Long-nosed Bandicoot (Perameles nasuta)

…is a species of bandicoot endemic to Eastern Australia. Unlike other members of its genus the long-nosed Bandicoot lacks any striking coloration and is a drab brown color. The Long-nosed Bandicoot is a secretive and solitary animal and hunts at night for burrowing invertebrates and plants which it locates with its long nose.
