I went through my list of writing prompts today and accepted the fact that many will never get written. So I’m going to add them on here and if anyone wants them, you can have them. If not, at least the idea is left out there instead of rotting abandoned in my brain.
Vanya involved in plane crash on way to boarding school. She is presumed dead but she survived with several others, her powers were unleashed on the island - the relative isolation enabling her to train and get control of them - arrives back knowing what has happened. This came to me after seeing the Oceanic Six in Lost. I like the idea of a Sayid like character teaching Vanya some self-defence moves too just to surprise the other children. Opening written. Grace, for the first time in her life, had been enabled to leave the property to take them to the airstrip. Allison was with her, in case any rumours were necessary. Five was there out of sheer perseverance. Reginald hadn’t wanted him to go and only relented after Pogo also began to plead on his behalf.
At least the old man had the sense to stay at home instead of attempting to accompany them. He’d already been put into an awkward position with the reveal of Vanya’s existence; he knew it would only look worse if he failed to put up a convincing enough act that he was relieved about her safe return. Grace could act in the more believable role of relived mother.
Abhijat drove them, Grace in the passenger seat and the children in the back. Allison attempted to make conversation with Five on the journey but he remained silently fixated on the view beyond his window – constantly looking for the signs which would indicate how close they were getting to their destination. Four months he had been waiting for this. Three and a half months it had been a delusion but now it was a reality. His best friend was alive and she was really coming home. He didn’t know what state she would be in, from what they had seen of the rescue it looked like she was in fair health although it must have been a traumatic ordeal.
She was coming home though. Reginald couldn’t try to send her away again, not now the world knew he’d really adopted seven children instead of six.
Vanya goes to high school and becomes inadvertently popular. Maybe joins a sport club/cheerleading since she’s never been allowed to by physically active before. Theatre group too, originally as a musician but she’s so used to schooling her emotions she ends up acting. She becomes popular, she has no idea how, but she starts to enjoy it. She ends up in this weird dual life, popular at school, invisible at home. Her friends want to visit but she knows they can’t. Five asks about school - she knows he hates that they’re separated so she pretends to hate it too. Eventually he comes over, planning for them to sneak off. More notes available.
The Umbrella Academy are kidnapped by a super villain. The police can’t rescue them, so Reginald takes Vanya off her medication. She scares her siblings shit less and kills everyone involved in the process.

Timeline confusion. Future Five arrives, been separated from Vanya and is very affectionate. Current Five is both confused and jealous (of himself). Vanya’s confused but thrilled. Inspired by the TNG episode Second Chances.

Sick of Five lording secrets over her, Allison rumours him into telling the truth. Cue him spurting out every unfiltered thought. Can end up as fluffy or nsfw as you like.
That’s all of them that aren’t connected to my Then & Now series (five future instalments planned) or 4 ongoing stories. And two crossovers that are planned, one in collaboration with another writer. My first collaboration if we can get around to it. Not to mention my originals which I should really focus on. And the Dr Who story I’m writing. Yikes. Send help.
