Alexia’s english bbc interview was so good. Really lover that she’s getting more comfortable speaking English and asking things when she’s not sure. Also really cute how when she’s a bit nervous she starts fidgeting with her hands 😭

X is so toxic and Spanish/catalan media only go on and on about alexia, my god they are worse than me after a break up. Why don’t they put that same energy in trying to do some real journalism about la liga and try to grow the media presence of the league that drastically needs more coverage.

I now Spanish fans don’t like the fact that a lot of players say the wsl is better. And I don’t like the word better, it’s not the right word to describe it but if we are honest the wsl is light years ahead in media coverage in investment, etc and it seems like it’s only contuining to grow whereas la liga seems content with what they have now but they still need to do so much. And yes la liga is simply not competitive I know Spanish fans hate to hear it and that doesn’t mean that Barca isn’t the bast team in the world but la liga simply isn’t competitive and partly bcs outside of Barca and Real Madrid (in terms of money) their is not enough investment

Spanish/Catalan journalists spend all their time talking up the WSL and creating toxic environments for (certain 🤨) Spanish/Catalan players, and then play dumb when said players continually go there. The call is coming from inside the house. 😐

I agree Liga F seriously needs far better investment and media coverage. I also think the WSL needs those things too (especially outside the big 4) and the constant bashing of Liga F by English media primarily serves to pat themselves on the back for how well they’re doing and divert attention away from where they may be lacking, rather than from actual concern or desire for Liga F to improve, but maybe I’m being too cynical.

Personally, I think Liga F teams get stuck in a cycle - why bother investing when Barcelona are so dominant? ➡️ Barcelona continue to be dominant as teams don’t invest ➡️ why bother investing when Barcelona are so dominant? And so on.

I feel the WSL is more competitive and attractive overall but English fans are delusional to think Barcelona wouldn’t mostly dominate English teams and also have big scorelines. Like are we actually meant to believe a Barcelona vs Everton game wouldn’t end 6-0 at best lol.

Every time I go #online I see clickbait headlines from Catalan and Spanish media outlets dragging Alexia through the mud and twisting her words. She really kept a lot of so called “journalists” lights on for years and they still want to squeeze every last click out of her. Guardian exclusive today was that the Kerolin issue began with her just not showing up to City’s pre season testing, that in principle they had no issue with the move but the way she went about it/pushed it has left multiple players unhappy because she finished the season on happy teams, no inkling this was the plan — it’s not looking good 😬😬

i was just talking about this with a friend irl! what’s up with her lol, like i said before i’m sure city would’ve been happy to take the money and let her be on her way, sounds like there wasn’t any need to force the move 🤨 it’s funny tho icl, just hope she channels her erm…enthusiasm for barça into great performances

city fan- from what i know and what’s been going around allegedly her attitude caused her to be benched, but when we won the league she was constantly talking about being the first brazilian to win the WSL so clearly she didn’t think it made her less important (at least until Barcelona came along)

and her city teammates clearly aren’t happy about everything considering how many unfollowed her and no one (to my knowledge) has posted a goodbye- so she’s definitely tarnished her reputation at city and ended everything on a negative
