Cry if you must, but keep going.
“Never give up on something that you really want. Waiting is much more preferable than regret.” - Last of the Lancers
Who am I
I wasn’t entirely sure how active I would be able to post. And as you can see I started out strong but wavered a bit. Last week was pretty busy and I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to tackle next. I decided before we go too deep I should introduce me! So below are some facts about me.
1. I am an only child. 2. I have been married for over a year to my high school sweetheart.
3. I have only had 4 jobs. 4. I prefer Apple over windows/android. 5. I have a bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management and Finance. 6. I have a one-year-old Yorkie named Rose.
7. I have been to 3 Taylor Swift concerts (soon to be 4!). 8. My go-to colors for clothing are navy or a deep pink. 9. I played lacrosse in high school. 10. I’ve had blogs since middle school. Started out on Myspace then Xanga and now Tumblr.
I hope to have another post up sometime this week! This week is looking pretty busy so we will see what I can do. I also want to try and add a comment feature which will take some time. It’s been a while since I’ve messed around with coding. Have a great week!
Song Spotlight Post 1
I am not entirely sure how this is whole blog posting is going to work. I have a lot of ideas for blog post. But for today we are going to take a look at a song that I really enjoy. I stumbled upon it last week from a friends playlist and fell in love.
You Say - Lauren Daigle
DID YOU NOT LOVE IT? The way her voice sings it sounds so vulnerable. And you can just feel the emotion. During this day and age, it is so easy to get caught up in what the world thinks of you. Society will tell you that you aren’t enough. You’re not skinny enough or smart enough. But we are enough. We are more than enough. Our confidence/value shouldn’t come from what the world thinks of us but what God thinks of us.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (NKJV Ephesians 2:10)
Alrighty! I hope you enjoyed this first song spotlight. It’s been a lot of fun getting back into designing and writing. Until next post!
Welcome / Intro
Hello!
If you are here I either gave you this handle or by luck you stumbled upon it. I have debated about starting a blog for about the past 6 months. It is something I have always had a passion for. I just wasn’t sure what I wanted to get out of a blog. To this day I am still not sure what I want to get out of this blog. Yet I feel like the Lord has laid it on my heart to plunge ahead anyway. So here we are!
So before we get too far I want to explain the meaning behind why I chose this blog name. Merriam Webster defines the words as follows:
Fearless (adj) - free from fear
Flawed (adj) - having a defect or imperfection
Just read that again. and again. I strive to be free from fear but it is a struggle every day. Yet I used it as part of my blog name to remind myself that I am fearless and should be fearless.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (NKJV Joshua 1:9)
Having flaws is seen as a negative when it should be embraced and celebrated. I used to critique and point out my flaws but I have learned to embrace them. And I think everyone could use a reminder that our flaws make us who we are.
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (NKJV Genesis 1:27)
So we are going to stop here today. And see where this blog takes us. Thanks for reading!
