āWell first time for everything, youāll like this, might wake you up.ā he replied in stated before going off then stopped and came back. āAlso if you need some fresh clothes I have a wardobe and its down the hallway down the stairs and too the right you should find it.ā
"Right. Thanks." She left to get changed, then came back and followed her nose to the kitchen. She wasn't sure about eating breakfast. Years of skipping it had gotten her used to not having any, and she wasn't really hungry. Just really tired.
phoenix: Soundās crazy, but I believe you. I happen to have met a few time-travelers. If you take away the fact that one of them wantās to kill me itās pretty cool.
"So you've got someone out to get you? Join the club."
āThat would because its not of Earth origin, its actually similar to Earthās breakfest but different. Itās sort of like bacon and eggs but also hint of small little bitty pancakes.ā he replied in stating in general.
"I've never had bacon and eggs either," she admitted after a moment. "Never really ate breakfast. Left the house before David woke up and never had the cash to spare to get myself breakfast. Just lunch. Sometimes not even lunch."
phoenix: What kind of things do you guys do? I promise Iāll believe you.
"You shouldn't make promises you can't keep, you know. We travel through time and space in a big blue box, fighting aliens."
āYou should really get up. I made breakfest if youād like some, none the less see outside of the ship of mine well doors outside that is.ā he meant outside at the space in general, their was also still the smell of food went through the t.a.r.d.i.s. It was mainly breakfest relation and fresh smell too.
"Well... it does smell good." Reluctantly, Lea left the cozy bed and stumbled out, yawning. Her hair was tangled but that could be fixed; she was also in the same clothes still. She hadn't brought extras with her, of course. "What am I smelling? I don't recognize it."
phoenix: If heās dangerous you shouldnāt be hanging around with him. You could get hurt, or worse.
"Could get hurt. Story of my life." Lea shook her head. "No, I don't mind the danger. The things we do... they're incredible. You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
phoenix: Well if it dangerous to tell the truth then i guess itās okay.
"You never know with the Doctor. Everything seems dangerous with him."
He knew itād take some time but he wanted to check on her. So he went over in knocking on the door making sure first she was awake. āMorning you alright in there?ā
"Yeah... morning." Lea sat up and leaned back against the headboard. She was trying to work through this still. Rubbing the back of her head, she realized it probably really was morning. She sort of wanted to go back to sleep. If this was a dream, she'd like to keep having it and not wake up.
Phoenix: Why would he lie to you? Lying is wrong, it leads to nothing but trouble, Iād know, Iām a lawyer.
Lea smiled at the very thought. Lawyers. Never did her very much good. David always got off the hook in the end. "I suspect it's 'cause it's dangerous to tell me the truth. S'alright. Doesn't bother me so much."

"Not a problem, mister. My name's Lea. Just let me know if you need anything." The redhead turned her eyes back to the journal she was absentmindedly scribbling in with a pencil, rubbing her bruised cheek. The mark was fading but still a bit painful.

"And that's where I come in, where children are involved anyhow. Every child that's got a bad dream makes a wish about it sooner or later. I come when called." Caretaker shrugged as well.
He sat there in thought mainly letting her rest through the night, he wanted to help her aleast get somewhere safe and sound also just give her a fresh new start if he could. He sighed in thought because some of what she acted like made him think back to past companions and he also always knew who but never knew why. He wondered about that.
When she finally woke up, she stayed in bed, trying to process this. She was really free from David. The bruises would fade and there would be no fresh ones to replace them, no cuts, no broken bones or trips to the hospital because she'd "tripped down the stairs again." Lea rested her head on her hand and stared at the wall. This would take some getting used to, that was certain.
Phoenix: Sounds like heās pretty outgoing, Iāll let you know if I see him, whatās his name?
"He calls himself the Doctor. Not sure if that's his name. I never bothered to ask, really. Don't think he'd tell me the truth anyway."
phoenix: No, I donāt think so.
phoenix: Why are you looking for him?
"He's my friend. Traveling companion, I guess you could say. Something like that... well, thank you anyways. Not surprising. He runs off after trouble wherever we go."

"Lea Johnston. Have you seen a funny man runnin' around with a bow tie, talking about a big blue box called the TARDIS?"
