I’m gonna be so real I get annoyed when people talk like Asher was a horrible parent after reading Onyx Storm when we have SUCH little information on the why for the dedication. Like, there’s clearly so much backstory that we don’t know yet when it comes to Asher and what he did on the isles and how it’s related to everything currently happening, and I’m actually excited to learn more about WHY he dedicated Violet rather than basing my opinions of him off the obviously not entirely correct face value reason given in the book of “fixing her”. There’s more to the story! Which is like, literally the whole theme of the series!

#big agree on this #it’s funny to have a little joke about it #and as a disabled person I get the immediate reaction to the idea that he was trying to fix her #but we genuinely know 1% of that story #just like we had no idea Lilith had Xaden protecting Violet #we will understand more as the story continues and then we can decide if we should hate him
