Alice back in Neverland, Culprit captured
NEVERLAND, Ohio (USA), 11 June --
Alice is safely returned to Neverland.
A few weeks ago, a signed First Edition of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, put up in a silent auction to raise funds for the town library, was stolen in a break-in at Neverland Used Books.
Following an investigation by Sherlock Fairy, that eventually involved the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the perpetrator, a Mr Bill Grant, was captured and the stolen book returned.
It also transpired that Grant was responsible for the drugging, several weeks beforehand, of Ms Bri Valdivia, the owner of the used books store, as well as potentially involved in the kidnapping of Ms Jo Watson, a nurse at Neverland Care Center.
It seems that Grant's main motive was to revenge himself on his former girlfriend, Ms Valdivia, for rejecting him, but he stole the book intending to sell it and use the funds for other illegal activities. It is, however, unclear what was his role in the kidnapping of Nurse Watson.
FBI agent Tacos, who was in Neverland to investigate and apprehend Bill Grant, would not speculate on the extent of Grant's involvement in the criminal gangs which are trafficking fairy dust. Bill Grant's case is not closed, and he has been taken away by the FBI for further questioning.
With the return of Alice in Wonderland, the silent auction has resumed. The bidding ends this Friday so interested Neverlandians should put in their bids very soon, before it is too late.
