Killer Croc promising to look out for Olive is so sweet and kind of heartbreaking. Sybil couldn’t trust Gotham’s hero to protect her daughter, so she turned to one of its most notorious villains instead. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

“For the first time in a long time… I feel whole.”

Batman: I will put Olive someplace safe so that she doesn't become Calamity
Batman: Oh but I'm going to let Hugo Strange be her therapist...that can't end badly...right?
Olive Silverlock: And now for this bitch who had a lot to say about my mom in the press the other day...Batman, what's good?

Aw… this Killer Croc is a big lug. I kinda like it.
So it looks like Arkham Manor goes first since it just blew up in this week’s issue, and then followed immediately by Gotham Academy
Heeey… Olive’s mom’s hair is silver in Arkham Manor and she looks far older. I wonder where this is taken.
…
Sorry I’m just trying to comprehend that the most kid friendly book in the Bat Family is a direct tie in to one of the most mature one. Well, technically it’s teen, not kids, but it’s still my go to book to give to the young'uns because of the art.
Gotham Academy Vol. 1 #5 The One with Adorable Croc
Olive is the biggest G in Gotham
In a city filled to the brim with vigilantes and murderous criminals, a high school girl is the one that does not give a fuck.
When grown ass hardened criminals see the Batman approaching in the sky like that, they get scared. They panic. They frantically fiddle with their gun or maybe drop the shit. Olive ain’t about that life, son.
She didn’t even panic. There was no pause. No gloating. No hesitation. She whipped out that crossbow in a manner that would make the Huntress jealous. She does not fuck around.
She capped the fool, Bats, with the quickness. She knew who she was shooting at(or who she thought she was shooting at) and came at that shit like she dreamed of the moment to put a cap in Batman’s ass. Like, she jumped at that shit. She made the League of Assassin’s look like a bunch of rank amateurs. She made the Joker look like h should belong in the circus. Batman thought he could just flyover the hood and it would be cool. My girl Olive brought the hood to Bruce. The side of Gotham that Joker don’t even fuck around in.
PS: I am well aware that she didn’t actually shoot Bruce, but you can’t say that it wasn’t impressive.

It was Calamity. She… She saved me.

“Assembly’s gonna start any minute. Maybe we can skip it and check out the creepy parts of the school instead. If you want.”
“Is this what my future holds?”
