βLetβs give him a show then, huh?β She smiled and whispered. βPull me into you.β
He wrapped his arms around her back and pulled her flush against himβso close she stumbled a tiny bitβand her shoe landed on top of his foot. He didnβt say anything, she was so light it didnβt hurt at all. They both turned their gaze onto Bill, shooting him smug looks like they didnβt give a fuck that he was watching them cuddle.
βWe could kiss?β Scully suggested, whispering up into his ear. βThe cheek kisses seem to really piss him off, imagine if he sees you kissing me on the lips.β
Mulder had imagined kissing Scully a million times. They shared an easy intimacy with each other. They were so comfortable with each otherβs touch, but a kiss on the lips would be a first for them.Β I guess the reason doesnβt matter,Β he thought,Β because if Scully wants me to kiss her, Iβm going to kiss her.
He tugged her chin up, gently pressing his lips onto hers. Her lips were soft. The kiss was chaste for seconds, then it wasnβt, as Scully gently pushed her tongue into his mouth. He sighed as he focused on kissing her as well as he could.Β If this is the only time, I want it to be goodΒ , he thought. His tongue laved her, his lips applied pressure, and his hand stroked up and down her back.
She pulled away, and the loud lip smacking sound would have gotten anyoneβs attention. Mulder was quite sure Bill had watched the whole thing, but he couldnβt take his eyes off Scully long enough to check.
Heβd never felt so euphoric after kissing someone.Β Her eyes were closed as she rested her cheek against his chest. She inhaled loudly; then he heard her make the tiniest little moan. βYou are a really good kisser, Mulder.β
