Oop. Forgot to post this in last ask: Do you have any idea how many people are estimated to join/interested?

No problem! We currently have 26 people who have reblogged or commented on our interest post, and we have four moderators. We expect we’ll get a handful more when we post the link as well, but we’ll probably close the server if we get to 35 total members.

Hello! Yes, the link will be posted here. However, due to the large response we’ve gotten, depending on how many people end up joining we may only leave the link up for a couple days to a week before closing the server! Although if we do end up closing the server, we’ll definitely open it again if some members end up deciding to leave.

And yes, it’s perfectly okay to come peek in before you make your decision. We hope to see you soon!

I understand that this roleplay will feature unique and original characters of our own making along side featuring original lore, however I was just wondering if we were allowed to make oc's that had connections to canon characters? I know that we cannot play as canon characters, as detailed in the faq, but I wasn't sure about characters related to them. (Apologies if this question has been asked already.)

Since the canon characters effectively don’t exist in this universe, we’re sorry to say that we would prefer that characters do not have any relationship to canon characters, since the presence of the canon characters in this universe won’t make sense in many situations. We hope you understand.

We’re so glad you’re excited! Our current plan is to send out invites on February 15th. In the chance that we have to delay it, we will make an announcement with an updated date, but hopefully things will all go according to plan and we’ll be able to open the server on the 15th. maybe a weird question but are nonbinary characters allowed? i know nobody in canon is but just what if!

Hello! Yes, non-binary characters are definitely allowed!!! Some of the skeletons have a rigid gender requirement, but many others won’t.

Why the need for skeletons? I understand wanting to have certain characters fill certain roles, but I feel that kind of strips the creator of the freedom of making their OC unique, especially if they were hoping to have their OC in the main plot and had already made them.

The skeletons are for people who want a role in the main plot but aren’t sure where to start. The skeletons are exactly that—skeletons. They only prescribe a general arc of the character. We purposefully did not write a backstory for the skeletons because, while they will have some requirements, they will mostly be up to the player.

As long as a character fits the gender, age, and overall personality requirements (which not all skeletons will have these requirements), we will likely be able to figure something out through discussions. The skeletons are not rigid. And although we already have a general arc planned for them, their arcs are not rigid either. Some skeletons don’t even have a planned arc—just a general role.

And like I said in a previous ask, you do not have to use a skeleton to be part of the main plot. As long as you are willing to discuss at length with the mods about your character, and are open to minor alterations to your character, we will likely be able to figure something out.

I have a question- let’s say I already have an OC made and was hoping to have them in their server, is there any possibility we could tell a mod about them and get a skeleton assigned for them if the skeleton hasn’t been released?

Hello! Yes, you could. Most of our skeletons are flexible enough that as long as the gender, age, and personality requirement are filled (which not all skeletons will have) they would be able to fit the role that the skeleton has. We purposefully did not create a rigid backstory for these skeletons—there will be things you would have to include, but the rest will ultimately be up to you.

Also, you do not have to use a skeleton for your character to have them in the main plot! The only reason we have skeletons is for people who may not know where to start, and would like a general idea of a character to get started with. We said in an earlier answer that you may not be guaranteed a role in the main plot unless you use a skeleton—this is true, but generally if you’re willing to discuss your character at length with the mods and perhaps make a few adjustments, we’ll be able to figure something out.
