I don’t usually write rosekiller I’m usually writing wolfstar so their personalities are a little newer to me despite being in the fandom since 2022

language barrier wolfstar where remus only speaks english/welsh and sirius only speaks french.

they meet by complete accident on the streets of london while sirius is there on a school trip. sirius spots remus smoking outside a corner shop and, without knowing a single word of english, decides he’s going to bum a cigarette off him anyway. it takes an embarrassing amount of pointing, miming, fake smoking motions and increasingly dramatic hand gestures before remus finally figures out what this very animated french boy wants. he starts off trying not to laugh, but sirius looks so painfully determined to get his point across that remus caves and hands him a cigarette.

they end up standing there together for the next twenty minutes.

sirius talks the entire time in rapid-fire french, complaining about his teacher who only gave them thirty minutes of free time around carnaby street, about how impossible it is to keep up with his class, about london, about anything that comes to mind. he knows remus doesn’t understand a single sentence, but remus keeps nodding anyway, smiling whenever sirius gets especially dramatic with his hands, replying with the occasional “yeah?” like he’s somehow following along

neither of them understands the other, but somehow they’re still having a conversation.

eventually sirius’s classmates start calling for him from down the street. remus pats his pockets, finds a pen, gently takes sirius’s hand and writes his address across the back of it. then he taps the ink with his finger, mimes writing on paper, and points in the vague direction of france.

“send me a letter.”

sirius doesn’t understand the words but he understands everything else.

he spends the entire train ride back to france staring at the ink on his hand, terrified it’ll wash off before he gets home.

Can someone help me find this jegulus fic I read a couple years ago.. the mauraders were a band and had to do some work with regulus (I think for a movie??) and during the pr regulus and James end up falling in love. Regulus had liked James since he was young and provided a space for Sirius when Orion and Walburga died in a car crash. Sometime after jegulus got together James writes songs for reg and he wrote “ever since New York” (the Harry styles song). I also remember a scene where reg smokes weed for the first time before a press meeting if that helps 😭😭

my reread of pathological people please may or may not have only taken me a couple hours… I was scared to read it again because I have been struggling with my mental health but honestly it made me feel better. I assumed the references to suicide would bring back old feelings but seeing James and Barty going through the same emotions as me really helped. Associating my problems with characters who decided to seek help and get better made me want to get better as well. I know I won’t always feel this way and I am grateful I gave myself a second chance at life. I won’t always feel good but it’s about working through the bad moments to get yourself somewhere safe.

Here is the link to my new marauders fic!! It’s going to be pretty long so I’m not sure when it will be finished by. But it is wolfstar centric narrated by remus. It’s going to be a slowwww slowburn but trust the process I promise they end up together. the story starts when Remus is 11/12 so keep that in mind. He is a welsh foster kid with no idea who his parents are and a history of anger issues and sh. The prank will be integrated into the story however there is no war. My posting schedule might be a little strange in the beginning considering I’m on summer break but when I get back to school please be patient with me.
