What  Inspired  You  To  Take  On  This  Muse: i binge watched Euphoria after hearing so much about it and was so drawn to Jules, she’s the type of messy little character i love, and she reminded me in ways of my old muse JB and could see the paralelles between Jules & Rue and the Toni & JB  i wrote with Z a billion years ago (okay last year, but still) what i really loved about Jules as a character was how her gender wasn’t the sole focus of who she was, and it was so fresh to see a trans character actually treated so mutidimentionally. plus, i dig her whole aesthetic and ethos to life, ya know?

What  Are  Your  Favorite  Aspects  Of  Your  Current  Muse:  Honestly? everything! I love her whole attitude to life, her free love, free spirit attitude really drew me in, she has all these big dreams, of parsons, or how her life will play out and despite the shit she’s been through she doesn’t let it hold her back, she doesn’t dwell on her trauma and that’s so beautiful to see. I love how affectionate she is, how free she feels about showing her love (while it was still platonic too) to Rue. Her wrecklessness terrifies me, but that gives her this raw, real relatability, she breaks my heart at times, but i just fucking love Jules. 

What’s  Your  Biggest  Inspiration  When  It  Comes  To  Writing: Aaaah, god that’s a toughie, i think i draw inspiration from a lot of places, from music, i usually listen to music when i write, certain songs and certain playlist depending on the nature of the writing (shippy stuff, or emo stuff or whatever), another is just that drive to want to unpick and uncover all the little things that make my muse who she is, backstories have aways been my favourite thing, and for once to have a muse where i know A LOT  of her backstory is kinda fucking exciting, and a new type of challange, i’m so use to creating my whole own backstory to a muse, so now i have to kinda of mar together mine and Jules pre-show canon, also honestly?? my writing partners, when you have good writing chemisitry it gives you so much inspiration imo.

Favorite  Types  Of  Threads: gotta be angst, right? i love hurting my babies, i know, i know bad mun. but listen, watching them come outta the otherside of whatever shit i’ve threw at them is my favourite thing about it. but also lowkey floof because i love love, so sue me i’m a sap ahahah! also lowkey enjoy a bit of smut, but i keep that shit on discord for the post part, because like.... people reading your smut is kinda weird to me ,ya know?

It’s hard to look at Jules and not feel like she’s about to have a fucking HEART ATTACK. Something about her’s special, always been, from the moment she laid eyes on her, it’s like that moment people talk about in songs, their lyrics scrawled to make something so inane feel like destiny. And that’s kind of like Jules, kind of like how everyone feels when they meet her, how she’s interplanetary and a fucking alien and so god damn irresistible that Rue doesn’t know how to handle herself, doesn’t know what to do with the newness of all the emotions that surge through her bones, foreign and awkward, both.

Can’t handle how so much of who Jules is and what she does introduces an anxiety within her that she hasn’t felt since her dad died, how there’s a whispering, clutching fear that resides in the ugly darkness of her brain matter, swimming amongst all the gray. How it whispers that she’s going to DISAPPEAR just like everything else good in her life, how it felt like a hot fucking poker and a dash of icy cold, both at once, when Jules had told her that she wouldn’t talk to her anymore if she kept with the drugs.

She’s not fucking stupid, she knows that it’s out with one addiction and in with the next. It’s like Jules has never met an addict before, but then again, those are a dime a dozen out here in the suburbs, where a lack of things to do and a drought of opportunity tends to plant the seeds of discontent and spout drug dependancies in its wake. The city offering so much MORE than they’ve got to keep yourself occupied, other ways to feed your pain without popping a bunch of pills in your mouth. “So… what’s Parsons like?” she cares, she really, fucking, cares, even if she feels distantly left out of the dream that the other girl’s crafting for herself - terrified that she’ll be left behind, before she’s even had a chance to describe it.

              She was a fucking wreck of a girl, like a hurricane chaos left in her wake, and yet Jules was intriuged from that first night at Nate’s party, who followed out the chick that just took a knife to her own arm in the middle of a kegger ? someone FEARLESS OR WRECKLESS, and it hadn’t taken long to figure out which category Rue feel into. 

             SHOW NO FEAR that was her philosophy, and she lived it, so when Rue came along and challenge that it fucked with her. She had never been IN LOVE, at least nothing real; nothing palatable -- infatuations with emotionally unavailable boys who couldn’t even look at her in day light those were her types -- and there was a SAFETY  in it, she knew her heart couldn’t get broken when it was just about a self validating quick fuck in some cheap motel room. but with Rue ? there was a very fucking real possibility she’d get her heart fucking ripped out because of her addiction, and that terrified her, even if she WON’T say it. But she’s doing GOOD and Jules fucking believes in her. And maybe that was niave, but fuck it, she loves her.           

             “ Rue, it’s fuckin’ incredible -- it’s like next level, ya know? it’s like so progressive and free, it’s fucking exhilarating, the whole atmosphere is like ELECTRIC -- and their totally into social activism and shit, you’d LOVE it -- plus New York is insane, you’ve been right? -- me and my dad went last summer, and I fell in love with the city -- we should go ! blow this town and kick it in Manhattan for a few days~ ” she had this insatiable appetite for advenure, lived her life like she was fucking invincible with little thought of the consequences, something both girls shared-- recklessness instilled in them both, just coming out in different ways.

              IT WAS EASY, WASN’T IT? to make promises like that i’ll never hurt you. Does she believe her ? she wants too. God, she wants too. But it’s not the intentional hurt that she’s scared of. She’s clean now, but how long before life comes along and FUCKS SOMETHING UP and she’s reaching out for the familiar high to take the edge off. 

                Funny, because she’s usually so reckless with her heart, going after emotionally unavailable boys who had no intention of making her anymore than a dirty little seceret.                 “ just stay clean, yeah? you’re doing amazing — so long as i don’t have to watch ya hit self destruct, we’re good ” she’s already watched her own mother do just that, it might now have been drugs, but it was just as life ruining, a toxic mix of depression and alcohol that won her dad custody, but she didn’t talk about that. Jules didn’t like to focus on the BULLSHIT she couldn’t change.
