Every spring for the past decade, we get visits from ruby-throated hummingbirds. We eventually started leaving out feeders for them to drink and perch from, and they seem to enjoy them!

Here, I managed to capture a photo of a female hummingbird taking a sip from one of our feeders while in mid hover. The photo was taken from a respectful distance using a Canon Rebel T7 and telephoto lens.

This is also the first time I’ve ever captured a clean, crisp, close-up photo of a hummingbird in mid hover!
