The slender girl slipped down the busy street sidewalk. She was in a hurry to get to the Agricultural Department of the nearby college. She started her new job today, she was going into plant genetics. Her mother was a botanist and wanted her to go into the same field. At first Persephone was interested in something else, perhaps dance, but her mother was the last say on things. The girl wandered looking around for any sign of the department.
When she couldn’t seem to find it, she decide that if she kept walking somehow she would run into it. The brunette bombshell continued her way down the long walk, only pausing when she saw a young man about her age, yet he looked so old because of the clear bags under his eyes and wrinkled expression on his face. She wanted to stop him to cheer him up, but at first she didn’t.
"Oh, uhm, hey… I saw you from back there, I was walking past and I couldn’t help but notice you seemed a little down, are you okay?" The gentle girl asked, spinning around to catch up with the guy she had gone past just a few seconds before. He looked sad… Not just sad, but a well of emotions. She had decided to come over to talk to him for a bit, in hopes of cheering him up. That’s just what Persephone did. She was a cheery person.
Hades walked around the street, slouching and mainly thinking. His thoughts wandered from television to anything really. He was brought back to reality when a girl that looked his age came up to him. A confused look came on his face as he tried to make out what she was saying. He couldn't help, but smile a little when he realized what she had said. "Well, aren't you the next mother Teresa?' he sarcastically replied, not really asking a question, but it came out that way. "I'm fine, babe -I look like this all the time. No need to worry." he stated, reassuring the girl. "Didn't your mom ever tell you not to talk to strangers? After all I could be an axe murder." he said again, while sticking this hands in his jacket pocket.
