Here is what little girls are being taught at school:   How to treat their bodies as a thing of shame.   How it is an instrument of distraction.  How boys can’t resist the slightest sight of their skin without turning into animals.  How boys bear no responsibility in their conduct towards girls dressed a certain way.  How their education is an obligation, and boys need to be given more consideration.  How testosterone is impossible to keep in check and therefore they must act as the wardens of their bodies.  How a girl’s sex is a prison created at birth.  How it doesn’t matter how intelligent they are, or how kind, or how talented, or how brave.   All little girls are taught from an early age that if they wear a short skirt,or a sleeveless shirt, then they deserve to have their right to an education taken away.

It’s not getting proper treatment for over a decade because people think another female only disease isn’t real. And your insurance still does not cover your prescription even though it’s the only one you can take.

My aunt was pregnant with my cousin and her doctor told her she was overreacting and that it was just gas, that same doctor left gauze in her vagina after she had my cousin and told her that are discomfort was nothing and dismissed her multiple times until she went to the emergency room and they actually looked and skin has started actually growing around the gauze and started to become infected. That man still practices medicine.

12-Year-Old Suspended Because Her Jeans Were Too Tight

Morgan Hull, a student at the Franklin Community Township School Corporation in Indianapolis, went to school last Wednesday in a pair of jeans that were deemed in violation of the school’s dress code because they were too form-fitting. The girl is fully covered and STILL gets in trouble simply because some adult teachers think that it’s inappropriate to wear pants. Apparently it’s “too distracting” or “too sexy.” Who knows what mumbo jumbo they actually tried to claim. This is major bullshit. She is missing school because she is being hyper-sexualized by her administrators.

A Timely Reminder This Thanksgiving - Native Women Have to Work 9 Extra Months to Make the Same Salary as White Men Made Last Year

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: There’s a pay gap between women and men, and that gap is even wider for women of color. But here are a few facts you might not have heard before: American Indian and Alaska Native women are paid just 59 cents for every dollar white men are paid. For Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, that number is 62 cents.

Native women are a notoriously understudied group. According to Catherine Hill, AAUW vice president of research, the relatively small size of their population is at least partially responsible for the lack of information. American Indians and Alaska Natives make up just 2 percent of the U.S. population, about 5.2 million men and women. There are just 1.4 million natives of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands. In contrast, there are 200.9 million people in the white population and 45 million in the black or African American population.

The lack of data means that, for now, we can’t definitively say what is causing this gap, but we can hedge a few guesses. Native people face disproportionate rates of unemployment, poverty, and violence, as well as limited access to education, and women tend to bear the brunt of discrimination. Yes, there’s a pay gap between native men (who are underpaid) and native women.

There is some good news. Native American women are now going to college and holding jobs at higher rates than ever before, and we know that education and good jobs help increase earnings — though they don’t eliminate the wage gap. So for now, we’ll mark September 8, and keep agitating for some real change.

Wait… hold up. Every state is colored in. That can’t be right… right? 

Unfortunately, the map is accurate. And it’s especially problematic for millennial women, who are much more likely to have a bachelor’s degree or higher than millennial men, but who are consistently earning less living and living in poverty more.
