Promotions were difficult. Long and hard days filled with practice, performance and interviews, little sleep or time to rest and also little food. Everything was rushed and hectic and stressful. You had known this would be happening before but it was hard to see the full extent before actually having to go through it. The past few days you had passed out every time you sat down in front of the mirror, waiting for your make-up and hair to be done. It was one of the few times you could get some rest without having to stress.
“[y.n]?” Someone tapped your shoulder gently. “You’ve got a visitor.” You raised your head to look at the door through the mirror. A soft smile spread on your lips as you saw who it was. Jungwoo, your best friend, returned that smile brightly before walking over, leaning against the desk in front of you at a spot where he wouldn’t be in the way of your stylist. Immediately you felt happy and at ease. Jungwoo was the one person that could do that to you. You loved your members but it wasn’t the same as it was around Jungwoo. You had known him for years and fully trusted him. “Hey.” He greeted. “Hey yourself.” You were tired and wanted to sleep but chances to talk to him were limited these days. Both of you were promoting in your groups right now and he had a whole lot of fans who would be following him if you tried to meet up. And both of you know that dating rumours would spread as soon as people saw you alone together. Which would be followed by hateful comments towards the two of you and neither of you really wanted that. “You look tired.” He remarked. “Still cute, but tired.” He looked at you worried. For some reasons he took the whole stress way better than you. Probably because to him dancing was way easier which meant that he didn’t practise till late night unlike you. But you had to. In order to make everyone happy, you had to. “I’m okay.” You answered. His compliment had made you a little happier. A little fuzzy and warm on the inside too. It was nice to hear it from him. It was nice to see that someone worried. Your make up covered up those dark circles underneath your eyes and the fact that you looked really pale these days. Only those who really payed attention where able to see how tired you really were. You didn’t tell anyone how drained you felt. They had other things to worry about and you didn’t want to take their attention away from promotions. “You need to sleep more.” Jungwoo leaned forwards a little to look at you better. For a second you worried that he would be able to see how tiered and ugly you looked underneath the make-up. Being friends with a visual from a popular boy group without feeling ugly wasn’t easy. You were happy your best friend was loved and complimented by so many but you couldn’t help but feel a little envious. Also, you tried avoiding standing close to his group during encore so you wouldn’t have to be to insecure about your own looks. “I’m okay, Jungwoo.” You didn’t want anyone to push you to do something. You knew what you were doing and what was okay for you. You didn’t need anyone to tell you what to do. Or what was good for you. “I’m just worried.” He mumbled, looking a little sad. “I don’t want something to happen to you.” The puppy eyes he gave you made you feel bad and guilty in an instant. Your best friend only worried about you while you lashed out at him for doing so. “I’m sorry for lashing out.” You would’ve let your head hang if it wasn’t for your stylist to hold your chin right now. “But I’m okay, Jungwoo.” You were. Maybe a little exhausted but nothing you couldn’t handle. You chose the idol life. With its good and bad sides. Jungwoo didn’t answer. He seemed to think about something but before you could ask, he got called by someone who told him that he had to go on stage now. He was gone before you could even talk about different topics, leaving you a little sad. Talking with Jungwoo always helped you calm down and feel better. Your hair and make-up were done just five minutes later and your manager ushered you and the rest of your group out and towards the stage. NCT was already done with their rehearsal and you saw them fooling around in front of a camera on the other side of the stage. Right now, Jungwoo was standing next to Lucas, leaning against him a little, while watching Taeyong talk about something. Your group got called out to go up next and someone handed you your name sign to wear over your top. You put it one, before following the other members, taking your position, right behind your leader. Rehearsals went well, so did the prerecording a little later. You would perform live today but for some reasons they still wanted a pre-recorded version. You didn’t ask. Questioning things sometimes just led to arguments. You put on a bright smile and danced and sang. After all it was for your fans, right? And you wanted them to be happy. The downfall came a little later. You started feeling a little dizzy a few minutes before you had to go on stage for the actual live performance. Till now you had been okay. Tired, but still okay. You drank a few sips of water, telling yourself that it was nervousness and that it would be gone as soon as you started your performance. However, it didn’t. You felt hot and cold at the same time as you took your position and your limbs were heavier then usually while dancing. You shook your head slightly and told yourself to focus but still noticed how you were dancing off beat and not being able to fully do the moves. When your group reached the first chorus you felt like throwing up and seconds after you finished it, your vision started to spin before you lost sense and everything turned black.
When you woke up you were in a hospital room. A needle in your arm, attached to a long tube that ran to an infusion bag. You felt weak and tired, way more than before. But also, shocked because you obviously fainted during a live show. You fainted in front of people and cameras. On live television. And the possible consequences scared you. The door was opened, reviling your manager. He looked relieved when he saw you were awake and softly closed the door before walking over. “How are you feeling?” He asked. Your first instinct was to tell him that you felt okay but then you realized that it was, what had brought you here. And that he probably wouldn’t believe it anyway. He had made it clear that he didn’t want you or the rest of your group to lie to him when it came to health. “Exhausted.” You mumbled, eyes casting down. You expected him to scold you for putting your company in a bad position and stuff like that but instead he reached forward and patted your shoulder. “No activities for you for at least a week. And I will personally take you girls home after your dance teachers wrapped up practice.” He gave you a stern look. “Sleep the rest of the day, I will take care of everything else. Including the dating rumours. And if you want, you can put out a message for your fans tomorrow, telling them how you feel, alright?” You widened your eyes. What dating rumours did he meant? You had stayed away from most other idols in public and still somehow got caught in a dating scandal? At the same day you fainted? “Your friend Jungwoo rushed on stage right after everyone realized you dropped to the floor.” Your manager explained when he saw your expression. “The show producers were fast enough to immediately switch over to the pre-recorded version so people only saw you like that on television for a second but there were quite a lot of people who filmed your performance. Or started filming after they saw it happened. And now there are about fifty videos showing how he carried you of stage while Eunjung held onto your hand. Could have been a romantic drama scene but for us it means more trouble than we already have.” It did. Having you faint in public would already cause a lot of harsh comments from the public. Jungwoos appearance stirred up rumours and more negative comments towards both him and you. This was a lot. “I’m sorry.” You mumbled. You really were. You hadn’t planned to cause this much trouble. For anyone. And you also didn’t want to pull SM Entertainment into this. “SM Entertainment put out a statement already. They explained that the two of you are friends since elementary school and that Jungwoo got really worried when he saw you faint and couldn’t stop himself from rushing up there and trying to help you.” You had a feeling that SM took the whole situation a lot worse than your company did. People knew that you and Jungwoo went to school together and that you had befriended each other, however you rarely talked about it in public. There had been some dating rumours before but nothing that wouldn’t die down if it just got ignored. This was different. And SM Entertainment was a far larger company than yours, just like NCT was a more popular group than yours. Plus, their company seemed to be caught in scandals more often than most other companies did. “Should I put out something too?” You asked. But your manager shook his head. “We take care of the dating scandal, you take care of yourself for now.” You were relieved. You had expected harsh words from both your manager and your company but till now none of that had happened. Instead they took care of you and everything that needed to be done. “Thank you.” You couldn’t bow because you were lying in bed but you made a mental note to properly thank both your manager and your company for doing all of this. “Thank us by getting healthy again.” Your manager grinned before promising that he would talk to a doctor to find out when you would be allowed to go home and then saying goodbye for today. You yawned, getting ready to sleep more when someone knocked. Seconds later Jungwoo slipped into the room. “You should be sleeping.” He whispered when he saw you looking at him. You rolled your eyes. “Does that mean you would have just sat down and stared at me if I did?” It seemed a bit creepy to you to hear this. Why would he be here if he expected you to sleep anyway? “Don’t roll your eyes at me right now. Do you know how scared everyone was after you fell?” Jungwoo stopped in front of your bed, giving you a slight glare. “I knew you were tired but that was not what I expected.” Unlike your manager Jungwoo actually appeared to be angry. He was still glaring slightly and that for him was weird enough because he normally wasn’t like this. “I didn’t know this would happen.” You started defending yourself. “You know how stressful promoting is and you also know I’m not a good dancer. I didn’t want to lack and make the performance bad for everyone.” You didn’t. The people who supported you deserved a great performance and therefore you had to work hard to make them see you appreciated every little bit of support. “And that’s why you decided to not sleep for almost five days and skip almost every meal? Your fans want you to be healthy not to pass out because your body just gave up. Do you understand what everyone was going through after you lost consciousness?” His tone was so harsh that tears started to spill from your eyes. You expected your management to be angry and him to be all understanding at for some reason both parties were doing the exact opposite. And you were still tired and felt weak and bad because you had dragged him into this mess. He had to be angry because of that, right? “I’m sorry that you are part of this.” You whimpered. “I didn’t want to put you in a bad light and start rumours, I’m sorry Jungwoo.” His eyes widened at that. “You think I’m angry because they think we are dating?” He questioned and you nodded. He had to be, right? His company probably had some harsh words for him afterwards. “They can think were dating all they want, that’s not what I care about. I don’t regret anything I did after it happened. You are my best friend and that gives me every reason to care for you.” He took a few steps closer and grabbed you hand. “I’m mad because you were not taking care of yourself. And not just the ‘forgot to eat breakfast’-type. You were so absorbed in trying to be perfect that you forgot to eat and sleep. I know a lot of people praised you for being better and for being able to follow the choreography so well, even though it is really fast but not at this cost.” He sat down next to you while speaking. His tone was a lot gentler than before and so was his expression. It was back to the Jungwoo they knew. The soft, cuddly, caring Jungwoo that you liked, not the one who made you cry just a few minutes ago. “Move over.” He pushed your leg gently. You were confused but you did what he told you, scooting over in your bed. “We always used to cuddle, when you were crying, remember?” Before you could do anything to stop him he had climbed into bed next to you and wrapped his arms tightly around your body. He was right. You used to cuddle whenever one of you was sad but that was before any of you debuted. Now anyone could come in and see this. “We’re already in trouble because of dating rumours if someone sees this it will only get worse.” You tried to stop him but your best friend didn’t budge. “I don’t care, they can think whatever they want.” He mumbled, pressing his head into your shoulder. “I’m not pulling on that needle in your arm, right?” You shook your head, lifting your arm to show him. He didn’t bother raising his head so it was kind of useless. “But what if you get scolded by your company?” Jungwoo responded with a scoff. “They’ve been through worse than this.” His voice came out muffled. “None of us had a bad reputation previously and a lot of people wrote positive comments about me carrying you of stage so they saw it as more of a ‘positive scandal’ and didn’t stress too much about it.” He reached out pulling his phone out his pocket, unlocked it and tapped a few times before holding it in front of your face. A video that someone had taken during your performance. It started during the middle of the first chorus which meant the person had started to film just seconds before you fainted. And you were right. Suddenly there was a collective scream heard and you saw yourself sinking to the floor. The music continued playing as the rest of your group surrounded you, trying to figure out what had happened. Then you saw Jungwoo rushing onto the stage and grabbing your wrist carefully, before taking of his jacket, tying it around your waist and lifting you up. It ended after he had carried you backstage, Eunjung holding your hand and following him. It was weird seeing yourself like that. To be honest you always felt weird when watching videos of yourself but this one was a new kind. “Thank you for taking care of me.” You spoke into the silence after it had ended. Neither one of you had spoken for a minute or two. You had needed that time to process everything you just saw. “Read the comments.” Was all he said, watching you while you scrolled down, reading what people had written about it. There were a whole bunch of people who were concerned, asking if you had gotten sick or accusing your company of overworking you. A few who cursed out either Jungwoo or you and told you to stay away from each other. And a lot who wrote that they were shipping it, leaving uplifting messages and wrote how amazing he was for being so fast and taking care of you and how he was ‘boyfriend material’ and that they hoped that you and he were dating but even if you would turn out to be just friends it would be an amazing friendship. “You don’t need to worry about it.” He mumbled. “The majority of our fans seem to support us. And people knew we were close friends before and supported us and now they still do so.” No matter what he said you still felt shitty. You had gotten your company, your members, your manager and him in trouble. “Please don’t ever do stuff like that again.” Jungwoo looked at your face while speaking. His gaze was intense enough for you to blush a little. Hopefully he wouldn’t notice. “I know you’re not confident in your looks and dancing but please don’t push yourself like that again.” He really had no clue what he was doing to you. Not a single clue. At least you thought. “I don’t like seeing you like this. It hurts.” You felt your heart skip a beat at that confession. Like he was saying it in a way that meant he liked you more than just a friend. Or you were interpreting to much into it. “Why do you worry so much?” You asked without even thinking about it. Jungwoos behaviour towards you today was different from usually. And it couldn’t just be because you fainted. He didn’t get worried to the point where he was angry. Because Jungwoo didn’t get angry. “Because I care!” He rose up further. “You’re one of the few people that I need in my life. Whenever it's to lively and loud in the dorm I know that I can call you and we can meet up at the river. I know that you will tell me when I behave like an idiot and that I can tell you if I worry or think about something a lot. But there is one thing I might have kept one thing away from you.” “What?” You asked. It was surprising. Jungwoo and you didn’t keep secrets from each other. No matter how embarrassing or dumb they were. “It’s easier to show you.” “Oh god, you got a tattoo, right?” Jungwoo laughed and shook his head. “No, that’s not it.” He grinned, inching a little closer. “Don’t move, okay?” A nod from you. If he asked you to you wouldn’t. “Can you close your eyes?” Another nod. You fully trusted him. And he wouldn’t do something stupid. The next thing you felt were soft lips moving against you own. A hand that tangled into your hair. And butterflies that danced wildly in your tummy. You had always felt happy and giddy whenever Jungwoo was around but this was a new kind. His kiss was gently. Just like his personality. “I like you, [y.n].” His lips brushed against your cheek. “I like you so damn much. That’s a reason why I worry so much about you. I know it is going to be hard and that we are going to have to hide it for a long time probably but I am willing to do this for us.” He was right. You had seen how much damage and trouble relationships could cause for young groups. You would have to hide it for years probably before you could tell anyone. But just like him you were willing to do this. “I like you too.” Both of you giggled. It helped a lot with the nervousness. Giggling always helps when you nervous. “And I want to try it.” You knew you were putting a lot at risk. But you deemed it worth it. Jungwoo was worth it.
I though it was called ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ not 'Chicago Chainsaw Massacre’…

This is inspired by and build around Heathrose by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
JB PNG by ludo994 [deviantart.com]
Once a boy a Rosebud spied, Heathrose fair and tender, All array'd in youthful pride, Quickly to the spot he hied, Ravished by her splendour. Rosebud, rosebud, rosebud red, Heathrose fair and tender!
The moment he first laid eyes on you, he was captivated. Such an amount of beauty and joy and innocence was a rare trait for a human soul and he knew he needed to have you. You were dancing bare feet on the grass with your friends, laughing and not caring for anything around you. The way you moved so happily mesmerized him. Your laugh was like a song to his ears. Your bright aura lurked him in and touched his dark, tainted soul. It had been centuries since he last felt the need to possess something as much as he did when he saw you underneath the trees that night. Through the shadows he slowly crept closer. He hid within them, invisible for you or your friends. The human eye wasn’t able to see him until he decided he wanted to be seen. And for now, he didn’t. For now, he would wait. Wait for his chance to be able to take you with him and make you his. Said the boy, "I'll now pick thee, Heathrose fair and tender!" Said the rosebud, "I'll prick thee, So that thou'lt remember me, Ne'er will I surrender!" Rosebud, rosebud, rosebud red, Heathrose fair and tender!
His chance came earlier than he had expected it to come. He saw how you bid your friends goodbye before picking up your shoes and bag. The sight of you hugging them made him growl. They weren’t worthy of touching you. No one besides him was. He felt an urge to punish them for doing so, for touching what belonged to him but he didn’t. He couldn’t yet. Maybe later. When he had you all safe for himself and didn’t need to worry about anything taking you away from him. He followed you, still hiding in the shadows, on your way home. Followed you, until you entered a lonely alley where no one besides you would be able to see him. And he took the chance. Once he was sure no one would be seeing what was about to happen, he shook of the shadows he was hiding in and stepped into the real world right behind you. His dark clad arms snaked around your waist, pulling your body into his own. He felt how you struggled, trying to fight back but it was useless. Humans were weak. Weak little creatures that were only allowed to live because those like him allowed them to. “You’re mine now!” He whispered, dark eyes glowing in possessiveness. You were his. His and only his. No one else would ever be allowed to lay his hands on you. He would keep you all to himself, dressed up nicely and sitting in his lap all day, while he ruled over his kingdom of darkness. “Let me go.” He felt your nails trying to scratch his skin and your tears that fell onto his hand as he clamped it over your mouth to muffle your scream. Your attempt to escape him was pathetic and useless but you still tried it. And that angered him. A dark grin spread on his face as he picked you up, pulling you into the shadows along with him. They would show you how powerful he really was. And how it would be smarter to listen to and follow him. The lost souls would be enough of a threat to make you stop your fight. “Never.” His voice echoed through the darkness that encircled both you and him as he carried your body through the gate between the worlds into his kingdom. “As I said: You’re mine now.” He pressed his lips closely to your ear, enjoying the shiver that went down your spine and the goose bumps that formed on your skin. He felt your fear that intensified with every second that he held onto you and it brought joy to him. If you feared him, you wouldn’t fight back. Which meant that he wouldn’t have to do much to break your character and make you submit to him. He wouldn’t have to mark your soft skin in anything more than what he would leave when worshipping every single part of your body. No scares would be needed to show you his power.
Now the cruel boy must pick Heathrose fair and tender; Rosebud did her best to prick, Vain 'twas 'gainst her fate to kick-- She must needs surrender. Rosebud, rosebud, rosebud red, Heathrose fair and tender!
You were pliant under his touch. Completely obedient as you sat in his lap whenever he sat down and let him carry you while he walked. As few demonstrations of what exactly he was able to do, how he could torture a soul without even raising a finger and your will had been broken. It had only taken two days before you had followed his sign and had taken your rightful place. Now, you were leaning against him, a beautiful black choker with a blood red diamond dangling from it. His coat of arms had been engraved into it, showing everyone exactly who you belonged to. Other than that, he had decided to dress you in all white clothing. After all, you were his innocent little human, right? His cold fingers stroked your hair or your warm skin as he punished the lost souls, enjoying their pain and fear when he let his servants do unspeakable things to them. Every once in a while, he would order them to beg you for mercy, waiting for you to ask him to let them of and follow your request. He knew exactly that it would make you think he wasn’t a monster after all. A lie. But as long as you were happy with those thought he wouldn’t prove you wrong. Because it also meant that you wouldn’t try to run away from him. Every know and then his fingers would come in contact with the most intimate part of your body, rubbing gently while he let his lips touch the skin of your neck or your shoulders. Humans were much more sensitive than his kind and those little gasps and moans were ravishing to his ears. A beautiful song that he wanted to hear as often as possible. He didn’t care what was happening around him when doing so, who was watching or listening. Only those who stepped closer, hoping that they too could maybe get to lay a finger on you would get his attention. But never the good kind. And when no one was around you? He showed you just what your beauty did to him. Buried himself inside of you until you could no longer form words and got lost in a world of pleasure. He didn’t need to be harsh to do so. Your innocent little mind had fallen for him and he would not ruin that by treating you badly if you behaved like he wanted you to. Only disrespect was supposed to be punished and you never did that. Your will was broken. You had surrendered and given into him. You were his and only his.

“How’s your wrist?” Lucas looked at you questioning. “Hurts a bit, but that’s okay.” You shrug. There are slight red imprints from Jeon Jungkooks fingers but you are sure that they’ll be gone by tomorrow. But the fact that he was able to go that far without you being able to do something against it made you feel a little sour at the thought of not being able to injure him a little more two months ago. “I’m gonna call Johnny and Mark, you go back inside so they won’t suspect anything. If someone asks, tell them he went to the bathroom and pretend to be worried.” Jungwoo pules out a phone while talking. You nod, looking at the unconscious guy one last time, before going back into the building. From now on, you could only hope that they would get the body away before someone decided to look for Suga. You knew Johnny and Mark were already here, parking in between the vans that the catering service used and waiting for the signal so they could pick your target up.
Taeyong was back in the ball room when you arrived there, looking around to figure out where you were. A relieved expression made its way onto his face when he saw you coming towards him. “There you are.” He pulled you against him. “I was looking for you. Did Jungkook leave you alone?” You laid your arms over his shoulders, keeping the girlfriend act up. “He didn’t stay too long.” You answered, before whispering into your leader’s ear: “We got him.” Hoping that he would understand that you didn’t mean Jeon Jungkook. A chuckle left his mouth, before he pressed a kiss to your temple. “Just a little while longer, baby. Can’t keep my parents hanging, right?” You interpreted that answer as a ‘Yes, he did understand what you meant’. He pulled you onto the dancefloor again, swaying a little. “Doyoung is going to try and kill me, if he ever finds out about me kissing your face tonight.” He whispered into your ear. “Or the fact that I left you alone with Jeon Jungkook.” This was a subtle ‘Please don’t tell him’. You understood why. After all you heard and saw of Doyoung you had realized that he was the slightly jealous type in a relationship. Plus, the fact that he was also pretty intimidating. “I won’t tell him.” You answered. “But I don’t think Yuta will let this chance to tease Doyoung more than he already does slip.” You really didn’t. The Japanese had teased Doyoung mercilessly about tonight the past weeks and you were sure he would continue to do so. So, Taeyong could only hope Yuta didn’t see these kisses. “Miss?” The voice startled you. It was Jeon Jungkook again, fiddling with his hands a little nervous. You shot him another glare, pretending to be angry with him. Well, not so much pretending but the reasons were different. “Yoongi is missing, have you seen him?” You widened your eyes in acted shock, while shaking your head. “I am so sorry, but no. He excused himself to go to the bathroom when we went back inside. I didn’t see him afterwards.” You responded, looking around you, as if you were searching for the man. “Is everything alright?” Jungkook nodded, stepping back again. “Yes, Miss. I am sure there is no reason to worry. He probably went home already and forgot to tell anyone.” With that the brunette disappeared into the crowd of dancing people. “I don’t know if I can ever trust you again.” Taeyong whispered into your ear. You had to hide a happy grin. They hadn’t caught Johnny and Mark, or Lucas and Jungwoo. You had Suga and he was on the way to hide out right now. Everything worked out how you wanted it to. It had been almost too easy. “I wouldn’t lie to any of you.” Well, not about big things. They were your family after all. The only one you had left since you’ve got taken away from your parents. “I know.” He smiled. “Did you call Jaehyun to pick you up already?” You shook your head to signal that you hadn’t yet. “Alright. I am going to bring you to your apartment and he is going to pick you up there.” He took your hand, pulling you towards your parents so you could both say good bye to them before exciting the mansion and entering Taeyongs car again. The drive to the apartment Taeyong had rented under your name was mostly silent. He gave you a few instructions regarding thinks Jaehyun and you should do to prevent someone from following you to your actual home or figuring out that Jaehyun was still alive. It wasn’t anything new, the same things you had to do every time when the risk was there. Taeyong also brought you up to the door, keeping the act up, just in case someone was around to watch you. They had furnished the small apartment, making it look like a place where someone was living. You had brought some of your cloths that you weren’t really wearing anymore here plus the ones you would change in before you got picked up. What they didn’t do, was creating the chaotic state that your bed room was in. And that meant only one thing. Someone had been in here. Or still was in here for all you knew. With slightly shivering fingers you pressed the diamond on you bangle, that would send the signal for Jaehyun, while switching on the light in the room. All the clothing had been torn out of the closet, the bedding was on the floor and ripped. There were slits in the mattress. Someone came in here to find out if you knew something. Or if Taeyong hid something in here. They hadn’t found anything but they made a mess nonetheless. You were wondering a little as to why they didn’t search the living room too, but maybe they ran out of time. Or realized that there was nothing they could need in here. You changed as fast as you could, switching the dress and heels for a knitted sweater, jeans, a leather jacket and boots. You felt a little bad, when pulling the hair pins that held your hair out. Yuta had put a lot of effort into this and you just destroyed it but the helmet would’ve done it anyway. You kept the jewellery on and also decided to put the gun holster around your thigh again. Maybe you would need it. Jaehyun couldn’t drive a motorbike and shoot at the same time (he could to be honest but you preferred if he wouldn’t). You just hoped the bullets would be enough in case you needed them. The apartment was close to your home that’s why it didn’t take Jaehyun too long to arrive. Ten minutes after you send the signal you heard a bike stopping in front of the building and saw the familiar figure of the older down on the street. “Someone was in there.” You spoke, while taking your seat behind him, having your helmet already on. Jaehyun nodded. “They checked you during the ball. Means we have to be careful now.” He started the motor and pulled onto the street. No one needed to say more. You had a protocol for situations like this one. Driving a circle (left four times in a row) was one of them. If someone did, do what you had to do in order to get rid of them. And that was exactly what Jaehyun did now. He stayed on the mainly empty bigger streets. If someone was tailing you, they couldn’t open fire without gaining attention. “Two.” He turned his head a little so you could understand him. “They are keeping their distance now but they are going to catch up soon. It’s Bangtan.” A groan left your mouth. Everything was going so well till now. And while Jaehyun was with you. Right now, there was more on the line for him then for you. His whole cover could blow up tonight if you weren’t careful. “Take the next one left.” You directed him. You knew this neighbourhood. Better than you liked but that didn’t matter right now. “And then right.” It meant that you would have to leave the bigger roads but if you wanted to get rid of them it was the fastest way. “I hope you know what you are doing.” He replied but followed your instructions. You knew. And you hoped it would worked. Jaehyun turned sharp right, pulling into the small alley. “Turn of the lights!” You instructed him. “Wait till they drove past us and then pull out. I will try and shot their tires.” You weren’t planning on actually killing them. Only preventing them from following you further and finding out about Jaehyun. “I really hope you know what you are doing.” He grumbled once more but he seemed to trust you. You nodded, looking out on the road where the two drivers should pass by you any second. This was a situation where it would be alright to panic but you wouldn’t allow yourself to do so. If you panicked now, everything would go wrong. You had managed to shot a tire after being shot in the leg, you would be able to hit these targets. This was what you kept telling yourself while waiting for them to drive by. Again and again to make yourself believe these words. “Go.” You heard Jaehyun speak, breaking your mantra. Two dark clad bikers had driven past the alley you were hiding in, not seeing you. Jaehyun pulled out quickly while you pulled your gun and fired two times once you had a clear sight. Two bullets, two hits, two slashed tires. They wouldn’t be able to follow you any further. “Go! Go! Go!” You hit Jaehyuns back, as if this would make him drive any faster. But he got the message. You didn’t know whether or not they carried guns (they probably did) and you didn’t really want to find out by having them shot at you. Jaehyun drove back onto the main road and then towards your home. You arrived at the same time as Lucas, who had taken the exact same Bentley Jaemin and Jeno wanted to drive. He took off the suit jacket, looking at the two of you curious as you took your helmets off and climbed down from the motorbike. “Did everything go alright?” He asked. “We got tailed on the way back. But [y.n] solved that.” Jaehyun answered. “You?” “Nothing. Kinda wish I would’ve been tailed.” He grinned. You rolled your eyes at that. You knew that Lucas loved the thrill and the adrenalin and didn’t really get much of that tonight. He was probably pretty bored because not much happened tonight. “Don’t worry. I’m sure you will get your chance to face of Bangtan or EXO pretty soon.” Jaehyun replied as you were entering the lift. “I think things will get a lot more complicated after tonight.” You felt like you knew what he was trying to say. Till now, you had basically stayed away from them and other gangs, only doing something when it had to be done. But you had kidnapped one of their members tonight. And they would try and take revenge on NCT as soon as they found out it was you. “You think we are going to war after this night?” Lucas asked. War. You knew how far gang wars could go. Unless you grew up like Taeyong you didn’t really had a chance of not seeing parts of it while growing up. “I’m pretty sure we will.” Jaehyuns eyes got a little darker. “The times in which we just did or thing without someone else interfering will be over by tomorrow. They will try to take us down until no one is left.” You had it coming. But it had to be done. And if you fought smart you would be able to take on both Bangtan and EXO. Not all of them at once thought. His statement made you worry though. Would they be able to find the hideout? Possibly while Mark, Johnny, Taeyong and Doyoung were still in there. Were they in danger without even knowing it? What would they do to them if they found them? Would Doyoung come back to you? “Go to bed, both of you. [y.n], stop worrying. The hideout is safe. And all four of them too.” It sounded so easy when Jaehyun said it, but you knew it wasn’t. You couldn’t just switch worrying of. No one could. At least no one you knew. “Like that’s that easy.” You mumbled, more for yourself, but the two boys heard it anyway. A big smile spread on Lucas face before he suggested something. “We could have a movie night until everyone is back. You know, like horror movies.” He looked pretty excited and to be fair the idea wasn’t nessicary a bad one. Lucas was really into those supernatural themed horror movies that scared the shit out of you. Enough to keep your mind off of anything that would make you worry. “Ten is going to hate you.” Jaehyun grinned. “But I’m in.” You didn’t even know if Ten, Sicheng, Yuta or Jungwoo was back here already. Jeno and Jaemin were for sure though. They had to catch the last bus home after all. Kun and Taeil never left the house and same went for Jisung, Chenle, Renjun and Donghyuk. So, they were hanging around anyway. “I can deal with that.” Lucas started walking towards the room you used as a living room. “You too, [y.n]? Until lover boy is back?” You felt the urge to punch him for that grin. “I don’t know who you’re talking about.” You glared, making both of them snicker like evil little kids. “Doyoung bounced through the whole building as soon as you left, telling everyone he met, that he kissed you.” Jaehyun explained you, making your face flush a little. “And those who missed it got filled in by Yuta.” Maybe you needed to throw Yuta down the stairs later. Or do something else that would make him less talkative for a while. However, Doyoungs excitement was cute in a way. Especially since he normally wasn’t like that. Or tried to avoid to be like that. “Stop standing there and smiling like a little dork.” Lucas picked you up and threw you over his shoulder. Surprised you gasped and punched his back lightly a few times. “Let me down!” You demanded, earning a laughter in return. “Nope!” And even though you started fighting back, he didn’t let go of you, carrying you into the living room, followed by a laughing Jaehyun. “What is going on?” You heard Ten asking as you entered the room. “Movie night!” Was all he got. The next second you got dropped onto one of the soft green couches that were standing in the room. A huff left your mouth before you started organizing your limbs so you sat normally. Besides the four people who took care of Suga everyone was already home, lounging around in the room. “Cool, what are we watching?” “Horror!” “I’m not going to watch your jump scare-demon-shit again!” Ten looked slightly pissed. But everyone already knew he would be staying to watch anyway. He always did even though no one would be angry or disappointed if he decided not to. And he did. A little awkwardly cuddled between you and a giggling Donghyuk. Of course, Lucas hat picked a supernatural themed movie. Some weird demon hunting down and killing people and it scared the shit out of you (and Ten). And the fact that you already knew you would have to keep on a small light in your room later because you would start thinking that something creeped around in your dark room kept your thought away from your worry for your four friends a little. You were almost through your second movie when the door opened and four people entered the room. A combination between a relieved sigh and a squeal escaped you, before you jumped over the back of the couch and threw yourself at Doyoung, who appeared to be a little surprised but still caught you in a hug. It didn’t matter that everyone else was in the room, they already knew it anyway. And the way to escape Yutas teasing in this case was to just admitting it openly. “Wish someone would welcome me like this.” You heard Johnny mumble and raised your hand to flip him of. Someone snickered in response but you couldn’t make out who it was because Doyoung was holding you to his chest in an iron grip. “I missed you.” Your voice came out a little muffled but the hum that came from him proved that he still heard you. “I missed you too. Kept thinking about what I would do if something happened to you.” He had pressed his mouth close to your ear and whispered these words into your ear. Which was probably better because you felt like everyone was watching the two of you. “Okay, lovebirds, why don’t you get out and be disgustingly cute somewhere else.” Something soft hit your back after Yuta finished. You felt Doyoung raising his head and decided it would be better to actually get out, before he decided to hurt Yuta or something. Before he could do or say anything that would cause another endless bickering session between the two you grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the room, ignoring the whistling behind you. As soon as the door felt shut Doyoung pulled you into a hug from behind while still moving forwards towards your room. It made it a little harder and awkward to walk, but somehow both of you managed it without falling over. “You knew what really bothered me the whole night?” He mumbled into your ear. “That asshole who shot you got the honour of seeing you in that dress and being so damn beautiful and I didn’t.” His voice gave away how much he really hated Suga. “What did you guys do to him?” You were curious. You didn’t really believe they killed him. But hearing Doyoung speak made you think he had at least a few broken bones now. “Beat him up a little. Broke a few ribs. And his right foot. Taeyong shot his leg too. We don’t want him to ever hurt one of us like that again, right?” It might have sounded cruel but you didn’t feel sorry for Suga. Maybe it was the fact that you had grown up with violence. You had gotten used to it. And that scared you a little. You knew that as soon you would say that out loud they would let you leave the actual gang activities without trying to hold you back. But now, with NCT being on the brink of war with Bangtan (and probably EXO) you couldn’t just do that. “Hope he learned his lesson.” You heard him grumble while you opened the door to your room. “We will see.” You didn’t really believe he did. It would change some things but not to what Doyoung probably hoped for. Or what everyone in this house hoped for. “We will.” He mumbled. “But not now.” You felt him pulling you over towards your bed until both of you fell down, landing next to each other. “But not tonight.” He pulled you into him carefully, pulling you, so that your head rested on his chest. His arms came around you and held you tightly. “This night will be peaceful.” You heard him whisper. “One last peaceful night.”

I’m going to be honest: I forgot to upload this yesterday...
Throughout the next eight weeks, the plan got more and more complex. Everything was coming together as time went by. As soon as Taeil gave them the okay Jaehyun and Sicheng started training hand to hand combat with you. A few basics. Enough to get yourself out of a messy situation. In High Heels. It was a bit of a challenge for the three of you. But with enough training you figured out how to kick someone’s ass in the shoes you were supposed to wear.
Also, Taeyong dyed and cut your hair a little different, so they wouldn’t recognize you by your previous hair colour. Sicheng was in charge of getting a dress and accessories for you, while Yuta, as the one with two sisters, volunteered to do your hair. You trusted them. Enough to let them do all of this. “I still don’t like this plan.” Doyoung grumbled, sitting on a table behind you, while watching Yuta do your hair. He had said these words multiple times during the last couple of weeks. Even though everything was planned in detail, plus additional plans B, C and D, Doyoung refused to say that he was completely on board. “You don’t like the plan because you think it’s risky or because she is going to a beautiful evening event with Taeyong?” Yuta had way too much fun with this. While your second in command was absolutely not into what you had come up with, Yuta was extremely into teasing him ever since the day you got shot. He had done it before, mainly because Doyoung was his number one person to tease. “Can you just shut up?” You heard Doyoung grumble. “I just don’t like the idea of her being in a room with that bastard again. The only circumstances under which that should happen is while one of us is beating the shit out of him.” He sounded dead serious, which made you worry for later when they had Suga in the hideout. You already thought he Was intimidating on normal days, you did not want to know what he was up to right now and what he would do later. “You mean you beat the shit out of him.” Yuta corrected while using hairspray on you. “And the hair is done. And you look beautiful.” He gave you a gentle smile. Even though everyone here did some fucked up stuff on a daily basis none of them were completely bad. And most of the time they behaved like brothers to you. Most of you didn’t really have a family so the group closed that gap. Hearing those words from Yuta made you smile brightly. He had put your hair in an elegant updo. The dress Sicheng had gotten you was a really dark blue colour, with a lace top and a skirt that fell a little wider. You had kept your make up neutral, the only thing really standing out was the glittery golden eyeliner that matched your golden jewellery. “I forgot the clutch downstairs.” Yuta mumbled, shuffling over towards the door. “Get your shit together and do what you have to do, bunny. I don’t think I can stand another day of you being a wimp.” He called before the door felt shut behind him. Confused you stared at it for a few seconds before turning to Doyoung with a questioning look on your face. What the hell was Yuta up to? “I…I got something for you.” Doyoung got up from his seat, holding something dark in his hands. “You know, normally you get someone flowers before a ball, not a gun and a holster.” You pointed out, once you realized what he was holding. “I know.” A slight smirk found it’s way onto his lips. “But when something happens tonight I thought this would be more useful than a bouquet.” He kneeled down in front of you, pointing at the hem of your long dress. “Can I? This thing goes around your thigh…” You nodded, helping him lift your dress so he could put it around your leg. Doyoung’s fingers were warm against your skin. You watched him closing the fastener of the strap, while holding the dress up for him. Once he was done, he kept kneeling while lifting his head, meeting your eyes with his. “Please be careful.” He whispered. “I know you are probably going to dance with one of them, but please don’t leave the room with them. And stay close to the others.” You nodded, letting go of your dress when he rose to his feet again. His hands came in touch with your waist, pulling you into a hug. “Come back to me tonight.” His breath brushed your ear while he mumbled that into it. It sent a little shiver down your spine. The good kind of shiver. “I don’t know what I’m going to do, if something happens to you, but I promise you, it won’t be good. So please come back to me tonight.” Doyoung sounded desperate. But for once you weren’t afraid of him. Standing here, being held by him did make you feel safe. Safer than you had felt for a long time now. “I’ll try.” You responded while simultaneously nodding against his shoulder. Doyoungs hand came up to cup your chin and lift it gently so he could look you into the eyes. You had felt nervous the whole time – Yuta had taken your mind off of that while doing your hair – but now that feeling increased. Doyoung had that kind of intense stare that made you feel smaller and weaker than you actually were. For once it didn’t scare you, but it made you feel a little uncomfortable. “Don’t just try it. Do it.” His nose brushed against yours, as he leaned closer. He waited a second, as if he wanted to make sure he had your consent, before his lips softly pushed against yours. Doyoungs lips were warm, a little chapped but still soft, as they slowly moved against yours. It wasn’t like one of those desperate movie kisses, more like a sweet moment, that held a lot of gentleness. Both of his hands held your neck carefully, while yours held onto the dark jacket he was wearing. You enjoyed this. A lot more than you would’ve thought. It was different from what you would’ve thought kissing Doyoung would be like. And different from any other kiss you had gotten before. The type of kiss you would’ve whished your first one to be. “Yoo, I’m back with the… Oh, thank the heavens finally.” Yuta, in true Nakamoto Yuta fashion, had to ruin it. But unlike you, Doyoung didn’t really let it bother him. He pulled back a little but left a peck on your nose before letting go of you and stepping away so the intruder could hand you the clutch he had picked up downstairs. “See you later.” Doyoung sent a confident wink towards you, before you left the room, walking downstairs were Taeyong was waiting for you. The desperate mood from just seconds ago seemed to be gone. Or maybe he just hid it because Yuta was there now. Your leader was wearing a dark grey suit, white dress shirt and a matching grey tie. An equally elegantly dressed Jaemin was standing next to him, grinning when he saw you. “You look stunning.” Taeyong reached his hand out, to help you down the last few steps of the stairs. “Johnny modified both your earrings and one of the bangles on your right wrist. They send a GPS signal to Donghyuk.” You nodded. You had already expected this sort of preparations. And you were glad they had thought of all of this. These two things and the gun Doyoung had given you made you feel a lot more secure. None of you could wear an earpiece tonight, which made the whole situation riskier than a normal operation was. “If you press the white diamond on that bangle, Jaehyun will come and pick you up, the grey one means, you’re in danger and it sends a message to all of us. Jisung is having an eye on your signal for the whole night and Sicheng and Jungwoo are watching out for you at the ball.” He continued while leading you towards the garage with Jaemin trailing behind you. “I will try and stay as close to you as possible but I will need to leave you for a while so they will approach you. Do you remember how they look like?” A nod. You had memorized each and everyone of them, especially Suga. He was the main target for the night. Even though Taeil, while changing your bandage, had said he would totally understand it if you would kick the others asses too. “Here we go.” Jaemin opened the passenger door of Taeyongs black Porsche for you. “Jeno and I wanted to take the Bentley but someone said that we are there as orphans and that the choice of car is kind of unrealistic. So, we’re taking the subway.” You felt pretty bad for Jaemin. Taeyong had extremely amazing cars and getting a chance to drive one was rare. You understood why they were hoping to be able to finally do so but if they were supposed to be orphans that benefited form the donations Taeyongs father made it was really unrealistic to have them arrive with a Bentley. “Good luck.” You hugged the younger before getting in. He grinned, closing the door behind you. Taeyong was already sitting in the driver’s seat. “Don’t worry too much.” Your leader spoke while driving out of the garage. “I had to promise Doyoung I would do everything to make sure none of them are able to even rip out one of your hairs and I’m scared enough to rather risk my life and take on EXO and Bangtan then being faced with that angry bunny face again. He was ready to burn down the entire city when Yuta told us you had been shot.” You knew you weren’t the only one that was intimidated whenever Doyoung got angry – besides Donghyuk, Lucas, Jaehyun, Chenle, Ten and Jisung all the youngers were intimidated by him – but you didn’t think the older members of your gang were too. And the summarization of Doyoungs reaction he just gave was scary. “He threatened you?” You asked a little surprised. “More like everyone. Has he finally gotten his shit together?” Taeyong pulled onto the main road that would led you straight towards the parts of the city were Taeyong grew up. The parts where the rich kids grew up. “What do you mean?” “The two of you are pretty fun to watch.” Taeyong grinned. “Doyoung wants to flirt with you but has no clue how to do that and you are completely oblivious to all of his attempts.” This surprised you a little. You had seen Doyoung flirting before. He knew what he was doing and to hear that he didn’t know how to flirt with you actually shocked you. Just like the fact that he had been trying to do so at all. All though: After that kiss he gave you it shouldn’t be much of a shock anymore. “How long?” You asked. Taeyong stopped in front of a red light. “Honestly? I think since the day we found you an Jungwoo.” Your eyes widened a little. They had gotten the two of you out of that mess when Jungwoo and you were sixteen. Four years ago. “To be fair, the first two years he didn’t do anything because he was already an adult and you were underaged and he thought you and Jungwoo were a couple because you always shared a bed but later it just got a little weird. He sorts of switched between ‘I’m not good enough and she should date someone like Jungwoo’ and ‘I want to kill every guy who talks to her’ a lot.” The light switched to green and Taeyong continued driving towards his own home. Or old home since he had moved into the old hotel with the rest of you. “He kissed me earlier.” A surprised noise left Taeyongs mouth when you said this. “Oh, he did? Finally. Took him long enough.” The skyscrapers besides the roads started getting smaller, meaning that the mansions would come up soon. And that means it wouldn’t take long until you would arrive at Taeyongs home. “Was he really ready to burn down the city when he found out I got shot?” You were curious. You knew that Doyoung was protective of the whole group, you had witnessed it when the plan of ‘shooting’ Jaehyun was made and when you were talking about how you would get Mark out of EXO. But till now it had never gotten to the point where he wanted to take revenge immediately without thinking everything through. “Maybe not literally, but I don’t think he will give Suga an easy treatment later tonight.” Your leader sounded really serious while talking. “Can you look out for him? When you have him in the hideout? I don’t want him to do something he could regret later.” Technically he could regret everything later. If the police ever decided to actually do something about the gangs you would been in trouble. Or if someone came that would stop the corruption in this city. “I will try.” The first mansions started to appear. You had seen Taeyongs house before. From the outside, not from the inside. He was from one of these ‘have been rich for generations’ families and the house he was born and raised in showcased that. Why he became the leader of a gang were everyone else (besides Mark and Johnny) came from a poor family or an orphanage was a mystery to you. But if it hadn’t been for Taeyong your chances of ever making it out of those parts of the city were pretty low. He had saved all of you in a way. “Don’t worry to much.” Another smile on his behalf. “I don’t think anything will happen to you. They don’t know that you’re with us and Suho has this rule. Even though he talks to rival gang members partners to get some information, he won’t harm them. He likes to think of himself as a man of honour. And I don’t believe he would work with Bangtan if they wouldn’t follow that rule. Dance with them, talk a little and if Suga comes up to you pretend like you need some fresh air. He will follow you. And from there on, we’ve got this, okay?” It helped hearing him repeat what you had to do tonight. It wasn’t even that scary or risky of a thing to do. If you were trying to get any other person. However, this was Bangtan and EXO. And you had heard the stories about them. You were honestly surprised that EXO had a rule like this. It calmed you down a little. Unless they wouldn’t find out you were actually part of the gang you were safe. “I’ve got this.” You smiled. A little forced but still with confidence. You had been scared for a long time now, when you didn’t really have to be. You weren’t that scared little child you used to be anymore. And you also weren’t alone anymore. There was no real reason to be scared. They all knew what they were doing and your rivals couldn’t really do something in public. The hideout was safe and really tricky to get to if you didn’t know the exact way to take. Which meant that Mark, Johnny, Doyoung and Taeyong would be safe. “I know you do.” Your leader smiled while pulling onto his own driveway. The mansion and the garden around it were lid up prettily. The fairy lights in the trees gave everything a magical kind of feeling and the decorations that they had chosen were beautiful. Taeyong drove until he was in front of the house. As soon as he stopped, two young men walked over to his car and opened the doors for you, the one on your side holding his hand out, so he could help you get out of the vehicle. You smiled, taking the offer and thanked him, once you were standing. Taeyong was already waiting for you, holding is arm out, so you could hold onto him with your hand while you started walking into the building. “You grew up in here?” You asked, a little shocked, as soon as you saw the inside. You knew he was rich, even though he never really showed it or talked about it but this was filthy rich. No wonder he could’ve just ‘start’ his own gang and take in eighteen people who had little to nothing without ever asking for anything in return. “Pretty much.” He answered. “But trust me, it’s not as amazing as you think it is. Takes hours to find someone and you always feel lonely in here.” You saw how he looked around him a little sad. He had once told that he had siblings but in here you probably still felt lonely most of the time. “Lee Taeyong! I can’t believe you lied to me!” A female voice screeched and the next second you were pulled into a hug. “You said she was beautiful, not that she was stunning!” The woman let go of you to take a step back and look you up and down. This had to be Taeyongs mother. Or at least a relative since she had the same eyes and nose as Taeyong. “Mom!” Your date for the night whined. “[y.n], these are my parents.” He pointed at the woman in front of you and a man that stood a few feet behind her. You recognized him. Obviously. He was the mayor after all. “We are so happy to meet you, darling.” His mother smiled brightly. “Taeyong talked really highly of you.” Surprised you turned to a smiley Taeyong. What did he tell his parents? Probably not that you were able to hit a target almost 95% of the time. Or that you actually managed to kick Jung Jaehyun’s ass two weeks ago (at least before that giant caught himself and ended up throwing you over the shoulder and winning your fight over the last pudding – which had been the reason for the fight in the first place). So, you really had no clue what he had said about you. “Thank you.” You spoke softly. “I’m delighted to meet you too.” His parents beamed at you. Whatever Taeyong had told them judging by their behaviour towards you it had to be really good. “Show your girlfriend around.” His father ordered gently. “We will greet some guests and then talk to you later, alright?” Both of you nodded and Taeyong took your hand to loop it around his arm again, guiding you further into the house. “Jeon Jungkook has discovered us.” He whispered into your ear. “Don’t look over to him, giggle a little and pretend like I’m saying something funny or embarrassing.” You followed his request, lifting your mouth to hide the little giggle that left your mouth. “What did you tell your parents about me?” You were curious. Taeyong thought a little, before answering. “A bit of truth, mixed with some things I made up.” He spoke. “I told them about your absolute failures of parents, not the whole story though and that you want to help children who had to make the same experience as you did to get a better life. And that I met you, while you were handing out flyers for a charity organisation that helps said children and couldn’t help but fall for you.” Well that meeting was far from the truth. Jungwoo and you actually met Taeyong when you were trying to steal his purse, not knowing that the rich boy was pretty aware of your plan and that Johnny was behind you, waiting until you tried making a move, grabbing Jungwoo, while you were caught by Taeyong. Both of you had expected them to drag you to the police, but instead Taeyong brought you to a restaurant nearby, watching you eat before proposing you should join his group and live with them. But that wasn’t a story you could tell a parent. “Sounds cute.” You grinned. It really did. Besides the parent-story. You could assure that nothing about that hell had been cute. Or positive in any way. “Champagne?” A waitress with a tray of champagne flutes stopped in front of you, holding it out, so both of you take one before shuffling away again. Taeyong continued showing you around a bit, pointing out some things that he liked in his home and sharing a few childhood memories. His demeanour was a little different from the usual calculating gang leader or the guy who fooled around with his friends when there was nothing that had to be done. Even if you would never see him this way you understood why people would fall for him. He was politely chatting with everyone who approached the two of you, introducing you as his girlfriend to them but never saying anything that could be personal. He was a gentleman throughout the entire time, soft spoken and careful. If you didn’t know what he was doing in his ‘free time’ you would have never guessed who he really was. Every now and then you saw one of the other guys, who had arrived individually (except for Jaemin and Jeno who ‘played’ friends from an orphanage) and were keeping an eye on everything while blending in with the crowd. The two of you danced for a while, he had taught you how to about two years ago, talking about random things, before a soft-spoken male voice interrupted you: “Mr. Lee.” Suho. The infamous leader of EXO. Dressed in a black three-piece suit and smiling brightly. Apparently, he and Taeyong knew each other. “Mr. Kim.” Taeyong wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling your body into his side gently. “A pleasure to see you here.” You saw how the expression in his eyes switched from that warm, smiley glitter to a cold one. His body tensed up a little. This had to be the moment where the two of you would separate. “Oh, I’m delighted to.” Suho showed a slightly smug expression. “I was wondering if we could talk for a little while. My company would like to make a donation to your father’s foundation but sadly I can’t seem to find him.” “Are you okay, if I leave you alone for a bit, baby?” Taeyong looked at you, and you nodded. He raised one eyebrow, making you nod again. You could see both Yuta and Lucas close to where you were standing and didn’t worry to much. Taeyong smiled, before pressing a kiss to your temple. “Oh, don’t worry, Jungkook over here can keep your girlfriend company.” Suho waved a tall, buff young man over. Jeon Jungkook. The motorbike driver you had missed eight weeks ago. And the youngest member of their gang. Taeyong seemed equally as excited but he and you knew he had to let you go. Jungkooks expression was unreadable as he held his hand out to you. “Would you like to dance?” He asked, while the two leaders left you behind. You nodded, taking his hands. Jungkook lead you onto the dancefloor. His hand felt heavy on your waist. It was hard not showing how uncomfortable and nervous you were. You could blame a bit of awkwardness on you not knowing him but not everything. If you wanted to make them believe that you were a civilian you had to behave like you had no clue who he really was. “My name is Jeon Jungkook.” He introduced himself while leading you through the waltz. His voice was smooth and he had put on a kind of flirty expression. You had suspected they would try it with something like this. You had done it before too. “[y.n]” You responded. “A beautiful name for someone like you. I can see why Taeyong would fall for you.” He pulled you a little closer towards himself. “He is a bastard, but one with a good taste.” You had to restrain yourself from kicking him in the groin. No one was ever allowed to insult your friends in front of you. But you couldn’t do something this extreme. However, you could harshly free yourself from his grip and step back, since he just called your ‘boyfriend’ a bastard. And what kind of girlfriend would you be if you didn’t. “I don’t think I want to spend anymore time with you, Mr. Jeon.” You spoke, glaring at him a little. His eyes widened a bit, before you saw the realization in them. You stepped back another step, getting ready to leave him, but you didn’t get that far. With one fast step he had caught up to you, wrapping his big hand around your wrist and pulling you back to him. You stumbled a little on your heels, not prepared for the harsh movement. “I apologize, if I insulted you, [y.n].” He apologized. But you decided you wouldn’t accept it. “You didn’t insult me. You insulted Taeyong.” His eyes got a little darker when you corrected him. It didn’t excite him too much to hear that. But you weren’t afraid. He could hardly do something while you were in a giant room full of people and you were carrying a gun. Also, if you managed to get Jaehyun and Sicheng off of you, you would probably be able to knock him out long enough to get away from you. “Jungkookie, what are you doing?” A deep, scratchy voice that belonged to a pale black-haired man. Suga. “I thought you knew how to behave towards a lady.” He shook his head disappointed, staring at the younger with an intensity that made it clear that he was higher ranked than the young man who was currently holding onto your wrist with a death grip. “I am deeply sorry for his behaviour. He is not used to not getting his ways.” Suga turned his face towards you. “Let go of her. Now!” Jungkook followed suit, grumbling something while disappearing into the mass of people. He looked tense, which supported the claim that he wasn’t used to not getting his way. It made you wonder how he reacted after you destroyed his bike eight weeks ago. And whether or not he was seeking revenge. “Again, I apologize, Miss…?” He looked at you a little questioning, resuming in you telling him your first name. You had decided to go by your real name. It was easier anyway. Chances were that they would run a background check on you and creating a fake identity always came with a bunch of risks. Your real name however… a police file regarding your parents abusing you between ages six and thirteen, including the court files on that and a file at the orphanage you had been living in after they took you away from your family. School files till graduation (Taeyong insisted that everyone under his commando graduated properly) and one from the Psychologist you had to visit during the court case. They even went as far as renting a small apartment under your name. The only thing fake was your enrolment at the cities university. “Would you like to get a drink, to get your mind off of this unpleasant encounter?” Suga suggested and you nodded. “Thank you very much, Mr. …?” “Min. It’s Min Yoongi.” Over his shoulder you saw Jaemin and Jeno not letting their eyes leave him and you had a feeling that the other guys were doing the same. You had done the first step to completing tonight’s mission. Now you had to keep him around and somehow get him to a less crowded place. Suga took to full champagne flutes from the next tray that crossed your way, handing one over to you. A smile formed on your lips and you thanked him. “I would like to get some fresh air would you mind accompanying me?” You pulled out your best helpless-girl-act in order to get him to follow the request. “I am still slightly afraid that he will try something when I’m alone.” “I understand.” He nodded. “Also, I think I need a cigarette.” You smiled happily. He had to think it was because you wouldn’t have to go out alone when Jeon Jungkook was still around but in reality, it was, because everything was working according to plan. And way faster than you would’ve expected. It made you a bit warry. You didn’t believe it could be this easy. Where they really this confident that they just believed you were harmless or that they could easily take you on. Unlike Taeyong earlier, Suga didn’t offer you his arm to hold on while you walked towards the doors that led outside. You were a little glad he didn’t. You didn’t really feel the need to be close to him. Not after being shot by him. Who knew what else he could do. “So, how did you meet your boyfriend?” He asked. You put on an even bigger smile as if you were reliving a happy memory. In a way you did. You were lucky that you had met them. And the story Taeyong came up with for his parents was cute. “I was handing out flyers for an organisation that helps children in abused families and we kind of ran into each other. I dropped the whole pack of papers onto the floor because of the impact. He felt so bad about it and kept excusing for ten minutes, while helping me pick them up.” To be fair it sounded like something Taeyong would do. “Sounds like a cute story.” He showed you a smile. “Mr. Min?” You decided to further expand the not-knowing-girlfriend-act. “Mr. Jeon called Taeyong a bastard. Do you know why?” It also might have been for fun. You wanted to see what the older would come up with to explain it. “Personal differences. They are both club owners, so there is obviously a rivalry. And they are also both quite attractive and aware of that. A disastrous combination if you ask me. The fact that they are both from rich families and were often compared to each other doesn’t really help. But don’t think about it to much. Jungkook may be a little hot headed from time to time but they rarely see each other. And even if, the kid is not that stupid to actually do something, other than calling your boyfriend some names.” You nodded, still playing the unaware girlfriend. By now Suga and you had reached the large balcony that opened up to the beautiful, gigantic garden. There is no one here besides the two of you making you sing a little happy song inside of your head. “Thank you, Mr. Min.” You turn your head to smile at him, seeing Jungwoo and Lucas creep out from behind him. The next second the taller one out of them hits Suga with his elbow onto the back of his neck and the sniper you had been talking to for the last few minutes falls to the floor. Unconscious. The glass he was holding previously is now shattered into little pieces on the stone floor.

Breath in. And out. In again. And then out. It was like a mantra you mumbled to yourself again and again while you were laying on your tummy on this roof. Your gaze through the telescope of your sniper rifle was focused on the street in front of the seven-story building. In a few seconds Taeyong would pass by down on this street, tailed by one member of a group that was willing to do everything to ensure their position as the ruling gang in this city. Including taking down the leader of yours, who also happened to be the mayor’s son. And the fact that he was the mayor’s offspring alone made him a wanted target for rivalry gangs. The fact that led his own another one. The combination made it even worse.
“Pass by in one.” A voice rang through the radio set in your ear. Doyoung. The second in command. Although sometimes it seemed as if he was the leader. In his mind he probably was. At least when it came to ordering everyone around. You didn’t respond. For different reasons. One being that you were too lazy to do so. They already knew you were up here and you honestly didn’t really think you would need to say more. Also, this wasn’t your first time camping out preparing to shoot someone. And you knew that it would annoy all of them if you didn’t answer. The information was right. Exactly one minute later Taeyong passed by on a motorbike. And not even forty-five seconds later a second bike that you hadn’t seen before. A bike that had the mark of Bangtan on it. So, it had to be one of them. No surprise to you. Just last year they had merged with EXO, another gang in this city to enhance their influence. And while Exo took care of business related stuff and everything else that Johnny would describe as incredibly boring, Bangtan was pretty much in charge of everything that was considered ‘fun’ by the second oldest in your group. And from what you have heard they were a little too excited about these things for your liking. “Permission to shot?” You asked, still aiming at the motorbike. “Positive.” Doyoung answered. A slight grin spread on your lips as you prepared to pull the trigger only to be replaced by a pained one not even a second later. Your leg was hurting like hell as if something hard just hit it. A moan of pain escaped your lips. “[y.n]? What is going on?” This was Taeyong. Who wasn’t even supposed to speak. You whimpered a little before focusing on your target again. The black clad driver was almost at the next turn now which didn’t exactly give you much time to aim before you shot. And only hit the tire of his bike instead of the driver. You groaned before quickly getting up, which caused another rush of pain to shot up your upper leg and another whimper to fall from your mouth. “[y.n]?” Doyoung sounded mad this time. “I’ll give you ten seconds to finally answer before I’ll come over there to see what is going on.” You answered while taking your riffle apart. “I hit the tire. I think he crashed into a wall afterwards.” As soon as the gun was in the bag you brought you examined your leg and found a bullet wound. Which meant there was someone on another roof who could shot any other moment. You had to get out of here. “You think? What does that mean?” Doyoung was definitely pissed. “He is not behind me anymore.” Taeyong sounded way calmer than his second in command. “She said she hit his tire, there is no way he can still drive if she did.” While the leader was trying to calm Doyoung down a little while you were busy, ripping a part of your shirt of to tie it around your leg and over the bullet wound. It had to work until you would get back to the headquarters. As fast as you could you started making your way over to the staircase that would lead you down to where you had parked your bike. The whole time you were hoping, that the other person wouldn’t shot you again. Or that Doyoung wouldn’t come. You were lucky. No second bullet came your way and you entered the staircase. You were forced to slow down on your way downstairs. Your leg hurt like hell every time you shifted or moved and it was hard to take these stairs. A few tears formed in your eyes caused by the burning feeling that shot up your leg with every step you took. You didn’t want to cry, but you couldn’t hold those tears back from spilling. Once you had successfully made it down the stairs the next challenge was awaiting. Getting on your own bike and hopefully make it home without being stopped by anyone or fainting. Of course, you could just ask for someone to get you but you had a feeling that Taeyong would freak out as soon as you asked and that Doyoung would be the one who would come pick you up. And if there were things you wanted to avoid right now it were a nagging Doyoung and Taeyong shrieking into your ear. That’s why you wanted to do this on your own. Plus, you were kind of to scared to face either one of them right now. “I’m on my way back now.” You mumbled into the microphone, after managing to climb onto your bike and putting on your helmet. You knew that you would have to take four turns more to the left than you usually wood, just to make sure that no one was following you, which caused a rush of cold sweat all over your body. You grew up in this kind of violent and insecure environment, you should be used to dangerous situations and yet you had never been in a deadly serious situation like today. “Did you get a coffee on your way downstairs? Speed up and get your ass back home.” Doyoung. Friendly as always. But you decided to ignore the harsh remark and started driving back home. A cruel ride. Driving a circle to figure out whether or not the shooter had followed revealed that no one did so. You were both glad and angry at the same time. Glad because it meant you wouldn’t have to figure out how to get rid of someone, but angry because your leg was still hurting and the pain seemed to increase with every minute. By now it had bled through your improvised bandage and you started feeling a little dizzy. A relieved sigh escaped your mouth once the former hotel that was your headquarter finally came in sight. You had made it home. Somehow you had made it home. Yuta and Sicheng were in the garage as you pulled in, busy with fixing something on a bike that looked like the one Ten liked to use whenever he felt like taking part in a race. They both looked over to where you parked once you took your helmet of, their eyes widening in shook when they saw your leg. “Fuck, why didn’t you say anything?” Yuta rushed over to you while you were pulling down the bandana you used to cover the lower half of your face during missions like this one, followed by Sicheng. “When did that happen?” While he took the bag containing your riffle from your hands, Sicheng put one arm underneath your knees and the other one under your bag and lifted you of the ground. Your hands came to hold onto the tall boy’s shoulders. “Didn’t want to cause a panic.” You mumbled. “Happened right after I got permission to shot from Doyoung.” Yuta shook his head in disbelieve at your answer, while entering the lift. “Taeyong is going to be pissed once he finds out.” Sicheng didn’t look to excited. And Yuta nodded at that statement before adding a “I don’t think he will allow you to go on missions alone anymore.”. “I’m tired.” You just said what came to your head. The worried expressions on both of their faces increased. “Don’t fall asleep until Taeil has seen the wound.” Yuta pushed a piece of hair out of your face. “I’ll tell Taeyong and Doyoung. And don’t worry I’ll try to keep Doyoung from freaking out in front of you.” You smiled. Or tried to. You weren’t sure whether or not it worked. The lift dinged and the door opened again. “What the heck did you do?” Taeil asked. You heard steps coming closer. Probably the oldest member who was in charge of pretty much everything medical. “She got shot.” Yuta answered. “That’s pretty much everything we know.” A cold hand came in contact with your forehead while your friend explained what they knew. “Okay, put her on the table.” You heard Taeil order. And right after that Sicheng started walking again. A few steps, before he laid you down on a cold surface. You didn’t need to open your eyes to know where you were. It was pretty obvious. Gentle fingers took the piece of your shirt that you had tied around your leg of and shortly after came in contact with your leg. “The bullet is still stuck in her leg.” Tail mumbled. “I’m going to need to pull it out before we can take care of that wound. Can you hold her down?” Shuffling before a pair of hands came to hold down your shoulders. Just a second later another pair of hands grabbed your ankles. “This is going to hurt.” The medic probably wanted to be nice but once he started with the actual process you wanted to just get away from him and the gigantic pain he caused you to feel in your leg. It was beyond the pain you felt when the bullet hit your leg or the one you had to go through while climbing down those stairs. This felt like Taeil was trying to pull your leg apart. You fought against the iron grip those three had on your limbs but it was useless. All three of them were stronger than you and knew how they had to secure someone so the person they were holding down had no chance to escape them. Still you tried until you passed out from exhaustion, a comforting darkness lulled you in and made everything numb and peacefully quiet till you were gone.
---
This calm feeling was gone when you woke up. You heard multiple people arguing around you. Arguing to the point where someone sounded like he was about to start yelling. It sounded like Kun, which concerned you a bit since he normally wasn’t one to get angry really fast. Someone sat down next to you, cold fingers touching your forehead. “The fever is going down.” Jungwoo. Your best friend. The reason why you’ve became part of this. “Also, I think she is waking up.” The hand disappeared again right before you opened your eyes. They had brought you into your room. A whole bunch of people were standing in the room. Eighteen to be exact. All of them were here which made the room appear a lot smaller than it actually was. You had no clue why all of them were here. Or why they were arguing in your room. “Good, now she can finally explain how the hell this happened.” Doyoung stood across from your bed next to the window and stared at you with his arms crossed. He looked furious, which intimidated you way more than you would admit. You pushed your upper body up and scouted backwards so you could lean against the headboard of your bed. Your leg still hurt like shit but you knew it would be getting better over the next few weeks. “There’s not much to tell.” You mumbled, looking everywhere else but Doyoung. He scared you right now and looking at him would only make it worse. “Right after you gave permission to shot, the bullet hit my leg. I don’t know who or from where. But that’s the reason why I missed the driver who was following Taeyong.” “Don’t beat yourself up.” That was Taeyongs voice. “You couldn’t know and I don’t think a lot of us would’ve been able to still somewhat hit the target like you did. But if that ever happens again you are going to tell someone immediately. Someone could’ve picked you up. A lot of things could’ve happened when you were driving here.” He sounded really calm even though the expression in his eyes said something different. Unlike his second in command he wasn’t staring angrily. Taeyong looked worried. A far less intimidating sight than Doyoung to be honest. “You’ll be staying in bed for the next few weeks so your leg can heal again.” Taeil explained. “And move as little as possible. I’ll come and check on it twice a week and change the bandage.” You nodded. Not having to get up for a few weeks sounded like a nice thing but you knew that it would only take you like three days until you would hate it. “Any suggestions who might have shot her?” Jungwoo next to you asked. “The bike driver was a Bangtan member so it could’ve been one of them to.” You mumbled, leaning into your best friend, who immediately put his arm around your shoulders so you would be more comfortable. A sigh was heard from Taeyong. “Judged by the stature the biker who followed me was Jungkook.” He explained. “The thought that the shooter is somehow related to them is a possible one. But who could that be?” “EXO doesn’t have a sniper.” Mark stated. “Not since Luhan disappeared.” He had to know. Even though your leader hated the idea Mark had stayed with EXO for a few months, spying on them and leading them away from your group so they wouldn’t find out who your leader was. “And the only person in Bangtan who does this kind of job is Suga.” Jaehyun. Just like Mark he had stayed with a rival gang for a few months, befriending Jungkook before they had almost caught him and he had to pretend to be killed by Johnny. You cuddled a little more into Jungwoo while listening to them. “And now?” Doyoung asked. “We can’t just continue as if nothing happened. They shot one of us. If the bastard wouldn’t have missed she would be dead. Are we planning on letting it slide?” His voice was more of a growl. So, maybe he wasn’t angry with you. You almost sighed relieved. Not being the target of his anger was pretty soothingly. “No one plans on letting it slide.” Taeyong answered him. “But we will need to plan our revenge. Every single detail of it.” You looked around the room to see all eighteen of them nodding approvingly. They really seemed to be down with the whole revenge thing. It made you a little happy that they felt that way but it was also a bit scary. “And I already now the perfect occasion for it.” A weirdly happy grin spread on your leader’s face. Confused stares were shot towards him from all over the room. “When?” Lucas, who was standing next to Doyoung, asked. He had a similar expression to the older on his face. Just not as intimidating. “Fathers annual ball to collect donations for the orphanages.” Taeyong answered. “It’s coming up in two months. Enough time to plan everything and for [y.n] to recover.” Jungwoo had started rubbing your arms soothingly while all of you were listening to your leader. It was nice like this. “How can you know whether or not they are going to be there?” Johnny asked. A good question. You didn’t think they would be inviting gang members to a charity ball. It sounded a bit weird to you. But then again, your group was led by the mayor’s son which proved that there were a lot of things that were unusual in this city. “They hide their business as a company.” Taeyong explained. “A trading company to be exact. And to put it more precisely: As one of the top companies within the city. So, to answer your question: As of right now nine people out of their alliance are on the guest list. Suho, Sehun, Chen, Lay and Chanyeol from EXO and RM, J-Hope, Jungkook and Suga from Bangtan.” You knew that they hid their activities. So, did you. Taeyong owned a movie theater, two nightclubs and a hotel. And to the public that was who he was. They didn’t know he owned this building. Or that he paid the bills for this. And that he had way more money than they thought he owned. “So, you are telling us you want to take down Suga during a public gala?” Jaemin threw himself onto the bed next to your feet, making sure he wouldn’t land on your legs. “We did that before.” Ten shrugged his shoulders. “Well not for real but Bangtan thinks it was.” A grin spread in his face while thinking about it. Ten – unlike Johnny and Taeyong – had a lot of fun that night. “You guys ‘killed’ Jaehyun during a public event?” Renjuns eyes widened so much you were afraid they could pop out. “They did.” Jaehyun grumbled. “Had to let myself fall down six stores into the river in freaking April. And [y.n] and Jungwoo had to wait about an hour before they could pick me up because Bangtan was searching the river for the body.” You remembered that night. Jaehyun was soaked and shivering like crazy when you finally pulled him out of the water. The following couple of days he had stayed in front of the fireplace, only moving when he had to visit the bathroom. “All you need is a distraction that lures him into to a lonely place and we got him.” Jungwoo explained. “If you make sure that his mates don’t follow him it’s an easy task.” It sounded like one. But you were sure that none of them were stupid. They couldn’t be. You couldn’t become one of the top gangs in this city without being smart. It didn’t work like this. Taeyong looked like he was thinking about something while listening to your best friend. “[y.n] could be the distraction.” He suggested. “It is probably one of the oldest ways of distraction ever but it should work.” Surprised you looked up. Was he really thinking you were a good distraction? In which world was that supposed to be? “There is no way in hell she is going in there alone!” Doyoung was pissed now. If you thought he was intimidating before you obviously thought wrong. His glare was so angry you snuggled a little more into Jungwoo, hoping that it would help you calm down a little. “I never said she would be alone.” Taeyong argued back. At the same time Yuta mumbled: “Somebody is a little protective today.” Earning himself a glare from both Doyoung and Taeyong. “We’ve just had an entire argument whether or not [y.n] is still going on missions alone. Are we really going to start that again?” Lucas asked, rolling his eyes slightly. Multiple people in the room shot him a glare. Including Doyoung and Taeyong. Whatever had been going on while you were unconscious it apparently had been heated. “She shouldn’t be alone!” Doyoung was somewhere between concerned and angry right now. “She just got shot twenty-four hours ago, we can’t just get her in the next dangerous situation like it’s nothing. I thought we agreed on that.” “We had a whole argument before you woke up.” Jungwoo whispered into your ear. “Doyoung thinks you shouldn’t be out on missions alone anymore. Lucas, Kun, Taeil, Ten, Jaemin, Jeno, Renjun und Sicheng agreed with him. Taeyong told him that half of us had been shot before and that we never had that argument before. Yuta agreed, although I think he only did because he didn’t like being on the same page as Doyoung.” While your best friend explained to you what had happened between you passing out and now the others were busy discussing the whole idea of you going on a mission. And to be honest Doyoung sounded like he would like it best if you were never going on one ever again. And as if he and Yuta were about to rip each other’s throats out. “She won’t be alone! Damn it, Doyoung could you listen to me for a second?” Taeyong crossed his arms in front of his chest staring at the taller in front of him. The whole atmosphere in the room had been tense before, but now it felt like it was pressing everything down. “First of all, I’m there anyway and I was not planning on letting her go there without anyone. Second of all, I can get people on the guest list, which was also part of the plan.” “So, you planned on taking her as your date or what?” “Exactly.” A groan left Yuta’s mouth once Taeyong said that for an unknown reason. At least to you. “How is her distracting them going to work when she is your date for the night?” Jaemin asked. He had only been with your group for a year, same went for Jeno, Chenle, Renjun and Jisung. There were still a lot of things that they hadn’t been through, unlike the rest of you. “They know who Taeyong is. But besides Mark, Johnny and Jaehyun they don’t know anyone else out of us.” Kun explained. “As soon as they see Taeyong with a date said date will become of interest for them. They will try and find a way to get close so they can figure out the relationship and try to manipulate that person into telling them things about him.” “Which means they are out when it comes to who is going to go in there.” Yuta continued. “Especially Jaehyun. I don’t think it’s a good idea to blow his cover.” It confused you a bit that they were starting to plan a thing as dangerous as this in your bedroom. Right after you woke up. Taeil looked at you mouthing a: “You hungry?” With a questioning look and disappearing right after you nodded. You were thankful that someone was attentive enough to realize that you were in need for something to eat. “But Jaehyun and Johnny are the strongest out of us. We can’t just let them sit around in some room and direct everything.” A good point made by Jeno. Normally those were the two who tackled the more physical parts of missions. But under these circumstances it would be stupid and risky to let them walk in there. It would blow up everything as soon as Bangtan laid their eyes on them. Taeyong shook his head. “Donghyuk is going to monitor, like usually.” He said. “Lucas should be there. Also, Sicheng, Jungwoo, Jaemin, Jeno, Yuta and Ten. And as soon as [y.n] is fit enough, you should teach her a few combat technics.” He looked at Jaehyun and Sicheng during the last part. His choice of people to attend the ball seemed logical to you. Sicheng was probably the best out of all of you when it came to hand to hand combat. After Johnny and Jaehyun, Lucas was the third strongest in the group and also tall enough to find everyone easily even in a crowded room. Jungwoo was one of the best shooters and really amazing at memorizing things. And the other four were fast. Good climbers and fighters. “And what is the rest of us supposed to do?” Doyoung raised one eyebrow. “I want them to know as little people of us as possible.” Taeyong continued his explanation. “They already know Johnny and Mark, so I would like them to help me, get Suga into the Van and get him to the hideout as soon as we caught him. As soon as they figure out he is gone they are going to target [y.n], which means she has to leave as fast as possible. Jaehyun, you’ll be in charge of getting her away and home safely. Take a bike and change her cloths, so they won’t recognize you immediately. Taeil and Kun I need you in position just in case someone gets injured. Jisung, Renjun and Chenle are going to assist Donghyuk and keep up with the security cameras. Doyoung, you are going to prepare the hideout. Disguise yourself and don’t say a word once were there with that bastard.” Honestly you were impressed by Taeyong and his ability to come up with the structures for a revenge plan just like that. Doyoung still looked like there were a lot of things he didn’t like but even he couldn’t really snap anymore since the leader seemed to have everything sorted. “I could need some help getting the food up here since you seemed to have moved into [y.n]’s room.” Taeil had put his head through the door waiting for someone to follow his request.
Masterlist Part 2
listen i dont get why tall girls are never put in cute scenarios? you see girls being portraiyed as ‘small’, ‘petite’ and everytime theres the ‘height diffence’ between guys and girls - the guys being taller.
but you know what? wheres the tall girls? why cant we be put in sweet situations? why do i always have to read about the short main character but never about the tall main character? we are always portrayed as the weird sidekick who happens to make a lot of snarky comments and at least one male character is afraid of them. tall girls are mocked while growing up in schools because theyre taller than the boys. theyre called names and its not anything cute. we arent teased by our size. theres no teasing about us not reaching the top shelves. we are straight up offended sometimes because people mistake our height with our personality. we are expected to be sports players rather than supported on going for anything else.
tall girls can be sweet. tall girls can be cry babies and want attention and want to be the small spoon. sometimes we are taller than the boys and that doesnt make anything any less cute. portraying every single girl as a small, delicate flower brings other girls who dont fit the stereotype down.
❤❤❤ this feels so nice to read ❤ I'm 178cm (5ft 10) tall and those small girl tall boy fics are often absolutely adorable and I enjoy them, I really do. But it's a bit weird to read those fics with the tall girl as they are described if your the exact opposite of that most of the time.
Kind of lookes like a friendship themed movie with Mark as a soft, fluffy main, Donghyuk the alway realistic, mostly serious friend and Yuta as the mischievous (and maybe a little bit evil) one who always gets them in trouble and breaks into their bedrooms in the middle of the night because he just had ‘the best idea ever’ (or not if you ask the other two, but they’ll do it anyway). I still have to write about four and a half to five pages for my homework assignment for university till saturday and tha’s what I’m doing everyone... But expect a three partgang related Doyoung scenario soon (had to split it up, it’s fifteen pages so far and I’m not quite done yet...)
FML!
