Abigail Hobbs' blog
Hi, I'm Abigail you may have seen me in one of miss Lounds' articles or have heard of me in the news. I decided to try out this blogging thing, and I think it seems really fun, and Hannibal told me it would be good for my..."perception of the opinions of others regarding the relative truth of myself with I, not who I try to please" or something⦠so here I am. 19 years old, she/they.
β I am open to talking and uh having friends! Send asks if you want, they are open!!
About the owner of this blog & the blog itself! (read first) Hello, my main blog is @kallitechnisisa (I follow from there!) and I go by any pronouns. I've always liked Abigail as a character, and all of the interpretations people take, so I decided to create my first roleplay blog, apologies if something is off and feel free to dm me for both roleplays, tips, critics or anything else.
(You might notice this looks really similar to @v1zla's intro post, he helped me a lot <3 wahh thank you again so much !!! fr go check out his blog he's the loveliest EVERRR π)
Don't send sexual prompts please! Everything else is probably fine (violence, angst, psychological manipulation, gore, horror(body horror, psychological horror, any!) suggestive HUMOUR, joking flirting, etc). I'm not really comfortable using Abigail for sexual roleplays!
magic anons allowed!

About the story / headcanons / personality I'm following β’ . έ βΉ . κ°ΰ¦Β·β¦Β·ΰ»κ± έ βΉ έ. β’
This is following mostly following canon with some headcanons of my own. I don't like going TOO ooc, but I really like softer!abigail & hannibal & will so I might do abigail as actually liking both Will & Hannibal in her own way (she's still wary of each. But if your Will/Hannibal works on the relationship it might get better)
Headcanons:
β¦ I hc abigail as a really caring person, her empathy is sometimes overhwelming and makes her hesitate before acting. (which I believe is almost canon?)
β¦ Even with her trying to be kind with Will and letting herself be "cared for" by Hannibal, murder family could never work, or at least not without Hannibal doing to her what he did to Will, a forceful becoming and acceptance. She could never be happy fully endorsing Hannibal's actions. She would have to numb herself to them.
β¦ She is (and used to be, mostly) an avid extrovert as a kid, easily making lots of friends, but due to GJH she started acting more as an introvert, not wanting to faciliate her father's urge to kill and even disliking her old charm. So she loves making friends, but she's terrified of losing them, being discovered, being seen as a monster, and being abandoned, so she doesn't really start friendships at all. She's hesitant to open up, and really only opens up "easily" to Hannibal.
β¦ Abigail's actually really smart & a bit of a nerd, but she doesn't usually have anyone to talk to about it and rather keeps it to herself. It gets her really attached when somebody wants to listen to her or hear her opinion/perspective/thoughts. ("Abigail is one of those very smart girls who hasn't quite figured out that very smart girls grow up and know all the moves that they're making when they're trying to hide something.")
⦠Back to her being a nerd, she's really passionate about unloved, vulnerable or ugly animals. (Like spiders, fawns, worms, etc.) This was made worse by the fact her father had little to no empathy for most animals, making cruel jokes about eating them that she never found funny, but didn't dare speak up. Because if he loved her, she had to respect his humour⦠right?
β¦ She's a picky eater and seriousy considers rejecting invitations on the basis of the chance of food she might not like being there. This is also something that made her trauma worse with her father, as he dismissed her tastes, and guilt-tripped her if she didn't eat something he made. He was the type of not-quite-abusive-but-not-good parent that typically acts nicely enough, but dismiss your fears, anxiety, hesitations, twisting her "no" into a yes. ^And continuing this train of thought, she saw her father as a good father for most of her childhood, her fears only started to solidfy into something "reasonable" or "logical" at 13.
β¦ Is a lesbian or at least bi. Doesn't really think about dating, even less with men. She's more likely to enter a qpr or a comitted friendship which she will attach herself to (cough cough, Marissa) than dating. Struggles to differentiate friendship and romance, and is likely to be very clingy to people she's fully platonically attached to.
β¦ She has serious attachment issues, and it's one of the reasons Hannibal got to her so easily.
β¦ Regardless of her circumstances & fears, she's a great manipulator and liar, and it's not always intentional. She might manipulate someone (or at least, use manipulative phrases or behaviours) to get her way or stay safe without thinking much of it. She doesn't mean to do it, but with the way she grew up, she thought it was the safest thing to do. A lot of her manipulation comes in the form of fawning as it was what best worked with GJH, but she might also guilt-trip people. Manipulation comes so naturally to her. ("I thought there was something wrong with me because I didn't feel ugly when I killed Nick Boyle. I felt good. That's why it was so easy to lie about it.")
β¦ ^She's expressive and aware of it, she lets herself openly show her emotions fully with her face especially when it benefits her.
β¦ She likes micro-labels, neopronouns, all that stuff.. but doesn't know of them (your character could introduce her to them!) For her it's a way to cope with the loss of control / to give herself an identity when she has been mostly been percieved through the lens of the people she knows, not herself.
β¦ She knows the taste of Human meat very well, and she's able to easily recognize it. When (if?) Hannibal feeds it to her she's able to recognize it in seconds, unintentionally freezing. (In the Season 1 episode Trou Normand, Abigail is seen putting a piece of meat Hannibal served her in her mouth and momentarily freezing, likely recognizing it as human.)
β¦ She deals with LOTS of guilt over her actions, but she would do it again. She's too scared of dying to give up now. She does what needs to be done for her own survival, and panics about it later, specially if she's alone.
Timeline:
β¦ She first found out about her father killing people at 13 years old. So any reminder of that age for her isn't pleasant. He started having an urge to kill her when she was around 11, acting on it first when she was 13, and involving her from the start to the end.
