Hey, I'm Cherry. This is my Animal Crossing blog where I post stuff about the games and my towns/island. I also post random thoughts and, occasionally, art.

My ANCH island is called Maraschino, and my current residents are Dierdre, Sprocket, Norma, Agent S, Ketchup, Anchovy, Phil, Drake, Hopper and Alli.

Stuff to note:

- I've been properly into the series for less than a year, so there may be things I don't know about yet. Please forgive me if I make any mistakes when discussing the game, and feel free to provide corrections; as long as you just don't talk down to me, please. LOL.

- I use a good amount of free-to-use custom designs on my NH island. Please do not assume I'm the creator of a design unless specified otherwise. I can provide credit for any of these designs upon request.

- Copper and Booker are some of my favorite characters. Since they are frequently depicted as police officers, I should probably clarify that I don't like them for any sort of pro-cop reason; I do not support real police officers or systems, and you shouldn't either.

- Though They're thankfully not prevalent in this community, I still must repeat my strict DNI on Proship/Darkship/Comship/whatever they're calling themselves now.

The most obscure Happy Home Paradise feature:

Since no villagers have posters in their homes by default, and the game does not allow you to gift posters to them, there is a special reaction villagers have to their own posters when spoken to in their homes that can pretty much only be triggered by adding said poster with the DLC's home interior editor.

I was thinking "Redd should have his own Timmy & Tommy," and then I realized that I can just make them myself.

They're Redd's "nieces," a random pair of unrelated fox orphans he adopted to show up that lousy raccoon dog and his lousier pups. He claims they're twins; "They're fraternal!" he insists.

Their personalities are based on the three types of persuasion:

While their "uncle" is ethos, Kit is logos and Sue-May is pathos. Kit is a bombastic type, who pitches a sale by making up convincing-sounding nonsense. Sue-May is a sensitive girl who plays up her pitifulness for sympathy, swaying suckers with her emotional appeal.

They're not really bad kids, just very loyal to the guy that gave them a roof over their heads.

Do we know how Nook Miles Islands determine which villager they'll spawn?

Been hunting for a while, and it feels like at least 40% of my pulls are the same handful of animals, for whatever reason (I'm constantly getting Rocco and Patty in particular, like, every other trip.) Has me wondering about the RNG system there.
