A little experiment

Hello!! So as of my last post I finally have each aspect of the game planned out and I’m onto drawing sprites and assets. I wanted to start out with the sprites and colours for the custom cats because this is a large part of the game, however, this is taking longer than I originally anticipated due to the fact that I’m not too familiar with drawing cats. So, I currently have placeholder sprites so this won’t take away from the time I wanted to spend on the actual gameplay.

I still wanted to share at least an idea of what kind of things to expect in the customiser, so I have drawn up the colours and markings I plan to use. I also intend to add more specific breeds as well, but that would be a quite lengthy process so for now I’m keeping it very basic.

The exact colours that I’ve picked out aren’t final, and I plan to do more research to make them as accurate as I possibly can. I also want to add that in addition to these colours and markings there will also be options to add white to areas of the cats as well.

I believe this is all for now. Hopefully in my next post I can go over more of the gameplay. However, school has started back again so updates may be slow.

Warriors game?

Hey there! I'm new to tumblr so excuse my not knowing what's going on. Basically, I've had the idea for a warriors inspired game for a while but never had the motivation to go anywhere with it.... until now!!

I'm here to pretty much share my development and also gain feedback from others. So think of this blog more of a devlog! :)

Anyway, here are some of my ideas into what you can expect to see in this game. Feel free to give me any suggestions and feedback on these as well! Firstly, the main idea is building up your clan and organising and performing day-to-day activities, such as hunting, patrols, interactions with clan members and maintaining relationships with other clans. This will be done through a variety of different gameplay aspects such as; fully customisable cats (looks, names, personalities and clan roles), multiple clans in one save (clans can interact with one another in, gatherings, alliances, and wars), story options (these interactions would mainly be between same clan relations, such as exiling and "deleting"), the ability to call clan meetings, moon cycles and events, and individual stats (like strength, speed, etc) that can be improved upon.

I also have smaller ideas and ideas that I'm not even sure would work for a game, so I'll keep them ones to myself for now. But, yeah, I hope this sounds interesting enough because I already know this is going to take up all of my free time....
