I just watched a fantastic video about what attachment actually means in Star Wars. It might reframe the way you think about the Jedi, Anakin, and the whole conversation around love in the first six movies.

For me personally, one of the biggest takeaways for me was learning the word amatonormativity (means society treats romantic love and marriage as the ultimate, default goal of a meaningful life.) The video digs into how that assumption shapes the way we interpret the Jedi’s teachings, and how it leads us to project our own cultural biases onto the actual story George Lucas is telling.

the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.

For High Republic fans.... What other iconic images do or might jump out for you in the series? Lightsaber Hilts? Symbolic representation of how characters view the Force? I want to create a compilation image similar to tattoo designs I've seen but use fine liners and watercolours on paper instead.... Thoughts please!

what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

I'm a new tumblr user, but I've observed others' tumblr blogs for years--and the reblog feature and additions was one of the most fun things about seeing posts!
