So I started singing songs to her to cheer her up and she literally smiled and said I should have been a singer.” Kerry laughed a little. She never imagined herself as a singer.  “I mean I didn’t even know i can sing but okay.”

Amelia smiled, tilting her head just a little. “You’re so lucky. Kids normally just cry when they see me and there’s nothing I can do - part of working at the Haunted Mansion, I guess.”

She radioed the message over as she grabbed her tools. “Do you know when about it stopped? Was it mid ride or would it night start back up?”

“It stopped mid ride, just as the fake walls push up. Luckily the lights came on, but I think we’ve got some traumatised little ones.” Amelia walked with Carson over to the ride, the gothic chimneys rising above them in the distance.

Carson looked up at the other. “Of course, I’ll radio it over. Is there someone over there to get it back working?” She asked, getting her radio to tell the people over the park speaker what was going on. “If not, I can grab my tools and try to figure it out.”

“No-one’s come over... Oh, would you? Thanks so much.” Amelia beamed, pushing her hair away from her face and under her white uniform bonnet. “I don’t think it’s anything major, but hey, what do I know?”

“Hi, I’m so sorry-“ Amelia hurried over, her soft lilting accent attempting to subdue the lines of customers she pushed past. “I’m so sorry, I’ve just been sent from the Haunted Mansion - our radios are down. Could you just start telling people that the ride’s going to be down for like an hour?”

hi all~

so i am lia, i am 20 and i currently live inbetween rainly durham and mostly dry london. this is my little a m e l i a, who goes by mia or amelia or anything really.

amelia is from oxford, where she lived with her single mum and very absent father. nothing was ever really expected of her and that meant that she never really did much with her life: she’s a clever girl but, with no drive she didn’t do much with it. she could have gone to uni, she could have gone onto a good carerr, but she just wasn’t really bothered. instead, she looked for love - in the shape of an older man, obviously.

the search for that daddy shaped hole in her heart took her to birmingham and then london and even to the continent. sugar daddies abounded to take her out - she’s young and blonde with daddy issues, what’s not to love - and one call came that she couldn’t ignore; she went to america. 

florida is full of old men wanting to splash money on young girls, but there’s only so many dates amelia can go on with eighty year old men before that mind of hers gets bored and the banks start looking a little closer at her accounts. so with a little help from a ‘gentleman friend’, amelia got her green card sorted and then applied as a disney princess. obviously that didn’t work out, and she’s still sort of pissed off about it; she’d be a gorgeous aurora and she knows it.

she works at the haunted mansion instead, and she high key lives for it. she loves the spookiness and the rhymes and riddles of the ride, and would happily live in the fantasy. she knows where the hidden mickeys are and she loves the gothic fantasy. she tries to mingle, but she can be seen to be quite aloof - money does that to a girl - despite trying. she’s desperate for some sort of attention from someone normal, but she’d be caught dead begging for it. when stress gets too much, she shuts down - or drinks. thanks to her dad for that one.

in short, amelia has more money than she knows what to do with and ambitious to wear a crown full time. hmu if you have any connections/questions etc etc
