“Solitude matters, and for some people, it’s the air they breathe.”
— Susan Cain
"God blessed me by making me transsexual for the same reason God made wheat but not bread and fruit but not wine, so that humanity might share in the act of creation.” - Julian K. Jarboe
I had an interesting conversation today about gender and identity with a cis man who happened to have scars that looked like top surgery scars. He said “they’re not from as noble a battle wound as top surgery” and I just keep thinking about how badass that makes trans mascs sound (and he’s right, y’all are badass)

i am aware that this piece of mine has been re-posted a thousand times, but now you can re-blog it from the original artist! :~D
edit: since people asked you can now get a print of this here!

ok some days being visibly homo is the most wonderful thing in the world. an old woman walking her dog stopped to say hello to me and I asked if i could say hi to her dog. she seemed really excited and told me "his name is rupert brooke. i named him after a gay poet from the era of the first world war. he had red hair just like my dogs fur". then she leans in and whispers like she's divulging some great secret and says "i don't usually tell people about the gay part"
