April glanced up from her phone’s screen and laughed. “Come on, seriously? Not you as well. I already hear enough of that from people on Twitter.” She couldn’t tell if Nicole was being serious about this or not, so she assumed it was the latter. It’s been over two years now and anyone who was sane has likely gotten over the fact that April retired and fled from the company while she could. Deep down though, she wondered if taking that course of action was the right move. She wondered if management was secretly more upset with her than they made it out to be.
‘ you may hear it a lot but let me remind you of a small, important fact. i am more important than the people on twitter. ’
the words fell from her lips jokingly but that didn’t mean there wasn’t some truth behind them. in her eyes, she should be more important to the former superstar. pulling out the chair that was across from april, she sat down and flashed the woman a soft smile.
‘ plus, people on twitter are just upset that you are no longer wrestling or on television. i, on the other hand, have much more heartfelt reasons on why I say you left me here alone. because you did. you retired. brie retired. saraya is doing god only knows what nowadays. victoria and nattie are still around but it isn’t the same. ’
it is said that you become wiser with age and maybe the past two years was enough for the two extremely women to get some sense knocked into them. for the two who always seemed to but heads to be able to catch up, like civil adults, and enjoy a lunch date between the two. waiting until the waiter came back around to order a drink, nicole leaned back in her seat as a smirk tugged at her lips.
‘ so tell me, you getting bored of retirement yet? ’
