I wonder why did Pale King sacriface all this kids if they could have bean used for something usefull? Like they are more resistant to radiance why not use them for hollownest restoration?

it mighta been because the impure vessels had wills, minds, or voices, (since those are the reasons they would be discarded for in the first place) and I can't imagine the PK wanting vessels with free will and minds walking around his kingdom when they could just make the kingdom even more of a danger to be in

vessels with minds might have been rightfully pissed that they weren't chosen

and we know they can be really hard to kill (ghosty child)

and they can focus to just. heal from all their injuries

and they could lower the king's reputation through their actions or spoken grievances

and also I can imagine one doomed dead child walking around probably didnt feel great for the PK and WL so having more doomed dead childs would not help
