/i wanna start rping again... ive been crazy busy but i sometimes doodle majora and i miss his big stupid face
@fellmoonlight liked for a starter
Link felt on edge. Very on edge. It was times like these that his hood and mask felt more like a protective barrier than a way to distance himself and hide his identity from both Ganondorf and the people. Like if this person saw the real him he would pry him apart from the inside out. It already felt as if those unsettling eyes were trying to eat through his hood. There was a strange feeling that was hard to describe.. As though he’d had a bad encounter with this person in another place, another time. Like a connection existed, but it didn’t.
Then he blinked twice and regained his steely focus.
There was a nervous child behind his back, confused by just what was happening. New people didn’t often willingly come to Hyrule, and when they did it was rarely good news.
Link motioned for the child to leave and kept a steady gaze on the stranger.
“..Just who are you? Are you one of Ganondorf’s newest recruits?” It didn’t quite seem like that to Link, but it was the most obvious conclusion to draw.
There was a shuddering feeling of beetles crawling beneath skin, goose pimples cascading across bodies with little fiery pricks of insecurity. Heavy air, strange and warm yet cold in the same breath.
Majora wasn’t one to manifest so plainly before someone--it wasn’t as fun--yet the familiarity was enticing, delectable. He couldn’t help himself.
Familiar, unfamiliar. Ptt.
This boy was not the one who he was very well acquainted with--the boy who had grasped the abilities of higher powers to overwhelm him regretfully--and the mention of Ganondorf almost makes him laugh.
His eyes dart briefly to the child behind the boy as they dart away.
He presents himself lowly, and though he is far taller than the boy he doesn’t stare down his nose however much he wants. Instead he twines his fingers together neatly over his chest, a kind smile resting on his lips.
A deceitfully kind smile.
“Do you greet all strangers like this?”
He knows what Link is feeling. The lost connection of another time. Another winner, loser.
He hopes the words grate him.

❝Maybe one day everything won’t hurt.❞
The air is thick and humid like dark smoke plastering lungs with one deep breath, sinking into pores like a blanket of scared sweat and apprehensiveness. A smile, a frown, and the tall man tips his head looking down at the once grown boy.
“Everything will hurt. New things will come, new things will bury its teeth into your throat and rip it to shreds. I promise.”

Happiness and Friend? :3c
They’re small hands--the ones that grasp the mask tightly, raising it into the air against the light filtering through the treetops. A sprawled man on the ground, unconscious, belongings tossed unceremoniously as the small hands sift through the massive sack before they claim the heart shaped mask.
Though wooden, it courses with life, courses with consciousness, and little fingertips feel the overwhelming power surge through every little crack and splinter in the wooden facade.
Hello. What is your name, little one?
It’s not a real voice, but the small hands can feel them reverberate from his fingertips to his skull, bounding around till ghostly, long fingers rest gently on his shoulders from behind. He wishes to shudder, but he stands stagnant, mask still held high in the air, its massive orange eyes staring down at him as the voice rings like a distant growl or bellow of wind, yet speaks as gentle as a whisper.
You found me. Thank you. I was terribly lonely.
He tries to think, but his blank mind only holds the foreign voice, the mask’s eyes searing through his own and he swears they glow.
Are you lonely too? We can be friends. We can be friends so you won’t be alone anymore. How does that sound?
The numbing blank feeling in his mind is full of a reassurance, though the same feeling sits heavy in the pit of his stomach. A giggle bubbles from his throat, spinning around with the mask in his hands.
I think you and I will have fun. I think you will be a good friend.
