Artist Ely Gordeeva loved spending time in the sea, swimming and reading fairy tales on the shore. She often imagined herself as a magical mermaid, because she deeply wished the stung mythological creatures existed. Since she spends her time on the island of Bali in Indonesia, she is vastly inspired by the tropical weather and its ambient.

She began designing swimming wear with surreal and magical illustrations, which reflect on her childhood fantasy of becoming a mermaid.
