I actually read on pinterest that Ross's ex-wife, Leigh Janiak was the one to write byler in the series. It's known that Janiak stood up for queer representation in Fear street. She was one of the people helping write the stranger things script, and the one to write byler in it. She was the one to suggest it, hide some of the easter eggs ect.- but as we know, she and Ross divorced during the writing of volume one, nd so she didn't get the chance to stay for the writing of vol.2 and 3. I haven't looked in this yet, whether it's real news (as I stated I found it on pinterest) but I wouldn't be surprised. Given how poor vol.2 and 3's writing was, just thinking about it makes so much sense. They make all these hints, of possibly one of a beautiful queer plotline that had been building up for years- hints, easter eggs, references to other queer plotlines from television shows ect.- even Volume 1 had the byler talk, the 8mm tape, snowball becoming an avalanche, so obvious hints that byler is 90% endgame, even the GA rooting for Will and Mike- then as soon as Janiak and Ross finally divorce, mind you like I said Janiak was main writer in volume 1, but wasn't there for vol.2 or 3 (also the show started to fall apart, in volume 2 and 3, turning kinda bad in my opinion horrible) Byler hints stop, queer bait is full on, Rovickie, aka the ONLY queer reltionship is pushed aside and never addressed ever again.

Okay, so I kinda read a few articles (Poprant, FandomWire, Yahoo ect.) And turns out this theorisation could jn fact be very true, given Janiak and Ross married in 2015, Divorced in 2024. But rn I'm too egshousted to try and write it all down, tho this accusation and susoicous timing is interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if Leigh actually comfirmed it is the truth.
