Gosh..what was going on with her?? It wasn’t unusual for Daisy for want to see Matt, he was one of her oldest and closest friends after all. But this was different, more intense that just a desire to see him and catch up over ice cream or drinks. No..she needed to see him. With a burn that went all through her body and left her nearly lightheaded. Just the image of his face, the feel of his hands on her body... Okay this was silly, sitting her and letting her imagination run wild, when the real thing was oh so much better. And he liked her! He wouldn’t tell her no. So Daisy dressed with care, feeling particularly merry with the holidays coming up, and drove to his house as fast as she could. Hoping he would be home..

And he was! The redhead smiled widely when Matt opened the door, instantly greeting him with a crushing hug. “Surprise! I just had to see you!”

“Dhani always said he thought you held too many secrets... You were too guarded. I suppose he was right. Even a little visit by the guidance counselor is too much for you.”

Jody practically sneered at the abruptness and dismissive attitude Matthew  seemed to have towards him. They weren’t exactly best pals, the pair of them, but Jody’s seen Matthew around. He knew he and Grace where extremely close. Before this change, he got along with people with relative ease.

It was such a shame people were writing him off because he suddenly looked so different and didn’t sound exactly like the gentle soul he seemed to be before.

“I’m sorry,” he chuckled. He grinned a little bit as he looked down at her. “You just look absolutely amazing today, and I find myself wanting to spend some of my afternoon with you.”

Ash smiled at him when he complimented her before chuckling softly. “Well,” she said slowly. “I guess that would be okay- what did you have planned for the afternoon?”

“You’re tellin’ me...” Cherry gave the master a bit of a sad smile, looking up from playing the borrowed banjo, plucking away, but nothing too cheery. It was obvious that wasn’t the mood she was in and why Matthew had perhaps decided to talk to her.

“I’m still struggling... Even being here as long as I have now. Being without my power isn’t something I’ll ever get used to... or want to get used to.”
