"Very well" Feeling more relaxed, Maribelle took Virion’s invitation to sit on the ground quite gladly, taking seat towards him. She didn’t let go his hand in any moment, while in the other she held the ring he has brought her, playing with it, to prevent herself from toying with her own ringlets once again. She took a deep breath before starting to speak. They hadn’t spoke so seriously before, and indeed that was a matter to be taken seriously.
"First thing you should know… If we are to get engaged, then you shall be more careful from now on. More than you already are", she said, very serious. "No more taking reckless risks in battle, even if you claim to have the best of lucks. And you won’t leave me behind. As you take care of me, I want to take care of you. I will help you and you will help me. We shall be partners for life, in all extent" she then smiled a little again, just to soften her words a little. "So please promise me you won’t be put in more dangers than the necessary. And that you’ll let me be with you, shall you forget that. I should let you know, if you are not aware of it yet, that I’m a stubborn one, and I won’t accept something different", she added in a lighter tone, raising her chin a little.
"Also… and that should be left unsaid, but I really want to be the only one for you. Please don’t take that into offense. I believe you have already noted that, and you will behave like the man of high breeding and manners you are… but I will feel better if I left that noted", that was said a bit nervously, as she really didn’t want him to be offended by that statement. But it was really important to her to feel like she was the only one for Virion, in terms of romance. Who didn’t want to be the one and only for the person one loved, anyway?
"And… after the war… and when we are married… there is the matter of what should be done later. You have your homeland, I have mine, and… well, my father wanted a male heir for Themis, so definitely he would want to meet you", she said, letting go a playful smirk before she corrected her poise. "But you are homesick, I can tell. You miss your homeland, your sisters" and she smiled then, knowingly. "We could make some arrangements towards that. But that should be discussed in its right time"
Maribelle went back to her serious expression then, looking directly her soon-to-be husband in the eye.
"So, is it everything fair to you?"
