    i know i’m not particularly active on a good day, but lately i’ve been largely avoiding social media for my own mental health’s sake. i am devastated, anguished, and fucking pissed off that there are so many people in this country, people in positions of power, who are racist and hateful or just plain ignorant to or in denial of the struggles of black people in america, and it’s important for all of us to stand up for what we believe in right now and make the voices of the black community heard. police officers are meant to uphold the law, not live above it, and black americans have suffered the bigotry of this country’s radically militarized and blatantly racist police force for far too long with no support from ANYONE with any power to stop it. i know this is a hard time for a lot of us, and i recognize that my own ability to step away and disengage from this fight to manage my anxiety and depression is a privilege that a lot of people don’t have. though i’m limiting my time on social media, i will continue to use what platform i have to amplify black voices and support the black community however i am capable.

        there is a moment of pause, brows slightly knitting. he has no reason to fuck with the fox at all — no reason to actually lie about something, especially when the topic is so damn trivial. there are a lot of things he wants to explain, such as the fact that he was usually too busy to sit down and watch something that went on for hours at a time. fantasy, beloved by many, is not something he himself has dabbled a lot in due to the fact that his very real life contained a lot of the elements found within.          watching movies.         reading books.         absorbing media.         are these things he should even bother with, anymore?         “i’m not.” 

          is it really that big of a deal if lazarus hasn’t seen lord of the rings? no, not in the slightest. in fact, were this anyone but exactly who it is, he probably wouldn’t be this invested in changing that at all. felix seems to have decided, however, that his newest mission is to convince the hunter to at least try some of the things that he’s never bothered with before, slowly but surely trying to ease him into an appreciation for the little things now that he’s freshly immortal and stuck here just like the trickster himself. that, and it’s nothing if not another excuse to spent more time with him.

          “on second thought,” he sighs, shoulders slumping a little as he deflates, “that doesn’t really surprise me all that much. you know i’m gonna make you watch it now, though, right? it’s good, you’ll like it.”
