Izuku was a grown ass adult.Ā That meant that he was able to control himself and not cause a scene at the Pro Hero Gala.Ā Theoretically.Ā Fukukado Emi was testing that theory tonight however.Ā Izuku had known before he and Shouta had started dating that Ms. Joke wasā¦sort of obsessed with Shouta.Ā So heād expected the ājokingā marriage proposals and flirting.Ā What he hadnāt expected was her tossing mentions of how theyād dated at one point into damn near every conversation Izuku was in earshot of.Ā Ā
She mentioned how jealous and possessive heād been, and heād heard the word toxic thrown around a few times as well.Ā Judging from Shoutaās exasperated expression, this wasnāt something new.Ā Izuku didnāt drink often, and he never drank enough to lose control of himself-but heād maybe drank just enough to loosen his tongue, because the next time Emi made a comment about how toxic Shouta had been in their relationship, he couldnāt help but respond.
āWell, for all that you say he was jealous and possessive and downright toxic to you, you certainly seem eager to jump back on his dick,ā Izuku murmured with a raised eyebrow, tossing back the rest of his drink.
Emi made a strangled choking noise, her face flushed at the admittedly crude comment, and Shouta shook her off for the first time all evening.Ā āWeāre leaving,ā he announced abruptly, grabbing Izuku by the arm to haul him out of the room.Ā Ā
āDo I need to apologize to you for that?āĀ Izuku asked, a little puzzled by their sudden departure when Shouta hadnāt seemed overly anxious to leave prior to his comment.
āNo,ā Shouta said evenly.Ā āIām taking you home so I can drag you into bed.Ā You being a little mean to Joke was the hottest thing Iāve seen in my life.Ā Questions, comments, concerns?ā
