In my version I wanted to borrow the color schemes from old horror comics, and the old ECC comics I grew up reading as a kid. Pictured are both the full color version and the Noir variant. Around the time of the DaiconIV animation short - the time he was working on (SDF) Macross: Do you Remember Love. You can see the first hints of Gunbuster here as well. I wanted to do these to pay tribute to the roots of this industry defining artist and one of my heroes and probably my biggest influence creatively.
