No time for a witty retort, as the look on his face and the sound behind her that kept growing louder and louder told her something bad was just around the proverbial corner. A quick glance behind her just as he started to tell her to run was all the motivation she needed to nod and almost bolt past him.
“WHO TAKES THE TIME TO CARVE OUT A TWO TON BOULDER!?” Somehow the questioning incredulous tone managed to come through despite her frantic yelling. She might have been crying a little bit too…
No place to duck into as the rolling death came down on their heads, but maybe a way to survive at least as she flattened herself to one corner of the floor. The luck of small stature and petite build allowed the boulder to roll past with only a small heart attack as damage and shortly afterward an almost putty-like slump onto the floor.
“Damn… nearly didn’t make it out of that one.” She said, her voice muffled by the floor as she chose to remain face down on the cool stone for a few more minutes.
Eugene very slowly raised from where he had fallen right into a spike trap. Only that he managed to land in-between of the countless pointy deaths. “That was close!” He called out and took a peek ahead, then he climbed out at the other side that would lead him back. There had been someone following him and he wanted to make sure she was alright too.
After he found his torch he looked around in the dark until he found someone laying on the floor. He rested a hand on his hip and cocked his head at the stranger. It was an uncanny coincidence that they both had decided to enter the same tomb. Especially since he didn’t even see hear anywhere near it.
“Are you alright?” He inquired and offered her a hand. “You can lift your head now, that bolder is gone for good.”
Despite his reassurances, Nani stayed where she was for a couple of minutes more. "Yeah, yeah I'm good. I'm uhm... I'm good. These tiles are nice y'know. Real cool on the face." She mumbled into the ground, raising one hand to wave in his general direction to show that she wasn't injured or anything.
She got to her feet, finding that most attempts to dust herself off didn't work as well as she expected. Well, she didn't expect to find pristine polished hallways anyway. "Chisel out an entire boulder just for a damn tomb... man these pharaohs must've really thought they were hot stuff or something."
Still, she was checking every step she made, just in case another trap popped up.

She’d caught up, but it seemed only to be caused by a long hesitation on his part. What was he staring at? A room that seemed to be rigged with some kind of plates. She couldn’t see too well though and her view consisted mostly of his back. Peering through the space between his torso and arm did her well enough though.
“I doubt it’s a real curse.” Now that she was close enough to pull her pistol if need be Nani saw no reason to continue her little game of stealth, commenting in far too casual a manner. “Usually that kind of thing is just to psyche out would be grave robbers. The traps though… those’ll be real enough.”
Eugene still looked around frantically as the ground underneath his heels started to shake. He looked behind himself when he could hear another voice. “Who’s talking there?” Now he was really getting scared. A loud noise coming from the same direction as the stranger’s voice startled him. At first it became quieter - then it slowly became louder. Just as if something big was coming their way…
“Oh no.” He breathed. “You have to run!” Eugene didn’t care who this stranger was. She was currently in mortal danger just like him. “Come on!!” He snapped when he started running. It was a dive into utter darkness as he tried to look for a way to escape the boulder. Just as he thought he couldn’t outrun the rolling bolder, he tripped and fell right into a hole in the ground. “J-Jesus Christ…”

A grumble as she tosses a few pebbles out into the cold drizzle of rain from her perch atop a barrel.
There’s a snicker as she pings the girl in the back of the head with some popcorn.
impulse control ?????? idk her she blocked me

“You parkour yourself into a tree trunk or somethin?”
“Pork-who?”
Pork sounds really good right about now…
“Just think of it as a fancy way of doing backflips.”
Now that November is half over, here’s a fall themed Nani xD

She slipped down the path not far behind… but not close enough either it seemed as the woman stopped at a cross section with three different paths. Oh, this could be bad. The idea of exploring each of them was tempting, but would only lead to her missing out on that bounty. And if she took a falst step well.
Without moving another inch Nani scanned the room, thankful that a place like this didn’t get a lot of foot traffic. Easy enough to notice then the recent scuffs on the dusty floor and torn cobwebs. And with that she knew to follow the leftmost pathway, hurrying but still trying to remain cautious. The last thing she needed was to smack into him because she wasn’t looking and he wasn’t moving.
What’s a thief after in a place like this anyway? Nani thought, summoning a little ball of light as the sun set and the temple darkness deepened. I guess tomb robbing counts though… hm.
Seemingly uninterrupted Eugene continued on, but soon came across the next thing in these dark tunnels that made him stop. “I’m a big fan of fiction, but I wasn’t actually anticipating to enter one of these cursed places myself…” He muttered, still convinced that he was by himself. It helped him to calm down a little in the light of this riddle he had to solve.
There were several stone plates embedded into the wall he was standing in front of. Each of them had inscribtions that he couldn’t read. He stepped closer and squinted at the symbols. After briefly looking each of them over he stepped back. “They all look different, but each of them looks a little like gruesome death… perhaps I should go another way.” He lingered there. Indecisive whether he should miss out on a potential adventure or not.
“Here… goes nothing I guess.” He wanted to step towards the middle plate, but froze when something clicked under his heel. This quiet noise was followed by a much louder one, like something big and heavy fell down in the hallway behind him. “Not good.”
