“You have but I like to hear it,” he chuckled. He took her hand and tugged her closer towards him. “I would love to go to the bakery,” he said. “On me.” He smiled and headed that way, glancing over at her as they walked hand in hand.

That sentiment alone was enough to leave the djinn’s lips curling in pleasure, happy to hear that Fern felt comfortable enough in her suite to feel even slightly at home. Instead of his normal smirk or closed lip smile, Warren grinned a wide toothy grin. This woman was desperate to come to a random vampire and ask to be altered. Permanently. He watched her as she worked herself up again, only to go quiet with embarrassment. “I can take away your nerves, insecurities, and self-doubt. Is that what you want?” Warren asked, stepping closer, enough to garner all of her attention, voice a low seductive whisper of promise.
Once the man’s words reached her ears, wide eyes blinked up at him, nodding before she even had the voice to state her agreement. Had that been all it would take? Would her dream finally come true so that she’d become a better woman? One who people liked even more? “Y-You can do that?”, Fern whispered hopefully. “Yes, I mean yes! That would be amazing, I don’t know how I could ever thank you, Warren!” Her heart picked up its pace in anticipation and excitement, her mind picturing her new life.

Maybe I’ve seen it before” Fern never truly had a job since she arrived on the island but sometimes, back in California, she had helped an old shop owner. He had been a lovely man.
