it somewhat disgusts me that healing happens in phases & cycles bc you can feel totally over something & then boom!!! out of nowhere errupts emotional turmoil over from things you didn't even remember or think about in yearsssss. ugh, such is life. i'm learning to be patient & forgiving with myself for processing things i perceive that i should be "over" already. i don't need to "rush" myself into a point of healing that my ego feels it should have arrived at by now, that is a form of self denial that would only result in more repression, and emotional unmet needs. lessons sometimes take time & that is OK.
