propaganda works, it’s why cops are worshipped, it’s why the military is worshipped, it’s also why low income workers are treated like dirt.

we’ve been exposed to propaganda our entire lives telling us that low income workers don’t matter. that you need to work hard so you don’t become a low income worker. that if you become a low income worker you failed.

that’s not true. that’s all propaganda we’ve been fed since we were children.

supporting strikes, like the amazon warehouse strike, by boycotting amazon until the warehouse workers are done striking, is a way to improve the public image of low income workers, in this specific case, of amazon warehouse workers.

it’s a way to show the public they can be powerful.

it’s important to get behind this sort of action organized by low income workers because we all need them to know they’re important, and we all need to know they’re important.

you can’t do anything against a capitalist when workers have no power. by believing in low income workers, by supporting them, we are encouraging them, we are telling them they can keep going. we are telling them they should keep going.

none of us win when we treat important labor like dirt. none of us will win if we don’t jump at a chance to support our fellow workers.

eating for comfort is extremely natural and not a problem. eating and emotional experience are inextricable. food is a perfectly legitimate aid in emotion regulation. 

the problem begins when this behavior is hidden, feels shameful, arouses fears of weight gain (this is a BIG one), leads to promises of “healthy” eating starting tomorrow, is the “last time,” “ruins” your diet, or is otherwise judged to be bad and wrong. disorder festers in shame and hiding and fear.

eat the thing you want when you crave it! and eat your meals, and your snacks. and when you have the extra thing/s bc your gf broke up w you, eat it openly and w relish! ice cream is always there for you! then eat breakfast, lunch, snack, and so on… and repeat as needed.

if you go thru a phase of life that involves more comfort eating than usual and you gain a little weight, so what? your body is reflecting your life course. you won’t fly out of your set point range, or if you do, it won’t be for long, unless you fight the process and give way to misplaced shame

Tht article abt kids Tv having a porn problem is so so so unfortunately accurate. Even when I was like 7-8 I remember logging on the internet during my screen time, and go on google to see sonic the hedgehog art or Alvin n the chipmunks or ATLA art (I wanted to copy the drawings) and it’d only take me going about 3 pages in to google for the pornography to start to show up and i would see it so much and so often tht I got desensitized to it. As a 7 year old. The internet is so wildly incredibly unsafe for children even more so now, with kids today accessing the internet more frequently and excessively. Not to mention all these disgusting people who work on cartoons who also draw graphic porn, and will make porn of the characters in the show they work on, with little consideration for the fact that children can find it.

your experiences are not universal, you’re not forwarding justice for trans people, and you’re definitely not an ally to natives or other people of color. you’re just a fucking colonizer.
