"MODERN" ANDERPERRY WEDDING HEADCANNOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The boys are finally tying the knot, church bells ring, Thomas Perry gets a heart attack and dies wherever the fuck he is. This is pure fluff, warning may cause cavities and general tooth decay.
Most Important, they propose at the same exact time. The go to a place that has great meaning to both of them, either first date spot or a library where they found some of their favorite books together.
Todd's ring for Neil has a vine engraving on it, Todd always associates the woods and vines with Neil.
Neil's ring for Todd has a few tiny diamonds on it, it's not super flashy, but still a beautiful ring, perfect for Todd.
They want all the poets in their wedding parties and have to split them evenly. Todd takes Cameron, Meeks, and Knox. Neil takes Charlie and Pitts, he also asks Ginny to be a groomswoman.
Todd informs Keating of their engagement and asks Keating if he would be so honored to come to the wedding and maybe be part of it. Keating accepts and informs the boys he is technically ordained. They make him the Officiant.
Since neither of their parents are invited, they try and come up with other alternatives to some of the classic family things. Todd comes up with the idea that Jeff could walk him down the aisle. Neil says it's beautiful and if Todd wants it then it will happen.
When Todd asks Jeff, he cries tears of joy and says "Of course" and envelops him in a huge bear hug.
Neither Todd nor Neil have a groomzilla moment, but Todd stresses a good deal more and Neil is quick to enforce what he knows Todd wants even if he doesn't say it.
Neil asks Charlie to be his best man, Charlie agrees instantly and hugs Neil very tightly. Todd wants to pick all three of the poets in his wedding party, but ends up asking Knox so that the Best Men were dating.
They don't have a big bachelor party, instead they do a joint one that's essentially a Poets meeting.
The wedding is outdoors and to a small group of people. roughly 50-100 people. Some of Neil's actor friends, Todd's author pals, and any of the poet's friends and family who wanted to come.
Todd writes his vows in the form of a poem and laminated it so if he started crying the paper wouldn't get wet (He started crying almost immediately).
Neil cries just as much, specifically when Todd walks down the aisle Neil started crying.
The wedding goes off with a hitch and they become Mr. Perry and Mr. Anderson. They don't take each other's last name, purely because they both talked each other out of it. Neil didn't want Todd associated with his father and Todd didn't want Neil associated with his parents.
The reception/dinner is very eventful with Charlie and Knox's best man speech's bringing Neil and Todd to tears again. They don't do a first dance in front of everyone. They save it for a more private situation.
The Poets gift them both individual and a group gift. The group gift is a huge book of poetry, for the new meetings.
Cameron gifts them matching engraved pens. One for Neil and one for Todd. He says they can be used for autographing headshots and playbills for Neil and for book signings for Todd.
Charlie gifts them a trip to Paris, the other poets are pissed that he was the only one to pay for this, but Charlie and his trust fund don't mind the expensive gift.
Meeks and Pitts individual gifts that work together. They gift them A bunch of their favorite records and an antique record player they fixed up.
Knox gifts them a handknit blanket in Blue and Green, very similarly colored to their favorite sweaters in school.
Keating gifts them a bunch of books that are right up both Neil and Todd's alley without even asking if they've read them. (They haven't and he never gifts asks nor gifts them books that they've read).
He also tells them both how proud he is of both of them and tells them he knows they'll have a wonderfully long marriage.
The left ring is sort of how I imagine Neil's ring and the one on the right is how I imagine Todd's ring. Think it's cute if they unknowingly get each other plant based rings without even talking about it that much.
But my biggest hcs to date I believe hope y'all enjoy.
