Something pretty important that I feel should be reiterated and known!!!

Lately there’ve been a few instances where I’ve seen some out of the ordinary or uncomfortable posts and questions on the TMBGareok blog, and I want to make sure none of that ends up on here. The last thing I want is for anyone to be uncomfortable in a space that’s supposed to be safe and fun.

Mr Flansburgh is active on Instagram, Twitter/X, Bluesky, Tumblr, you name it, so he could stumble upon anything anyone posts that’s TMBG related. So if you’re posting anything about TMBG or submitting something to the TMBGareok blog and you feel as though Flansburgh and/or other folks might be uncomfortable with it, just don’t post it!

The main thing I wanted to note, and this doesn’t just apply to the Johns, the Dans, Marty or the Horns, but all musicians, especially famous ones, are ALL real, human people, just like you and me.

With that aside, I hope this blog and the TMBGareok can continue to be peaceful, drama-free spaces! I’ll continue to post daily as usual, thanks so much for all the support and I hope the daily images and videos make someone smile!!! You can submit images and questions here too!

i second this - remember that the johns are not obligated to allow us fans access to them through tumblr asks/submissions. it’s awesome that they’ve given us a way to ask them questions about the band and their music, as well as to submit fanart and things of that nature, but submitting shit like the deltarune post (that even aside from the gross incestuous content is only vaguely related to TMBG through the inclusion of the “she’s an angel” lyrics) is an abuse of that privilege.

i don’t do much work with distillation these days, but MAN was it important during undergrad (especially separations and unit operations). also i was taught very early on to NEVER use the ideal gas law for water vapor, though i usually just used pages-long steam tables with tons of derived properties listed at different temperatures and pressures.

i tried my hand at something i’ve wanted to do for a while now and redrew a TMBG photo as my ocs oliver and svet!! linnell and flans remind me of these two quite heavily in terms of personality, and since both TMBG and my ocs occupy my mind a good 90-95% of the time, i figured why not combine the two?

i’ll likely be doing more TMBG photo redraws with them, this was very fun to do. plus i watched live performances from youtube while i drew this so… extra excuse to skew my yt algorithm towards even more TMBG vids… yay :)
