Relying on her powers to tell that he was just joking, Qhuinn let her jaw drop as well. “I would never insinuate such a thing! I just think that your battles are best won when wit is your weapon” she returned, her grin showing that she not only got his banter, but that it was very welcome. She really could not have friends that she couldn’t share a joke with, good or bad and every variation in between. The fact that Sam was already turning out to be one of those friends? Well..it just made him all the more attractive in her eyes.
Qhuinn startled a little when he mentioned food. Their conversation had taken such a quick turn to the heavy that she had honestly forgotten the original intent of his visit. Feeling like a complete and utter doofus, she just laughed at herself and shook her head. “You know..I totally forgot about that. Yes, let’s eat! I’m starved” Her smile now was completely relaxed, as she moved around the kitchen to gather whatever plates and silverware they would need.
Sam grinned, infinity glad to see that Qhuinn was relaxed enough to share in his joke, weak though it may have been. “I’m perfectly capable of fisticuffs, I’ll have you know,” he said. “Although, I admit, I do prefer books. Most of the time.”
He followed her into the kitchen, then paused. “Should I, ah, can I help with anything?”
