Oh boy. Clare’s mother was a photographer, and Clare reached a point where she could not stand having her picture taken, even on school picture days.(She does have a go-to smile she uses for pictures). 

Unfortunately, having a photographer as a mother meant that there aren’t many pictures of Emma Henry in existence.

         psa:  if you ever send me a meme & i don’t answer it, it’s never because i’ve seen it & gone “oh, it’s them”. if i can’t think of a response to a meme right away, i usually keep it in my inbox, or save it to my drafts, & then wait until i get an idea to answer it. or sometimes if i just can’t think of anything at all, or a few people sent in the same one ( sentence memes ) and i can’t think of enough ways to make each unique, then i’ll just end up deleting it. but that never means i don’t want to roleplay with you, or that you can never send another meme in, or ask to thread. just so you buttercups know !!

She smiles when he arrives. It’s hardly a grin - more of a pained grimace, accompanied by a soft wheeze. He seemed… worried. Why? There was nothing to be worried about, she just had a little bit of a stomach ache. Nothing wrong, right? Those men - they’d left after a quick moment. Then her belly had felt wet, and warm, and even a little hurt. But nothing bad enough to be concerned over.

He was telling her to be still, that everything would be fine, that help was on the way. She didn’t need help, though. Everything would be fine.Just fine.

“Ed?”

No fun nicknames this time - she was much too tired for that now. Spots of day and night danced across her vision - she could hardly see his golden hair now, only a soft blur of tan.It’d didn’t matter, though. She’d be able to see him again, just as soon as she awoke.
