The reader needs to find their own conclusion of the story. As long as the ending isn’t ‘It was all a dream of an angel’ ending. That’s a bit of lazy writing, if I say so myself.”

“Still my all time favorite mystery will always be the Rokkenjima Mass Murder Incident, also known as The Rokkenjima Eighteen Murders or The Witch’s Legend Serial Murders Incident.”

"It's not well known story. During the Ushiromiya family conference, it is believed that a massacre took place. This was supported by the fact that everyone did not return and there is evidence that there was a huge explosion that took place. It is believed that the motive behind the murders was the fight over the gold that Kinzo Ushiromiya possessed. The case was not solved and several years later two message bottles were found that details the events that transpired. However, the problem was that the order of murders that took place were different, adding more to the mystery of the incident as well as adding interest to the public."

Black Hat took a moment to take in his surroundings. It was rather a glorious library if he was being completely honest with himself. Numerous tomes that he found himself itching to see what lay hidden behind each cover, as well as interesting looking statues sporadically decorating the place. He silently wondered if each had a story or meaning, or if they were simply chosen randomly by the owner for aesthetic purposes.  

“Pleased to meet you, Miss Aurora. I am also curious as to how I got here, as well as how I ended up this size. Also, I am curious as to whether or not your feline friends are going to see me as their next meal.”

Not that Black Hat could not defend himself, in his previous form. He was unaware of the strength or his abilities in his current form however. Call him weird, but death by cat was not how he wanted to go out.

Featherine, of course, didn't miss as Black Hat examined the outstanding library after all it was a feast for the eyes. "In fact, anyone who comes here for the first time is impressed by the outstanding radiance of this place. Many of these books are written by me. Actually they are also worlds that I have created, dimensions and much more that are closed in these books. The expression, books are the gate to another world, applies here very literally. If you wish you can, of course, after we have fixed all your problems and found a way out, come by for a cup of tea and take a closer look at some of my best works I have always enjoyed hearing the opinions of others about my works..."

"Oh I digress, please excuse me. I hope I didn't annoy you too much with my tales?"

"Well there is a solution to every problem but we would need some hints on how you got here at all. Can you possibly remember the last thong before you came here? Maybe this could help us to find the solution to this problem," Featherine said and pulled some books from various shelves.

"As for my cats, you don't have to worry about that. They are my bodyguards and protect me they would only attack you, only if I commanded them or if they saw a threat. They are just not ordinary cats but rather protagonists from the many worlds I have created and who have proved to be worthy to continue to exist as my bodyguard at my side. Even if I don't need bodyguards I enjoy their company."

But I’m bored and I have nothing to lose anyway, she thought. And started patting his black hat.

His voice, usually booming and commanding, was now small and squeaky; definitely not fitting of an eldritch horror such as him. As a means of sending his demand home, Black Hat turned his face upward and snapped at the fingers that were currently petting him like he was some household cat.

“Alright, alright, I stop.”

She could no longer suppress a smile. Such an behavior was quite amusing for her. This little creature did not even know who she was and yet he screamed around like he was the god of existence. Well, the witch of drama was definitely amused and if she didn’t know better, she would think that one of her many cats was sitting in front of her.

“Well, you could at least give me your name, so that I could treat you more respectfully, otherwise I will not treat you differently from how I treat one of my many cats.”

Many small lights began to flash behind her. At first you might think of them as stars, but when you looked more closely you could see that these were many cat’s eyes, curiously watching there master.

Black Hat didn’t even pay the felines any mind, though considering his size and the fact that his powers were greatly diminished, he might want to reconsider such a stance.

“Black Hat. My name is Black Hat.”

This was ridiculous. Where was he, who was this woman, what happened to him, who did this to him and, most importantly, how was he going to get back to normal?

And this is my home The City of Books to answer a few of your questions" Even if Black Hat didn't ask she could read him. He probably had many questions.

I myself am unsure how you even got there. This place is a sacred realm under the supervision of the Witch Senate. The library itself is protected by a holy barrier. Only a witch of the Senate may enter, and outsiders may only enter if they are invited. And I'm pretty sure you are neither Senat member nor have I invited you for tea."

Black Hat was doing paperwork when suddenly he felt something on his body. Black Hat felt his body getting warmer and he had no idea what was going on.

“What is this weird feeling?! Why I feel so warm?!”

Black Hat felt like he had to take off his black trench coat off and his red tie. Black Hat called Flug into his office to check if he had got sick. Black Hat took off his gloves and his grey vest. Then Black Hat’s thoughts were filled with dirty thoughts.

“You called me sir. Is there something wrong?” Flug asked.

“Flug……. I feel so…….weird”

Flug noticed that Black Hat was sweating and took some of his clothes off. Flug has never seen Black Hat act like this before.

“I make some potion what will make your sickness or whatever you have go away. I come back in a couple of hours” Flug said while he went back to his lab.

Featherine had lost a bet against her Miko Bernkastel. In truth, she had lost on purpose because it was interesting to lose and find out what punishment she had for her. Featherine had to admit that the punishment was quite extraordinary.

She had rather expected that she would torture her or do anything inhumane, instead Bernkastel demanded that she wear a Miko outfit for the next few hours made out of paper and she has to visit the last person she had seen before her. Normally the powerful witch would not do such a thing, but she was full of boredom so she decided to make an exception though she doubted she would come across well in such an outfit.

So she teleports to the property of the last person she met. She looks at the big wooden door and knocked. “Hello Lord Black Hat, I hope it does not bother you if I stop by for a quick visit.” she said, moving carefully so the paper kimono would not be torn apart.

Black Hat was bit shocked when he saw that witch lady coming into his office. Also why she was wearing kimono and the kimono looked like it was made with paper.

“I-i-it’s you again! What y-y-you’re doing my office?!”

Black Hat felt his heart hit a beat and his cheeks felt warm. Also why he was stuttering, he is a bad guy and bad guys never stutter. Black Hat got up from his chair and tried to seem angry.

“You witch lady or whatever your name was, leave my office this instant!!”

Featherine smirked at him. “Well, I lost a bet and now I have to wear this kimono made of paper for a few hours and have to visit the last person I meet and this is you” Featherine explain to him while she came closer.

The witch wondered why did he acts so different? Was it because of the Kimono she was wearing or was it something she wondered.

“The name is Featherine Augustus Aurora, but you can call me Featherine and I just came in and I should leave now? How rude of you” she said maybe she should tease him a little bit that would be quite entertaining.

Black Hat backed away from Featherine and he felt his heart hit a beat again. When Black Hat realized he was having dirty thoughts he was shocked. But maybe Featherine could help him with her magic before he does something he might regret.

Black Hat started gently stroke Featherine’s right cheek with his right hand.

“Usually I wouldn’t ever do something like this. But I have to get rid of this stupid heat! One more thing my dear~, I’ll be in charge”

Black Hat took Featherine’s kimono off and then he kissed her deeply into her lips.

Featherine had lost a bet against her Miko Bernkastel. In truth, she had lost on purpose because it was interesting to lose and find out what punishment she had for her. Featherine had to admit that the punishment was quite extraordinary.
