Ichigo feels rather alienated from humanity since becoming a mew mew. Despite how she may act or say -- what she hides is an overwhelming fear that she may be more alien than human. While this is something she keeps to herself -- Kisshu knows this all too well and decides to use it to justify why joining him would benefit her more than if she chose to continue in the protection of humanity. This attempt hits Ichigo hard -- adding to the emotion that later revealed the Mew Aqua atop the Christmas Tree in Tokyo.

while I’m not necessarily a huge fan of the reboot ( I’m biased — sue me ). but I DO enjoy that Kisshu is actually scary in it. the og anime did a good job with Kisshu, but the reboot is actually making him feel like a much bigger threat than the original managed to do. it’s great. excited to see pai and tart too.

to note. ever since the creation of this blog it is assumed my ichigo is post-manga/anime. despite this, she still has the ability to transform as her dna has become an essential part of her. rather than her abilities disappear with time ( as suggested by ryou ) -- the mutation of the Iriomote cat genes have permanently ‘glued’ itself to her human genes. those cat traits arn’t disappearing anytime soon.

on another note -- while this is the ‘main’ verse of this muse. i certainly do have other verses that apply to the past ( aka when she and the other mews were still in the midst of saving the world ). of course. that isn’t saying she doesn’t fight for the safety of earth anymore. she attends plenty of events regarding environmental protection and cleaning. although these are all done as a common civilian rather than as a mew. and she often attends them with aoyama.
