that they would collapse at any moment.
She was utterly frozen. Her body cut all communication with her mind, and no matter how much her brain screamed for her to run she was immobilized in terror.
He had a tight knot forming in his stomach.
They couldn't breathe. They were totally suffocated by fear and it felt like a heavy weight was pressing down on their chest.
Dread clouded her thinking. She walked around like she was in a daze, relying solely on muscle memory to get her down the hallway.
His hands were trembling so badly that he couldn't do anything and his terror made it impossible to focus.
Their throat was dry. No matter how many times they swallowed it did nothing to relieve the uncomfortable feeling.
The salty taste of fear lingered on her lips.
His muscles screamed at him to leave, but he couldn't bring himself to move. He stared forwards hauntingly.
They ran. They ran faster than their legs had ever carried them, adrenaline taking over all of their senses. It felt like they were being chased, but there was no way for them to know for certain. They were too afraid to turn around.
It felt like her heart was about to burst from her ribcage.

Sensory Focus: describing every single experience is going to overwhelm the reader. instead focus on those that stand out or actually advance the story.
Show, don‘t tell… unless you should tell: yes, usually showing is better than telling, but not everything needs to be packaged in wonderful words and metaphors. if it has no grander impact other than context or setting the mood, you can just say that the character is cold
Narrative Focus: depending on the narrator, the focus might be on different things. This can be influenced by interests, fears, emotional state, experience, ... (For example, someone who enjoys art/architectue/ fashion/... will focus on that particular aspect of their surroundings...)
Noticeable Abnormality: people are creatures of habit, they are unlikely to take conscious notice of things that are the exact same way they always are. Focus rather on things that are unusual; like an unusual scent when coming into a room, unusual heat, a car that doesn't fit into this part of the city, ...
Emotional State: someone‘s emotional state is going to influence how well they pay attention to their surroundings and which details they focus on (For example, someone who is frantic might miss details)

I am writing chapter one of the novel version of my comic - which I firstly published in 2020 on webtoon. Funny thing is, at the time, I wasn't very skilled and it was my first comic and I improvised the first chapter. I didn't even have a script. The result was a long as fuck chapter (90ish pages, which is... A lot, for a comic, yk)
As I am writing chapter one of the novel version of the same story, which is a bit different now, it's getting so long. Again.
I usually write a 3k words count per chapter. This shit is around 6k.
