Have you read @postmodernbeliever or @scullyrraine ? Those were recommended to me and I loved them. I think @postmodernbeliever has more on ao3 too maybe? There might be other Mulder x Reader on ao3 as well. Worth a look anyway!

Wrote a little "Heated Rivalry" one shot, because I'm obsessed with Ilya and Shane.

It was one of those rare moments in life, a swing from incredible stress to intense relief. Ilya could feel Shane relaxing more and more by the minute as they drove back to the cottage after revealing their relationship to Shane’s parents. 

Still, after all these years, Shane could still surprise Ilya. And when they entered the cottage, Shane pushing him against the wall and, dropping to his knees, caused Ilya to gasp. “Oh Fuck,” he muttered as he ran his hands through Shane’s midnight black hair. 

Shane grinned, “Thank you for that.  For all of that,” before taking Ilya’s cock into the hot wetness of his mouth. 

It had been nearly a decade of them doing this—finding each other, pleasuring each other, and now loving each other. 

And although the state of their relationship then and the reality of it now was entirely different, the way Shane dropped to his knees by the doorway reminded Ilya of their first time- Room 1410.

An intense shiver slammed its way up Shane’s spine.

Ilya froze in the moment, his mouth hovering over Shane’s naked body.

“Are you cold, baby?”

Shane closed his eyes and shook his head no.

“Hey…” Ilya whispered, bringing a hand up to Shane’s cheek, feeling him nuzzle in.

Shane shook his head and nuzzled further into Ilya’s warm palm.

Shane moved to roll away but Ilya dropped down on top of him, forcing him to stay on his back.

“Hey, I love you Hollander.”

“Yeah?” Shane answered in response, his voice a gentle whisper.

“Yeah, yes. Love. You. Now let me suck your…”

“I fucking love you too. So much.”

“Okay.” Ilya said, his tone strained, his patience wearing thin.

“Ilya?”

“Whaaaaattt?” Ilya groaned, burying his head in Shane’s stomach.

“Will you call me baby again?”

Ilya’s smile stretched wide.

Ilya placed a quick kiss on Shane’s lips.

Another peck.

When Ilya leaned down for another playful peck, Shane grabbed him, forced his lips open, and sucked on his tongue.

Shane flushed and hesitated.
